I’ve been going to Golden Crown for the last 15 years and it’s the best Chinese takeaway local to Prestwich & Whitefield. It is very reasonably priced and delicious. You’re best calling to order and collecting (they are cash only).

The fried rice is the best I've ever had and the curry sauce is delicious and the staff are friendly. I really love this place!

Just ordered from here, the food was so good and delicious and we had 1 problem with our order which they fixed and replaced really quickly.

Omg ....all I've got to say about this place is superb Chinese food to its best..so authentic and cooked so well. 2nd time in a week I've ordered from here ...crispy beef and salt and pepper chips are the best ...and the prices are so good ...well done Golden crown .. I live in rawtenstall and I will make sure this is my go to Chinese .

Ordered Special Vermicelli Singapore Style and prawn toast. Really really good, nice and spicy. Usually go to another Chinese take away down the road but thought I'd give this one a try, so glad I did. Would recommend.

Our go to chinese. Love it, chips proper chippy chips. We get crispy chicken in ok sauce its so nice. Been going here years and if we've ever had a problem, whilst thats only been once they corrected it straight away.

This is our local Chinese takeaway. It can't be beaten in the area, the food is always delicious, hot and they do big portions. They have a great choice of items and service is always quick or worth waiting for on the odd occasion it's not. The only negative is that it is cash only but it is worth the effort to go and get cash out. I would highly recommend the salt and pepper chicken, special curry, bbq ribs in bbq sauce to name a few.

Classic Chinese takeaway. Not many vegetarian dishes on the menu, but they will happily do any requests of dishes without the meat. Love the salt and pepper chips. And crispy beef in OK sauce.

Wanted to love it because not for the first time Armstrongs done the road was closed without warning but the fish and chips here was at best bland and at worst a bit rancid tasting.

Tried the Golden Crown for dinner last nite as the China Palace where we always go up the road was closed. Food was very bland, blackbean sauce just like gravy with no taste at all, soft noodle soggy, egg fried rice and the crispy seaweed were ok and the prawn crackers oily too. Much smaller portions & a crispy seaweed for £3.40 ? Will not be using again, sorry !

Shame, used to love this place, thought we would try again one meal was beautiful but the chow mein was so bland, way too much baking soda (or whatever is used to tender) in the food, meat didn't taste real, ordered crispy noodles got soft. A bit off putting. Sorry

Levitating staff members Make the visit , I only ordered Deceased chicken leg and sauce. But the Grandmother 20 feet in the Air Reciting Bertold Brecht in Norwegian was the Highlight of the Day.

Great service as always and all the Covid measures add to piece of mind. Would use again.

My family has been ordering food from the Golden Crown for 30 years. The service is excellent and very efficient. The food is excellent and really good value. We really enjoy our local chinese takeaway.

Tenía costillas de aquí que no tenían carne, eran como huesos fritos en una capa, normalmente la comida está bien pero no es siempre buena, no volveré a ir, harta de gastar dinero allí y, a veces, la comida está mal. bueno y a veces solo necesita binning como mis costillas. After the food time being changed adding an extra 10 minutes, the food was then 20 minutes late after I had to wait over an hour for my food to be delivered. Half the food was cold by the time it arrived.

Fillet beef wasn't nice at all thought by paying more and getting fillet beef rather then just beef in black pepper would be proper beef but wasn't and was very nice but the sauce was lovely. Chicken, rice curry sauce was lovely tho.

Food was 20 mins late with no apology when I rang to chase it. The food didn't seem fresh, as though it was leftover from day before. Chicken skewers were really dry either over cooked or had been sat under heat lamps for hours.

30 mins late order from here regular and never get the free prawn crackers

The meal arrived 30 minutes early, but the chicken was so dry, it must have been made hours ago. I really wouldn't have minded waiting the extra time to get it fresh. I love this takeaway, we've been ordering from here for years, but the salt and pepper chicken tonight was inedible. Sorry.

Best Chinese I have ever had! Crispy beef was PERFECT which is very rare to find! Sweet and sour chicken was amaze and so were the spring rolls. My new fav Chinese thank uuu 💖

Wrong noodles sent asked for specific ones because of allergies, salt and pepper chips been cooked twice very chewy and greasy! Delivery guy has no change so my order that was £18 cost me £20 really annoyed! Disappointed

We've ordered many times from here and the good quality is very good, would recommend the chicken chow mein. Service and delivery also good. Will definitely use again

Chow mein....nice but not enough prawns, only 2 in a portion, disappointed. Delivery an hour later than confirmation... it was Valentines but still it was very late. Put more staff on during busy periods please. Thanks

The satay sauce was more of a gravy, tasted ok but but what was expected.

My self and my fiancée have been here many times now, we have never been disappointed the food is always fantastic, brilliant we tried the half duck it was so tasty cannot fault it it is the BEST Chinese by a long way can't wait to go back thank you so much Phil and Clair

The food is amazing but delivery was over half hour later than they said which wasn't communicated. We had to chase twice. Wouldn't stop us ordering again but they should have just updated the time.
