Azuma in Manchester

This place is a perfect location for anyone who might not know what Hotpot or Korean BBQ is. It has an easy system and costs are pretty average all things considered for an all you can eat. There is a time limit but there is plenty of time to eat everything you possibly want. It's also very close to the University, however it can feel very crowded during peak hours.

Poor quality of food,no desert and you will spend most of the time cooking than eating.

It was out first time visiting a hotpot and Korean bbq place. The staff were lovely and explained how it all works, how to cook the meats and veg and how long they can take for it. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to try it out.

I had both hotpot and BBQ on Sunday lunchtime. We had to gather at least 5 persons to get both. It costs £28.8/px. Total time 2hrs. The BBQ is needless to say. Really good. Taste is good. They marinated with sauce. A variety of choices. For Hotpot, it is a big NO.👎👎👎👎👎. Not much to choose. Very few things to choose. It takes about 20mins to boil the soup. What a waste of time. Food is one of the best. After having 4 or 5 times ordering for a hotpot buffet, the staff started asking us - "do you want to stop?" Every single time after I hv ticked the order paper. It is kinda annoying considering "The Hotpot Buffet". And yes it is within the given time limit as well.

It was a buffet without the buffet but you get unlimited orders like meat. They had a great deal and the drinks were refillable. We got the hotpot and the grill but the meats were a little too salty. Overall, i would visit this restaurant again because of the great deals. One note is that the egg fried rice just needs spring onion and more taste.

It was delicious and with a good atmosphere. I just want to ask for better air conditioning because I had to wash all my clothes from the oily smell. I really want to visit this place again!

It was super unpalatable. I went to eat it today. I read Xiaohongshu’s recommendation and it was really disappointing. The barbecue ingredients smelled stale and the seasoning was unpleasant. I took two bites and ran away quickly. It was too unpalatable! ! ! Moreover, my friend and I both started to feel nauseous after eating, and felt like vomiting. We really need to pay attention to food safety issues.

Amazing first experience with Korean BBQ, and the staff were super nice and helpful. The restaurant is small, which gives it a proper friendly and cosy vibe. You can order food off the menu, or you have an option of a hotpot or a Korean BBQ (both are all you can eat). We had the Korean BBQ, it was really easy to order, and you are given a sheet with loads of options. The portions you are given are based on how many in your party I believe, and you are given plenty to enjoy. Between 4 of us, we had 8 different meats and 4 different veggies, and that filled us up! I would personally recommend the squid tentacles and the spicy beef, all the food was super yum but those were my personal faves. Will definitely go back to try the hotpot.

this is our first time here and it cost £28 per person and you are only allowed to stay for 2 hours its unlimited buffet but doing bbq will take your time overall its an average place to go for a korean food

It was a very good Chinese hot pot experience, my friend and I ate very full, this restaurant is a restaurant for Chinese food and hot pot, this time we chose the hot pot set, charge 22.8 pounds per person, you can order unlimited hot pot set food, meat and seafood are very fresh. I will try the Chinese food here again next time

We went to try Korean food for the first time. The Food was nice, though I felt it was overpriced for a hotpot where you cook it yourself. While it was all-you-can-eat, it wasn't for me. The staff were friendly and accommodating, although we encountered some communication barriers. The atmosphere was relaxed enough, though it was quiet due to the time of day. All in all it was a good expereience. Lastly, watch out for children's meals. Azuma charges adult prices for children too.

Lovely Korean BBQ . Delicious food and good service

Hubby to be took me here for my birthday after we had spent the day at the Christmas markets. He booked it as we'd eaten at the Preston one when it was open and we loved it. Can safely say this one was as good if not better. The staff were amazing they were friendly and very helpful. There's a good selection of meats, fish and veg to choose from, it all comes out raw and you cook it yourself. Meats we had prawns, pork and beef with egg fried rice (comes out cooked) and veg we picked leeks, carrots and mushroom. The meats are thinly sliced so they cook quickly and very well seasoned so they taste amazing. Highly recommend this place.

There is a bargain luncheon, A dish + egg fried rice/rice + drink only £9.8! It's close to the business school! Recommended: Sweet and sour pork I really like it. It's sweet and sour and crispy. The beef brisket and the potatoes are both very soft and very flavorful and it goes well with egg fried rice.

The staff is SO nice and kind and helpful, always there for your every need and so friendly too. Ive genuinely got to say this is one of the 2 genuine and lovely restaurant experience ive had with staff in manchester. The food was amazing and the prie was really worth it too. Everything tasted really fresh and the portions were perfect. For all you can eat youll get the best quality anything from this type of dining. I would 100% recommend going here. You will not be disappointed .

First time doing bbq. Food was delicious and good value. Staff were really helpful. We had a baby with us and they really helped with that as well. We look forward to returning. Our favourite dishes were the spicy pork belly, the chicken hearts and the pepper beef.

Amazing!! We went with no reservation Sunday 12:30 ish. We were greeted and seated, everything explained in detail, very friendly service. The quality of the food was waaay better than other Korean bbq places I've been to in the UK. It was around £28 for all you can eat in 2hrs (charge for any food taken away/ wasted). Drinks were nice too. Have had Korean bbq in Korea several times and I can say this is a good quality restaurant. I am sure we will be back.

Great food! I went there with a few friends 2 of them were chinese and told me about this restaurant. They said it was the authentic Chinese Hot Pot experience, we also had Korean Bbq and it was superb! I couldnt recommend it more, just make sure you come hungry as it is all you can eat

The service is incredible, I was immediately seated and greeted at the door upon arrival! The friendliest of staff assisted with telling us how the hot plate worked, the service was rapid and consistent! They gave us advice and always checked up on our wellbeing after each round! The buffet is immaculate, the food is pure heaven, tastes just like a traditional hot plate platter. The variety is fantastic too you have a range of all meats, veg, and seafood that are freshly prepared in the kitchen and brought directly to you. The drinks menu is no different, there's a variety of Eastern, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages on the menu as well as some fun house special drinks. The cleanliness of the venue is on point, not a single spec of dust was found anywhere near the tables, and the toilets were refreshing! I will be going back again and I can highly recommend this place if you're looking for both a great meal and a fantastic eating experience!

Superb as always if you like spicy szechuen food. I would say it is the best in Manchester for this type of cuisine. Also serves BBQ and hotpot so be prepare for the smell in the restaurant. A touch expensive but everything is nowadays.

A surprise find which turned out to be an absolute gem! As we love Korean BBQs we are always picky with the food; it definitely rose to the expectation! The food was absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful cuts full of flavour and fresh. We were definitely impressed and will return without a doubt! They also have a nice selection of veggies, which makes every plate even tastier. Very curious to try their hot pots and other dishes as well now!

Visited on a Sunday for a bbq buffet, the meat is really delicious and well marinated. The older guy who works here is super friendly and accommodating. We've visited a few times before and always really enjoyed it. I only lowered to a 4 as there was less meat options than last time and we had a few issues with the bbq itself not working at the start. We got the pepper beef, spicy beef with bone, chicken thigh, spicy pork belly, and regular pork belly. The beef and chicken tasted amazing and we went for seconds on both. The pork was also good but we didn't need both portions, that was our mistake. You get a 2 hour time limit for the bbq which is plenty of time to enjoy yourself. For the price it's actually pretty good value compared to other similar bbqs and tastes better than most.

Food's really good, quality ingredients, and attentive service. Got the BBQ buffet for 2 solid hours, had the meat, veggie and seafood options. We left the shop with fully bellies and barely able to walk! Definitely worth coming back.

One of the best establishments I've eaten in. The Korean BBQ is exquisite. We went with the Black pepper beef, spicy beef short rib, chicken wings, spicy pork. Everything is perfect.

NEW REVIEW - Came again for lunchtime bbq. Not that busy compared to night time which is great. Food quality and service great as usual, kept our drinks topped up. They didn't have any cocktails so we were offered complimentary soju. Godfrey, the Manager, is the best host ever. He knows how to make you leave happy and drunk with a full belly every time. Will definitely be coming back. -------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW- Went for a client's BD. Had hotpot and BBQ. Food was not amazing but good for all you can eat. Only street parking available and spaces are scarce. Despitw all this, I would deffo come back just for the host, Godfrey, who is a living legend and makes anyone's night enjoyable. Hats off to Godfrey and staff n hope to see them soon again.

An amazing restaurant! We were a group of 8 people and we had an amazing time. The atmosphere was perfect, decoration is excellent, food was perfect with fresh ingredients. Staff were so friendly and attentive! You could tell they love their jobs!! Will 100% come again!

The staff were all lovely and the languages they could speak ranged from English to Chinese and Korean. They were very helpful in recommending food and drink and the service was quick, clean and efficient- much like the whole of the building and bathrooms. The food was great and they had lots of options but not so many it was over whelming. Only issues were the egg fried rice was a little bland, and when the food came out for the Korean BBQ there were no details as to what each dish was- so we had no idea if it was beef or pork, but either way the marinade was delicious and the atmosphere was great. We spent a while in there enjoying brilliant food, from brilliant people with a brilliant atmosphere. Very strongly recommend this place for Korean BBQ.

Suitable for gathering and meat eater. If you are looking for real Korean BBQ, it may not fits you. Meat is not as premium as those Korea resturants. But all you can eat, you can expect what they offer. Service is good, waitresses are nice and helpful. 30£ for an adult is a bit expensive while food quality is fair quality.

Went for the hot pot, absolutely amazed with the quality of food. Try the hot pot you will not regret it. Staff are slow and reluctant to serve additional drinks, only a minor issue in my experience, but I can see how it would put somebody off going.

It was this restaurant that opened Korean cuisine for me from a new side, I had never come across successful examples before. The food was delicious, the portions were large for reasonable money. I recommend it.

This was brilliant, we (2 people) went for BBQ at 8pm on a Saturday, no reservations and it was quite busy but a staff member was able to get us a table with half an hour's notice so we popped round the corner for a pint. With the BBQ it's approx £30 per person, you cook everything yourself on a hot plate in the table which is extremely fun, and it's unlimited food for 2 hours. There is a charge if you leave loads of leftovers to discourage wastage but we didn't have this issue! The staff are helpful and efficient, and every table gets baby wipes because you will get messy 😂 Two recommendations: - Get the original pork belly - Go hungry!

Amazing restaurant, the way you cook and serve yourself is especially original and also makes for good conversation, during your time there. If you need to be original on a date or having a relaxing business dinner I highly recommend Azuma. But go first to try out as this is a foodie paradise but you need to know the experience first

Go for the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and don't look back. Highly attentive staff that will keep you busy grilling and eating away. Reasonably priced as well.

My fave was the peppered beef and spicy chicken, particularly delish! 1 star docked because the waitress picked up the tongs which I had set aside for cooked meat and used it to handle the raw meat, even though I had everything under controlled... I was concerned about potential cross contamination, but luckily we were fine this time.

Absolutely my favorite place for Chinese and Korean cuisine.

Amazing meal, definitely gonna go again. We went for our anniversary and had the bbq for 2. Its all you can eat for 29pp and you get your moneys worth. Quality of the food is good and the bbq part is so much fun and great for a long meal together. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was good just to people watch.
