A group of us had reserved a table here for a busy euro quarter-finals day and we had a wonderful time. I had to lay out £40 as a deposit but this is knocked off your drinks when you arrive and it worked really well. We asked for a particular table in a booth and this had been saved for us by the manager. He looked after us particularly well and booking prove to be a great idea. It was really quiet when we first arrived at 1:30 but by kickoff time there wasn't a place to be out. They serve an excellent range of drinks at city centre prices and they have some unusual beers as well. Even though it was packed we got served quickly and easily and had a very enjoyable time indeed. Highly recommended if you want a sporting day.

I can’t say enough about the poor attitude of the door staff at this establishment Questions should be asked about their suitability to represent the Directors Box owners Poor attitude, making up rules & personal appearance all need to be addressed - they are a disgrace to the Establishment & the security industry

A great find from my husband for our weekend away in Manchester. Our food was lovely and this was a lovely place for a few pints. Great atmosphere, fully recommend to all! Thanks so much.

Went with a group of 11 friends for a bottomless brunch. We were greeted like royalty with specailly made cocktails and jugs of beer! Service was outstanding. The manager and his colleague went out of their way to make sure we were looked after and had a great 2 hours. Food was also excellent and would not hesistate to return.

The bar staff and manager were really rude. One of the bar staff swore at me when I asked them to change my drink which they got wrong. The manager did not apologise and told me to get over it. Terrible attitude from the staff

Had to ask the staff three times where our food was over 1.5h, and got told that she would check with the kitchen. The food was decent when we got it, bit definitely not worth the wait.

People sat around on tables for 6 with only water to drink. Couldn’t get a table - was willing to spend evening there eating and drinking. Barmen laughed at me when asked if a table could be made free.

Amazing experience, drinks were gorgeous and the staff were phenomenal! Would definitely come again for a special occasion!

We were in Manchester for a couple of days for a concert, and came upon this bar we were looking to watch the Scottish Cup semi final, alas on the same day as the Manchester utd semi final 😂 I believe it could have been the manager got it on one of the tvs for us so we could watch it We had a great time with the man u fans, fantastic drinks and atmosphere Thankyou was appreciated

We went here as it was recommended by a friend. Great atmosphere and very well priced. Good selection of drinks. The food options were good as we all found it difficult to just choose one! The food was well cooked and delicious. Not expensive. The toilet area was clean and well lit.

Guys at the entrance very friendly and kind. Inside, after ordering two beers standing, we found a seat. We tried to order something to eat but were told we had to wait over an hour (it was 5.50pm and they didn't ask us what we wanted to order; it was just fries).

We had a wonderful host named Reece, whose customer service and hosting skills are 100% appreciated, from making sure we are having a joyful night, enjoying the night and the drinks on offer. Cannot thank him enough for the service he provided tonigh. A credit to your company and pass on our thanks for a great experience.

Excellent bottomless brunch on a Saturday! We arrived 20 mins late, and pre-called to say we would be as we had trouble with taxis and the venue was super accommodating. We arrived with a bottle of Prosecco already waiting on the able and Joe our server was excellent and served us throughout our booking. He was very attentive with taking our food order and then with drinks orders. Even coming over before we finished our pre-existing drinks. So we could order and be served our next ones as we finished the first. Could not recommend anywhere better. Value, quality and service is/was top notch. Nice one Joe & ‘the directors box’

Have the sports on with the volume. Nice seating. Good pints. The place is very clean including the toilets. Staff are very efficient fast at serving and clear the plates

I booked a bottomless brunch for my birthday and I'm so glad I did. As soon as we got there it was a nice and friendly atmosphere. The security at the door were friendly and welcoming. We went in and the guy who was serving us showed us to us seats then told us how everything works with the bortomless brunch. We still had a few others to wait for so he brought us a bottle of prosecco over while we waited and then more when others were there. As soon as everyone arrived our drinks order was taken and food was brought out. The food was lovely and the drinks just kept coming. There was a few different staff members who came over to our table which made the service very quick and they were all very friendly, including the guy from the kitchen too. Overall, the night was brilliant, and I would highly recommend booking. Was a lovely birthday treat. Thank you to all staff in there.

Really good atmosphere! Great food, drinks and beer and really nice staff! If you want to watch Premier League matches, get there early. It gets packed quickly, and that’s a good thing. 8 screens, you’ll have at least one screen to look at. From everywhere.

The awful manager robin is a fool he’s got a bad attitude he thinks he’s safe as he was talking to any employee of stonegate, he stated he’s got better things to be doing than sorting out a refund for an order no longer wanted lol like what? that’s your job you fool serving people, he wants to watch himself from now on as you never know someone might just wait for him to finish his shift one night & do him in.

Will mark this 5 stars purely down to the service, excellent service by the team who despite being busy was able to ensure me and my friends were fed and constantly watered during the bottomless brunch. I believe the person who served us was Neil (from memory) and he was brilliant. Thank you

We had bottomless brunch. From the moment we arrived, Robin took amazing care of us. Complimentary drinks, more drinks, shots, more drinks, food, etc. he was so quick to get us drinks and would order more drinks for us while we havent even started the ones on the table. So many prosecco bottles too. He was very sweet and nice. Best bottomless experience and I wish everyone would learn from Robin.

Went in with some friends to watch the match. Order a round in and was changed double. Let bar staff know who told me it would be put back into my bank. I said they can just bring me the additional round out as I had paid for it, they said they can't do that. Before I left I told them again I'd been charged twice for the round and can see it's cleared in my bank. Staff told me again it would be put back in. Obviously it never was refunded. Tried to call about it, no answer, emailed about it, no response.

I remember this pub many years okay The Crown new owners kept the lovely personality friendly thank you Kat and Emily for a lovely evening my friend and I will be back god bless you both

Works outing for Xmas last night…. Supper Club with upgrade - what can I say!!!! Fabulous service, wonderful staff, great food and endless drinks. The staff could not do enough and totally looked after the two not drinking, bringing fantastic alcohol free alternatives … cannot praise this enough

Fab little sports bar the bar staff and chefs were amazing and couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend. Definitely will be coming back.

Came in on Friday after having a conversation with Joe; who popped into my building the previous week to talk to my team about an event he was running at the directors box. Thought I'd drop by and see how it was; ended up staying all night and a lovely bonus that I won one of the prizes! Hope they continue to do more events like this!

Popped in to watch the Leeds v Leicester game last week and was pleasantly surprised to see that they were doing a Magic Rock event (love their beer). Was really fun and interactive, hope they continue doing stuff like this

Some friends and I came in for a few drinks last Friday and took part in a craft beer event going on, the challenges were so fun and I even managed to win one which never happens! The guy running it was super confident and handsome and we’ll defo be coming back for their next event!

Fantastic service from Robyn the manger. Great value for money for the bottomless brunch whilst we were watching a dull United vs Fulham game. Table service the whole time. Well looked after would definitely come back.

I came in earlier to watch the city, Man united game with my sister and my little dog Rio ,The man on the door was the nicest politest person I ever met and was so helpful, as well as the lady who was on the door too, She brought my dog water and dog treats, and the man helped me out with the dog buggy, Please Thank them for me again absolute stars, Also great pub, great atmosphere, and very clean, Will return .

Directors box is very good. Also very busy in the days when there are lots of sport going on, if you don't book in advance, the chances are you are not going to get into the place after 4pm. Also, it's a sports bar with loads of TVs showing different sports which is great, but if you wear your own teams colours that you support, they turf you out at 6pm as they have a rule. Crazy rule for a sports bar.

Great bar to watch the match in. Good selection of alcohol and food menu to keep you going through a double header.

We came here to celebrate my daughters birthday and had the bottomless brunch. It was amazing value, the food was lovely and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Joe our server was fantastic and never let us run out of drinks. I 100% would recommend.

My go to pub in Manchester now. I have to be gluten free and the staff are always really helpful, they have a great Selected of gluten free beers and a gluten free menu too. Great for watching Sport in as well!

Went for live sport, hadn’t eaten, didn’t expect much at a sport bar but it was well better than expected. Crowd pleaser is really just that something for everyone to enjoy, the staff were efficient but not in our face and kept the table clear of clutter during the match without disturbing us, the football crowd were buzzing and we had a great time. Recommend if you live in city and wanna watch a game with a safe but lively atmosphere.

We been there for lunch on a non football match day so it was not busy. As a result we were served quickly. The food was nice and in big portions.A great variety of beer options. A lot of screens broadcasting sports.

Came here for the new menu, fire and passion was so good! The inferno sauce blew my head off but definitely still tasty though - great atmosphere for a thursday.

Came for a bottomless brunch, food and drinks were amazing, our server Robbie was amazing and did not stop! Drinks were fast and Robbie was always asking if we needed anymore. 100% recommend

If you want to watch F1 as advertised don’t bother. Even if there is huge gaps in the football they would rather play music.

Advertises and Formula 1, but if there is any other sport on that will be prioritised. No commentary so I suggest If you want to watch it, find somewhere else or watch it at home

Great selection of food and beer as well as a great atmosphere and service. The pool table is great for visits with friends while TV’s provide entertainment for those going solo.

We had the bottomless brunch and it was the best one we have ever had! Robbie and Robin were fabulous hosts and really made us feel welcome - the drinks did not stop coming! Really good value and the food was delicious too!

I just came to visit Manchester.i whas sitting to the table and i whas whaiting for someone to take the order for us but after a lot of time whaiting nobody came. I whas going to the bar to order and ask for a salad from the menu and they don’t have.the atmosphere its very nice .but unfortunately the serving and the meniu whit mising items its not good.

Me and my boyfriend went last Friday for the Crafternoon tea and it was amazing! The staff were really friendly and welcoming and made sure our drinks were always topped up. They brought out 6 taster craft beers to start so we could decide which...

Food was great. At first glance I wouldn't expect food to be as good as it actually was. Definitely recommend the tacos. Service was great too, the staff were friendly and bossing it. Beer/Cider selction was abit standard/basic but prices were good so can't complain. House wine was great though!

Staff were really friendly and enthusiastic about the variety of beers on tap. 2 x quality gluten free options was a great bonus for my coeliac wife too. We had a group of kids with us, which wasn't an issue (some bars in Manchester wouldn't be so welcoming) and the mountain of chips we ate were delicious. Will certainly be returning for pool and pints (and spirite) soon.

We booked a table for food and drinks on Sunday 30th April 2023 to watch the football on one of many tv screens and we were warmly welcomed by bar staff member Robin. He remembered me from last time we were there which meant a lot. The food was great and drinks (cocktails) were made to perfection by 2 lovely and polite bar staff members Hanna & Nickole. They looked after us all night and nothing was ever a problem. The DJ (DJ Charlie North West UK) was playing his 1st night at this bar and a big well done to him, he didn't disappoint. As we travelled from Northern Ireland he continued to give us a shout out throughout the evening. We have to say we had a great night even though we didn't plan to stay to late we end up staying till closing time. Its fair to say everyone in the bar had a great night as we all sang and danced together. Thanks for a great time and I look forward to enjoying many great nights in the future.

£17 for 2 pints and a diet coke.... I didn't even pay that much when I lived in London. Never again.
