This new owner is unwelcoming, unprofessional and cold. That's pity, the previous owners were better. You should be able to treat your customers with respect, especially women !
Also the excessive cartilage in chicken shawarma makes the experience very unpleasant. The quality and service has changed, and not for the best.
I won't come again.

Really enjoyed my Suya and fried plantain takeaway on a Saturday. The place was full of people talking and laughing. Afrobeat playing. The chef was very friendly and very professional. The waitress was polite and friendly. I had a glass of wine while waiting for my food. Friendly atmosphere. The best part was how great the food tasted 😋. Absolutely divine. The plantain and meat portions were very generous. The chef asked me how hot I wanted my meat to be seasoned and it was spot on. I also really like the chili sauce - delicious.
Will definitely come back to try more of the menu with friends.
Can’t recommend QPlus Tropical Restaurant enough. Go and try it out then come and share your experience.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Absolutely love this place, nice friendly pub, great bar staff and a friendly atmosphere with some great ales. I always go in here when in manchester!!
As a Muslim, I felt completely unwelcome here. The staff were rude, and the chef was openly disrespectful. We left before even placing an order. Would not recommend to anyone who values basic respect
Absolutely love this place, Will definitely be coming back. Angel who was serving is an excellent host. And the owner definitely wants to keep superb staff like this.
Food was hot and very nice only thing I have an issue with is that for nearly £20 I expected something a bit bigger than what I got! Other than that it was tasty
We visited this cosy Vietnamese restaurant in Manchester last weekend and sampled their signature dishes plus fab drinks.
We tried the following:
》Premium Pho with Beef, Chicken, Viet pork sausage & boiled egg
》BBQ Pork with rice and fresh veggies
》Summer Rolls with Prawn and Pork
》Spice me up Sling | Apple juice, Mint, Coriander, Lemonade, Chilli
》Lychee Virgin Hollis | Guava, Watermelon, Lychee, Lime
The various meat (Beef, Chicken, Vietnamese pork sausage) and veggies on the Premium Pho really hit the spot plus the noodles weren't soggy at all. The charred Bbq pork was perfectly seasoned, complimented by the veggies on the side and the dipping sauce which cuts thru the oiliness of the dish. The freshness of the summer rolls with prawn and pork was quite lovely too.
We had first dibs on 2 of their carefully concocted mocktails and they were mega - Please put them on the menu asap! We absolutely enjoyed these eye candies which had fresh, balanced flavours and so unique.
They just relaunched March of this year and offers a vibrant mix of classic & innovative creations, do check them out.

On my second visit to Nam, I once again had an exceptionally pleasant experience. The beef pho is a heartwarming, especially on chilly days, and is a must-try for everyone. The consistency in the quality of other dishes is also great. During my first visit, I enjoyed the crispy fried calamari (though I missed taking a photo). The pork belly buns are equally amazing. However, Nam’s chicken wings are my personal favorite. Frankly, I’m not sure as to why this place isn’t more popular, especially when compared to another Vietnamese restaurant in Ancoats. In my opinion, Nam offers far better food and service.
