the best authentic Hong Kong Chinese food, potions are huge and the food is amazing unfortunately the lady on the till is very rude but that gives it a more authentic Hong Kong service I suppose it is always very busy so book in advance free parking on the side street

All 5*, but I'm not rating this place on any of the other categories other than the food which was exceptional. it's as authentic an experience to south china Guangdong cuaine as you can get this side of Manchester. Having lived in china for 10 years and 广州 (Guangzhou) a good part of that I know my Cantonese food. Don't expect fine dining , posh tables etc. Do expect fantastic authentically cooked food made there and then. Be open the a "local" other culture experience. One of the best dapaidan (大排档) in UK. English bendiren will mostly likely love the King prawns and smoked beef noodles dishes(干炒牛河). But it' all was great. I loved the duck and char siu.

Traditional Tang restaurant, traditional taste

We went there for authentic Cantonese food but was a bit disappointed. We ordered beef fried noodle in black bean sauce (豉椒牛河）, triple roast rice (三燒飯）and stir fried vegetables. The noodle - sauce does not taste authentic, and the noodle (ho fan) is a bit chewy so I guess they don't use fresh but dried noodle instead Roast rice - they offer roast pork, cha siu and duck - portion is large but the meats are not really tasty, especially the cha siu which is a bit dry and the colour (the kind of redness if you know what I am talking about) does not look right. Fried vegetables - we ordered stir fried water spinach with chilli and fermented bean curd 椒絲腐乳通菜. This is good , tasty and my kid loves it. One negative thing about this restaurant is that it's very noisy and you won't be able to hear what your friends are saying, so you have to nearly shout to each other if you really want to talk. Not recommended for groups who want to have a happy and nice chat.

We ordered quite a lot of seafoods and my favourite would be the deep fried squids and also the razor clams. Actually none of the dishes has disappointed me so far, everything is hot enough and presentable. We had 12 people and the portion of each dishes is enough for us to share. Delicious, authentic and priced really well. Definitely recommend visiting this place when in Manchester. We had our pet dog with us, asked the staff if they’re dog friendly, and they allowed us to bring our dog in, as long as we kept him under our table.

Choose of Chinese dishes is lots and the size is good. Fried noodle with meat is my favourite

Delicious chiniese food is a completely different experience than your local chiniese chippy or all you can eat buffet! You will be positively surprised! Strongly recommend. Very good service, 👍🏻 We will be back again 😀 👌🏻

If you want a real taste of Hong Kong style service, this place is for you! You’d experience the rudeness of local HK people just like you’re in HK! (If you Google the 2 keywords I’m sure you’d find lots of results) HK people are also famous for maximising profit at the expense of people’s comfort, where high rise buildings are packed together, a family of 4 living in a tiny tiny flat. That’s what you can expect in the restaurant. If you refuse the table you were given you’d feel like a child being yelled at by your Asian mum for not doing as you were told😔 On the bright side, Asian mums tend to feed their children well, so at least your stomach is satisfied👌🏼

Nice food. Not many places do traditional Roasts now for Chinese people however, for me it's getting just a little bit over priced...And can be slow if busy.

Probably the best roast meats in Manchester. The roast pork was super crispy and moist at the same time!

The raw stir-fried bones are delicious, the pork chop and beef ribs are too much soda powder, the lamb brisket is too sour, and the stir-fried vegetables are good.

The three roast meats is extremely dry. The rice was hard, almost raw. Please do not order. Called to place pick up order and answered by a rude lady. She called back twice within 40 minutes to say something and something else wasn’t available,’ meaning they didn’t begin cooking the order until at least 40 minutes later. This was at 8PM. The crispy noodles were nice. Please do not order the three roast though.

I’ve ordered a three roast rice, which includes pork belly, duck and char siu. We also ordered a duck soup hor fun, the soup broth was flavoursome, had the fragrance from the duck. It’s a shame the noodles were over cooked and not the typical thick hor fun you get. I do enjoy their milk tea and ice teas though.

Very authentic cantonese crusine. It is always fully booked on the weekends, so do remember to make a reservation in advance. There is only curb side parking beside the restaurant. 2 meat dishes, 1 fried rice, 1 horfun, and 1 vegetable cost about £63. 👍worth the price and calories.

跟朋友慶祝生日，就來到這間中餐廳試一下。叫了好幾個小菜，加一個素菜。 松子魚，炸得不夠脆，非常多魚骨。要好小心吃。 墨魚，老闆推介，可惜非常失望，咬落感覺有點霉，不知道是否是雪藏墨魚關，定還是浸得太久。 黑椒牛仔骨，放入口已經好大陣梳打粉味，過度太多梳打粉關係，牛仔骨肉質同樣帶點霉，不好吃。相反黑椒味道夠晒辣惹味。 黑椒雞球飯，由於是為一位素食朋友而叫的，所以味道不太清楚。問他味道反映，他回答只是OK啦。 芥蘭，相信從相片中都會看到比較多油。 豆腐煲跟梅菜扣肉煲，芡汁非常多。尤其是梅菜扣肉，芋頭不夠粉，由於芡汁實在太多芋頭又不夠粉，這幾碟菜之中最差的一個，很不好吃。 炸生蠔，炸得非常好，可是味道太鹹了～ 整體來說，幾碟菜式都感覺芡汁過度，落油太多，吃完餐飯，只會覺得非常油膩！非常失望～

Good taste chinese restaurant. Easy to find to park your car outside restaurant. It is not offical car park .you can just park on the street. If you have over 4 people please book the table first. It is busy for weekend. No service charge on the bill. There have a lot of hong kong style food provide.also ice lemon tea and ice mike tea to drink.

Managed to get table without booking ahead but clearly was very lucky as customers queuing for it to open. Predominantly HKers. Friendly staff. Seating is quite close but they've opened up the other half of the floor since my last visit so clearly in demand. Quite noisey due to popularity. Not sure they accept card payments.

The best wok fired Cantonese dishes in the UK (if not in Manchester). I guess the chefs are from Hong Kong. Litterally you can order food by speaking Cantonese. Dishes are full of 鑊氣 Wok-Qi.

My mother has actually been to this place a few times before but never taken us. It’s a bit out of town and you park on the side streets. We came this time after they had just expanded the place which I’ve been told is still too small. Restaurant is very bright and very loud. Booking a table is advised as it’s always busy. You can tell how good this place is from the clientele. They were all Chinese and many families with 3 generations came to eat. If the grandparents are out too it’s a good sign. We ordered Kai lan, special hor fun, braised aubergine and sweet and sour ribs. Dishes arrived quickly enough considering restaurant full. All dishes were perfect. Service was good. There was no service charge on our bill which I found surprising since most Chinese restaurants are heading that way nowadays. But I always tip. Prices reasonable post covid era Will definitely be coming again.

We were their very loyal customers, visited a lot times. Before when I tried to call them to make a reservation, they always said no reservation can be made, just pop in and wait you will get seated if any available. So today, Mother’s Day, we popped in at 5:30pm. The restaurant was half full, still a lot table were free. Then an old lady with short hair asked us ‘ did you make reservation?’ We said no, you did not allow us to make reservations before. She said very impolitely and impatient ‘ today is Mother’s Day! Special day!We are very busy, all fully booked!’ We tried to ask what time was other reservations? We came early and we can finish in one hour so if any reservations was after 6:30pm, we could give the table back before that time. She was very rude with unhappy face said ‘some reservations are 7/8:00 pm, but it’s not about that, you did not make reservation!’ OK, fine! We will never make any more reservation. Keep your HIGH LEVEL attitude and customer service! Thanks!

Very nice,clean spacious cafe serving authentic Chinese food, I say cafe because of the size and menu. I had a limited choice as the meat us not halal so I opted for the tofu and veg stir-fry with boiled rice included. I like tofu so the dish was up to my standards. My friend had the mar por tofu and we ordered a side of kailan with some Chinese tea. We came on Thursday lunchtime so it wasn't too busy. Would definitely come again to try something else. Street parking on the side.

I used to come here all the time. The food is absolutely spot on. However rarely do I feel so unwelcome when I enter a restaurant or take away quite as much as I do here. The serving staff are really rude. I have no idea where the utter destain for certain customers came from. I have always been polite and understanding to them and yet I find myself biting down hard on my lip not to tell them how it is. Instead you decide. The food is good though.

Was recommended this by a friend who lives in Manchester. At first I thought it was a new restaurant opened by BNOs as I know a lot have come over and ventured into the food business. Turns out its been there 5 years and my friend only recently discovered it 😂😅 Food was excellent, the beef brisket to die for and I will be returning again in the new year.

Very authentic Chinese restaurant, you are greeted with all Chinese customer which is always a good sign. Recommend the black pepper beef rib which has a really good HK style taste wok hei.

First time trying here.... soooooooooo goooooooooood!!!!! We get take out from here. We ring it through and are usually only waiting around 20 minutes before we go to collect. Delivery is usually only around 30 mins. Staff are friendly. Kitchen is open so you can see what and how the food is cooked. Very clean. Always very busy which is a good sign. Honestly the best chinese food I've had out of China itself. Really fresh, not filled with additives or watered down. Great quality food and service always

A Chinese restaurant aimed at the Chinese community. It was pack in here today and people where getting turned away which isn't very Chinese. Had ho fun with beef in black bean sauce, morning glory and salt and pepper chicken wings. Really for 2 people. I thought it was very good. Just over £30. The kitchen had a jet engine to heat up the woks and that is how it should be.

Very lovely place for Chinese food! The razor clamp, steamed scallop, lobster Yee mee and their milk tea are highly recommended. Six of us with two dishes of lobster only cost us approximately £200. Fast pace service, comfortable place. Will definitely come again.

I came to the restaurant with a group of friends for reunion. We booked a table two days ago. My friends living nearby said that you could only have a table upon pre-booking! Walk-in to have a table is almost impossible. More importantly If you would like to enjoy Dai pai dong seafood which is Hong Kong cuisine, you should pre-book too. I came from Hong Kong and I could say that they could cook Dai pai dong seafood professionally. Better than Hong Kong!!!! If you would like to try something new asia food and now you have a choice here!!! In addition to Thai and Vietnamese food, you should try Hong Kong food!

This is a regular lunch destination for authentic, tasty Cantonese cuisine. We had the XO mixed seafood with ho fun, brisket & wonton soup noodles and three roast meat. Everything was tasty as usual with decent portions for the price.

My first visit to this Chinese restaurant. The place was busy. The food came out in good time. The food is average and our steamed Okra (ladyfingers) came out a little cold. My 2 star rating is for the food and another 2 star is for the parking convenience. Unlike Chinatown you will have to fork out extra for parking. You can park by the roadside. This place is open in the morning Unlike other Chinese restaurants. Fancy a Chinese for breakfast than you have found it.

Although the decor is fairly basic, the queues you can find outside the restaurant at peak times speaks volumes about the food served here. Good quality Chinese cuisine, but without the City Centre Chinatown prices. To add to the anticipation of your food, there is a large TV in the corner of the restaurant showing a Chinese channel dedicated to delicious cooking !
