Cali's Cafe in Manchester

Definitely my go to cafe whenever I’m in the city centre, great staff and great food at a good price!

10/10 service!! Food was lovely!! Couldn’t ask for more really. 100% reccomend for a quick meal and speedy and smiley service 👍🏼🤍

The service was fantastic. Quick and kind service. The food was amazing and had a wide spred of delicious items. For a good price, and the portions were big and we got full fast so we took the rest as doggybag and it taste good afterwards too. The seats were comfy and the interior too. Recommended. Would come back again!

Lovely breakfast very nice indeed, been searching around town for a good breakfast spot to stop off before work and been to a few rubbish ones. Just a good English breakfast style cafe and have some good lunch options also. Would recommend 100%

Excellent food & service. Good vibes with groovy background music. A hidden gem, just across the way from the busy Northern Quarter.

Visited on a Sunday around 2pm. Very quiet so suited us as we needed to feed a fractious toddler. Menus are clear and priced. Didn't have to wait long for our order. Food was hot and delicious. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Toilet clean. Only downside was no baby changing facility. But again staff were helpful. Given 5 stars as it deserves 5 stars.

Orderd a bacon blk pudding and hash brown barm with a lucozade £9 which I thought was expensive at first until she brought the food out barm was packed and really enjoyed it , bacon is usually hit and miss from other cafes but this was really nice

Staff are so friendly! Never been in before and only popped in to grab a coffee, but the guy that served me was super lovely and chatty, just what I needed after a boring morning at work!

I love this place, very welcoming, delicious food, and now there is also a girl who speaks Portuguese who is very good at communication, and has some things like cheese bread .5 stars

The best English breakfast I’ve ever had we all fully enjoyed our food the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble would highly recommend 👍

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL I ordered from this place via Deliveroo and I’ve never experienced a restaurant do as bad of a job as this place did. The receipt I got attached to my order is correct however hoping opening the bag I discovered half of my order was missing. 3 items just were not there at all and the customised breakfast I ordered only had half the amount of things I asked them to include and the things they did decide to send me from the custom breakfast was stone cold and had 2 hairs in so I did not eat it. In the whole they are really good at making hot drinks so if you are looking for a place to get a hot drink then this is the place but if you are wanting to order food I strongly recommend you do not consider this place at all as I am confused how they have been allowed to open as a restaurant in the first place if they are unable to get orders correct or even cook food that’s safe for comsumption. I have attached photos of what I ordered compared to what I received. I went through deliveroos complaints team and got a refund in everything bar my latte and espresso.

The cafe is a great place for a brew and a chat. Staff are attentive and courteous. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

I ordered a vegan breakfast from here off of Uber eats and unfortunately it was not what I was told it would be i was told I would get hummus,falafel, spinach , avocados , beans , toast, tomatoes and more . Instead I got some sort of egg alternative in which was repulsive , shredded bacon, sausages and hash browns . I got an Uber refund but not a new order . I tried the bacon thinking it was all a vegan alternative because of the egg clearly beinf alternative but I’m not even certain that the sausage or the bacon were actually vegan !! I’m pretty disgusted with what I got and can ensure that I will never be making an order from this place again . Couldn’t even stomach the bits that were vegan because I felt so ill with the idea that I ate meat thinking it was an alternative ! The amount I got was not worth the money either . There was a vegetarian breakfast I got for my mum which was rubbish quality for £13 . I never usually leave reviews but I’m pretty annoyed at what I got .

Just ordered from here for delivery for the first time. I can say without any reservation it will be the first of many. Jacket potato with tuna mayo and cheese. I didn't want the cheese but HAD to choose 2 filings (hint add none as an option), however it was a game changer. It came with a side salad with a delicious salad dressing that absolutely made the meal. We'll done a very well deserved 5 ⭐️

Rubbish quality ingredients and somehow get your order wrong when surely breakfast is the easiest thing to get right. 27 quid to feed 2 people when there’s PKB just down the road which serve proper quality food. Would have been better off going to shop and cooking myself

15£ for an almost empty tray. The most disappointing "full English" breakfast I had in a really long time. Worth 5£ at the most. And then while trying to eat this cold breakfast found plastic piece in my hummus tub.

If you want to wait 15 minutes for a half cooked jacket potato squashed into metal takeaway container covered in grease then I recommend this place.

I’ve ordered a dinner today 12th march 2023 and it’s came and the beef has a long red string thing through it lucky I noticed it or I could of choked on it and there’s no phone number for me to get through to them either

Coffee is on the pot and pour yourself and add your own milk. Great choice of food cooked how you like it. We always meet up ar Cali's cafe

Pleasantly surprised. After reading other reviews I was a bit apprehensive but as my photo shows decent breakfast still hot and tasty. Bacon rind was large and fatty needed crimping a bit and if you could separate the toast slightly soft due to steam in container well worth another order

Stopped in a nearby hotel and Needed breakfast before getting the train. Though we’d give this place a go rather than a usual wetherspoons. After having the breakfast we wished we did go to Wetherspoons, and that’s no compliment. Nearly overcharged at the till, hot drinks in takeaway cups, cheap sausages, cold egg and overall the quality didn’t justify the price. The quantity was ok. Had better Wetherspoons brekkies and they ain’t the best by any means. Location is good and service was speedy so I’ll give them that. Independent places should do better 😐

Popped in today to pick up a coffee and a breakfast sandwich on the go. Top service, great coffee and the best avocado toast. Even got a lovely biscuit with my coffee as I waited for my food. Thanks so much :)

Having just destroyed their bacon pancake stack I can wholeheartedly recommend this cafe to anybody with tastebuds. Utterly delicious and if I could marry a pancake then that would be the pancake i would marry.

Food below average and way overpriced for the quality of ingredients. It arrive and the egg was completely cold and not just from the delivery journey was as though it had been cooked way in advance and ended up having to warm the food through once it arrive. The food was also very salty but the orange juice was the best part. Delivery also took 1hrs and 15 mins.

Thieves. Ordered just over 35£ of food off just eat. The restaurant did not call us or make any sort of contact with us we are in a hotel left room number so they could go to reception. We are Irish phone so we left basic instructions of how to change a prefix never did that either worst thing is they felt as if they had the right to mark the food as delivered as a way to secure our funds. Have contacted just eat and if that doesn’t go to plan will go to restaurant myself today and retrieve my funds that way.

Really cheap tasting, poor quality produce. The sausages, hash brown, and black pudding particularly tasted frozen and lowend. These greasy spoons have a place, but here they've marked their prices up to bring them more in line with the artisan cafés nearby, but it's all of the price and none of the quality. You'd expect, at least, that it'd be cooked properly, but no. Our poached eggs were really underdone, and much of the white was still raw. Being able to cook eggs really shouldn't be something a breakfast café is getting wrong.

Very nice food and lovely staff they were very kind to my daughter the cali's breakfast was excellent and my daughters hash browns were lovely I very much recommend this cafe 😁

The wonderful chef here is so kind and always friendly . Service is quick and the food always tastes delicious I go multiple times weekly . This week I sampled the fried chicken wrap -Amazing, the B.L.T-Delicious AND the roast on Sunday is Brilliant great portion GREAT price! Love it here 🤘🤗

Dont bother. Waited 40 minutes for a mini breakfast, turned up eventually to find out the hashbrown was still frozen in the middle. Bags of food leaving the cafe but they must have forgot about the customers inside.

After a night out in Manchester last night we needed a full English to set us up for the day ahead. We found Calis just round the corner from our apartment. The food was lovely.... Every piece of the breakfast cooked perfectly, and the girl who served us was so friendly and full of smiles. A great start to the day. I'll be back for sure.

My experience was shockingly bad,, ordered my dinner was told an hour for delivery. Then it went up another 30 mins, then was cancelled, no explanation, I'm not a happy camper to say the least, I'm now going for 8hrs with no food. Will never use this restaurant again or the app just eat.

Ordered through Just Eat, came slightly earlier than expected but thats where the positive review ends. Several colleagues ordered different types of burger and fries. All fries were under cooked. Both chicken and beef burgers were tasteless. Hardly any salad or sauce on any of them. 2 were missing their bacon and mustard, which had cost more. Won't be ordering from here again.

Well located, with a nice interior to sit in while I waited for my food to takeaway, £4 lunchtime menu was well priced and food was well portioned and delicious, will definitely be coming back!

I have order many times from Calis, the food has been excellent every time.

I had the vegetarian breakfast and the vegetarian sausage was some of the best I've ever had. The service is also topnotch. Totally recommend.
