Super yummy, second time I've ordered! Consistently good. I get the sweet + sour chicken and prawn crackers. Beware though, the fries are actually friends, not chips. Not a problem anyway, as the steamed rice is good too!

Mariam was really really nice and constantly made sure we we’re okay with our food, i’m very happy with her service.

Recently I took my team to Yum-cha for dinner and we held our monthly meeting while we were there. What a great restaurant. The staff were absolutely amazing and they were delighted to help us understand how the menu worked and were really excited for the food we are about to eat. The manager Hannah is very involved and seems to really care about our dining room experience. I can’t think of a better place to hold monthly meetings moving forward and we will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Quite disappointing.. I went with my boyfriend with high expectations about the food with all the good reviews but unfortunately it wasn’t the case. The aubergine main was tasteless, even the sauce, the egg rice as well with a very little bit of egg in it. The dumplings were ok and the pork belly a bit too salty for my taste. Although, the service was impeccable, the guy that served us was lovely, kind and friendly. Maybe it was just not the day, hopefully for others is not gonna be the same.

The environment is comfortable, the food is great, and the service is perfect. Thanks Lisa for making our experience more delightful with her exceptional service and warm smile!

Busy central Asian restaurant. Reasonably priced overall (£12 mains) and very generous portions. All served quickly with a smile - decent food, not outstanding, but perfectly good and nothing to complain about.

Got amazing table service from Mariam!!! Food was super yummy as well.

Should have walked out the moment I saw Japanese text on the wall at a restaurant serving Chinese dishes. The portion of rice was very small, roasted pork tasted like salt and nothing else, charsiu tasted overly sweet, „roasted“ chicken was extra tasteless and the roasted duck was the only edible one in my bowl. Also the „classic“ soy sauce was so sweet almost tasted like teriyaki, which is erm not classic and not Chinese. Again, if you want to go all out with the „Asian“ aesthetic, at least do the food properly, otherwise, don‘t

Last order is at 20:30 and don’t serve after that. Service is not welcoming and managed by non-Chinese. Food is not value for money and inaccessible to disabled although restaurant is well layout.

I almost had an orgasm from Pork and Prawn Wontons in my Noodle Soup. So delicious, recommend!

Lovely food. Daughter’s favourite place to take visitors for lunch. Lovely pork belly with fried noodles and rice rolls (use soy sauce). Recommend.

Me and my partner came here as a little late anniversary treat and it was great. Every was so reasonable priced and felt good value for money. We had 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts - all were fantastic. Will definitely be coming back here again 😀

Ramen three meats worth every penny . Sweet n sour chicken 2/3 worth it. Gyoza not worth 6£ sorry 🤖. Cocktails are interesting . Feels like a film for once. It’s worth watching but you won’t rewatch it. This is my feeling about Yum cha. 🤲

Last week we had a strange experience. The attitude of the staff was so poor that I couldn’t believe it! We have been eating here many times before. So, we arrived and asked for a table. There was 4 of us. The staff turns us down and say there are no tables available. Scanning across the restaurant, there was a free table, and we asked “isn’t that table free”. The staff says “ no, as we are going to save it for bigger groups”. And I’m like “is the table booked by anyone?” They replied “no”. At this point I really don’t understand. There was a table that is completely available, but they won’t let a group of 4 to occupy it. Fair enough it could probably seated 6, but that isn’t the right way to refuse customer. They didn’t even offer us to queue for another table and said it was their policy. Basically they just told us to go because we are a small group. What kind of policy is that??? Customers should not be treated like this. I want this message to go to the top tier of management to give me a response to this behaviour.

Excellent venue - very good value. Wide selection of dishes available, and a decent amount of "simple" ones too; for folks whose pallette may not be so adventurous. Big Bowls of grub available, or you have a meal consisting of nothing but Dim Sum. Heartily recommended.

Delicious food, excellent service, convenient location, for a good price. I needed something quick and tasty before I went clubbing - this place hit the spot perfectly.

We went to mainly eat a bunch of dim sum, but most of us left feeling pretty unimpressed. Luckily it wasn’t overly expensive but I doubt any of us would go back. Definitely worth sticking with the much better options in China town.

Terrible customer service. We have been here many times with my little boy as he likes to come to eat here with my family. We asked for a table of 4 and was told there was no tables available. We could clearly see that there was a table free but the man told us that the table is only to be used incase they have a bigger party turn up. Fair enough if the table was booked or reserved for a party but it wasn’t. You turn away a regular customers to hope that you might get a bigger party turn up. Clearly you guy’s don’t know how to run a business. Your staff do a very good job to drive your customers away. We certainly won’t be coming back to dine with you again.

You wouldn’t know it from the outside but this hidden gem contains some of the best Dim Sum and Asian food in Manchester. I was initially sceptical but the food was delicious. Don’t be put off by the appearance outside - it has a slightly ‘edgy’ modern feel to it with some rather garish neon signs but the food more than makes up for it. We definitely over ordered so err on the side of caution but we will definitely be returning to try more! Highly recommended.

Very slow service, bordering on terrible. Food is okay. Some things tasty but most a bit meh. Dumpling wrappers too thick and stodgy. Not a patch on anything in Chinatown.

We had dinner here, we ordered the following: - Crispy pork belly It was delicious, but the crispy part wasn't crispy enough tho. it's very meaty, suitable for the meat lover like me. - Sichuan dan dan noodles The flavor didn't taste like the dan dan noodles I've had from a lot of places and in Asia. The whole dish was good, but I think the sesame paste was too overpowered, and too much peanut crumbs, not much minced meat (or just too much peanut that I couldn't taste much meat). It taste more like "sesame paste noodles" than "Sichuan dan dan noodles". The flavor wasn't what I expected tho, a bit disappointed. - Beef ho fun noodles We've ordered this dish many times from deliveroo, and we finally visited the place and had it. Great as usual, nice wok flavour, tender and tasty beef. Still our all time favourite. Overall the dishes were good, great atmosphere, would definitely visit again to try other foods.

Honestly, I have visited so many places in many places in Manchester but by far the best Chinese food I have had is at Yum cha. Well, working in hospitality management there is one thing I well say is that Negha our server was exceptionally professional and sooo sweet. The staff is so amazing and lovely. Negha is a super star and I hope such service is provided everywhere.

Popped in midweek for dinner on my own due to working in the area. Bit of a wait for a table but no dramas. Then a bit of a wait to be served. Extensive menu i went for the grilled chicken satay with fried rice and side order of salt and pepper fries and a pint of coke. The satay arrived quickly but i was left to wait quite some time for my fries, if id wanted my food to arrive at random times i would have gone to waggamamas. When all the food was together it was spot on, fresh, tasty and a huge portion i left feeling stuffed. Again quite a wait to get the bill when i asked. Overall the food was a solid 5/5 Service 4/5

Awesome place with really good food and really nice staff, we had the beef ho fan with some crispy pork belly and it was fresh, well made and tasted amazing. Staff are really kind would recommend for anyone after some good Asian cuisine.

It was a lovely experience generally. The ambience and service was great. Regarding the menu, I'll say it's affordable. We were a guest of four and spent £58.

Everytime I come to Manchester this always come here for the ramen noodle soup worth every penny

The dim sum only so-so. The bbq pork bao and cheung fun were disappointing. The skin too thick, not like HK dim sum at all. The rice and noodles taste better than the dim sum.

Stopped for lunch on a trip to Manchester, food was amazing and so reasonable considering the huge portions. Had the noodle soup with duck and pork prawn wontons. They don't skimp on the meat! Friendly service and nice views overlooking the river.

Great food which came fast, big portions, the person who brought the food out was a bit dull though. Quite cold at the back near the balcony doors, not sure why one was open. The baby ribs weren’t our thing but the Chilli Wontons and Char Siu firecracker were amazing, got the firecracker with salt and pepper fries 🤤 Total came to just under £50 for two with a drink and starter each

Got a veggie ramen, noodles were undercooked , the dumplings were soggy and fell apart in the broth. it was edible but definitely not worth £11.50. My sister got the chicken katsu and the sauce was lovely but it came with no veggies and was a bit bland. overpriced for what it is but the spring rolls were banging i’ll give them that

The food came out at all different times. The only good things were the portions but what’s the point when you don’t wanna eat. If you want food that tastes damp and wet dog then yum cha is the place to go🤢🤢🤢

Had a fantastic meal here the other evening. Food was fantastic, fresh, came out when it was ready instead of a classic starter then main, which absolutely works in this place and the main point is that it tasted Amazing! Portions are very generous so be aware if you feel like you need alot of dishes, we certainly got caught out 😂 Staff were friendly and very accommodating throughout our stay.

Needed a bite to eat on the fly between functions - this certainly satisfied the hunger... busy Sat night waiting no longer than 5min for a table... served within 60 sec... meals within 10min and service was friendly... food came out a little cool but warm... would have liked hotter but still delicious...

The atmosphere was lovely. The waitress Jeané recommended some good halal and vegetarian dishes. The food was lovely altogether. Definitely recommend the thi basil tofu.

After ordering a vegan meal, I feel tricked into eating a sweet containing pork gelatine, presented with the bill. Not very happy about that. Otherwise average food averagely priced.

Terrible. I ate here with my wife on Wednesday and have suffered from food poisoning. Some of the food tasted Ok, but overall it was really poor. Hygiene standards appeared to be lacking throughout. The tables and bar area were dirty and service was bang average at best. No one checked up on us, or asked how the food was and service was generally slow. The ‘chicken’ in the chicken satay tasted like reconstituted meat. Definitely not fresh chicken. The bao buns were easily the worst we’ve ever eaten (and that includes a shocking experience in Manila airport!), tasteless, terribly cheap meat. I would seriously recommend avoiding this place. They may have been having a bad night but it was shocking all round.

Quite cramped space, especially if you are to order multiple small dishes alongside your mains. Would be better in booth or a double table. Service was attentive, albeit some of orders was incorrect or was forgotten to be put through. The food itself was okay, deserts were nice, the dim sim range was good too.

Had a great time with friends, Mariam was a great hostess and looked after us throughout the evening! Food was lovely, will definitely be returning!

I ordered chicken satay with fried rice, traffic light dumplings, noodles soup, all were delicious. The portions are good for the price. The location is great tucked in a corner of Kampus opposite Canal Street. The service has room for improvement, servers could smile more.

Had an amazing evening with friends here. Food was amazing, I had the salt and pepper tofu with curry sauce; this was soo tasty I can’t wait to come back. Great options for vegans! Highly recommended.

7/10 Great portion size and great value! Left on a full stomach, would definitely visit again if I’m in Manchester. There’s definitely a dish for everyone as there is a great variety. Staff were very friendly and food was quick. Busy all the time so if you have a large group, definitely book beforehand. I went with 1 friend so we were able to do a walk in.

Went here specifically for the dim sum but will go again to try different items as the big plates looked amazing. It's really good value and everything we had was delicious. The decor is super cool and where we had been sitting was super comfortable. It was really full when we went but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. If you're in the area I would pop in for a bite to eat and a cocktail as they have a really good selection of drinks.

I came in here the other week with my friend and her mum as we were visiting the city for a day trip. The staff were so nice and friendly and the atmosphere was nice too. It wasn't very busy when we arrived so we got a table straight away and ordered after 5 minutes. I opted for the king prawn firecracker as I'm a big spice lover, and I have to say it was one of the hottest dishes I've ever tasted - spice lovers be warned, it will be a challenge! The prices were quite reasonable too and if I was in the city again I would definitely want to come back in.

me and my partner ordered: pulled pork belly and rice with bbq sauce, beef massaman curry with egg fried rice, bbq bao. And was honestly the best chinese food we’ve eaten, definitely recommend to anybody who likes their chinese food. Was very busy and staff were really lovely and welcoming! Definitely will come again.

Came here when they were celebrating their first birthday, and we managed to see an exciting Lion Dance and eat a slice of cake! We are the Chicken Katsu Curry and Salt & Pepper Chicken with fried noodles. The flavors were amazing and the portion sizes were very filling. Definitely would recommend to others and return again!

The place and staff were great, food was a bit bare if you wanted the Dim Sum experience as some classics weren’t on the menu. Large range of foods but if you were looking for a full Yum Cha this ain’t it. Great for general Asian dishes. That said only have a sample number of one.

Un bon restaurant, bons prix et bons service... mais une cuisine plutôt fusion. Pas beaucoup de légumes ou de ciboulettes dans les pâtes et les xiaolongbao commandés n'étaient clairement pas des dimsums frais... Un comble quand le restaurant s'appelle Yumcha (donc restaurant qui sert des dimsums). Coin branché et joli cadre, une cusine honnête mais je n'irai pas pour rechercher de l'authenticité.

My favourite restaurant and my go too whenever in the area. Food is always fresh and hot. The menu is wonderful and so many things to pick from. The Cha Sui is to die for and the pork belly is the best I’ve ever had. If you’re ever around The Village/Kampus make sure you check them out. Suggestion however if the suns out please let customers sit outside even if it’s quiet. ❤️

Pretty good food at a very affordable price.

I have no complaints about the quality of the service, which was above average, as is the decor and cleanliness. The Dim Sum, however, was very low quality, it tasted like the frozen stuff you cook at home and poorly cooked at that. I'm a big fan of Dim Sum, and I think this was the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. You'd get better tasting food at any randomly chosen Dim Sum place in Chinatown. I've got no malice towards this place but, sadly, the food I had was simply not very good.

LOVED my first visit here, great value for good size portions of very tasty food. Great veggie options, especially the tofu basil and cashew dish, so generous with ingredients.

Hidden gem. I had katsu chicken Fries which were delicious and char Sui pork bao buns, I was expecting there to just be one but there were 3 and they were great and had lots of filling. Staff very attentive and helpful, would definitely go again.
