They served me eggs royale with Smoked salmon that has gone bad, the smell was off and the taste was off, my partner confirmed it as well. When I told the waitress they said that it was fine and they just got it today, they didn't want to admit it, but why would I make that up? I didn't even ask for a refund. Never going back again to a restaurant that literally serves you food poisoning on a plate and on top of that the staff are rude.

The beans were stone cold the mushroom also , the hole breakfast was lukewarm , I've been here a few times the kitten breakfast is great , but send back if cold , this seems to be a trend eating out at the moment you don't get your food hot

Good cheap food in central Manchester.

Katsouris Deli has in the past been one of my go-to spots, especially for a late lunch. I've previously enjoyed their sandwiches, salad bowls, and hot food without any issues. However, my recent visit on 21st August 2024, around 2:55 pm, was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, I decided to treat myself to some hot food, opting for the roast pork and rice. I understand that it was mid-afternoon, but I was surprised to find the hot plates looking quite unkempt and unappetising. Additionally, the salad bar appeared disorganised, with different salads and foods mixed together, possibly due to spills from previous customers. This raised concerns about food hygiene, as cross-contamination seemed likely. The staff, unfortunately, didn’t seem particularly attentive, which added to my unease. Despite these red flags, I decided to proceed with my purchase, relying on my past positive experiences with the deli. I ate my meal in the car and then set off home at 3:30 pm. Regrettably, the meal was not up to the usual standard. The pork lacked flavour, and the rice seemed stale, as if it had not been freshly cooked that day. By 6:30 pm, I started feeling extremely unwell and began vomiting, which continued throughout the night and into the late morning of the next day. Given that I hadn’t eaten anything else all day, I’m concerned that my illness may have been caused by the food I consumed from Katsouris. The experience has left me feeling deeply disappointed and quite unwell for 4 days. I sincerely hope that the management at Katsouris Deli takes this feedback seriously and reviews their practices to ensure that food health and safety standards are met consistently. As much as I’ve enjoyed this deli in the past, I can no longer recommend it to others based on this experience, and I will not be returning. This has been a truly unfortunate and debilitating experience.

Excellent variety of foods & nice friendly & helpful staff would highly recommend

Food was nice, got a special wrap. Menu says it’s served with side salad but just got the wrap. When I asked the server said the salad was in the wrap, which isn’t really on the side. Disappointed with the amount of food for the price.

Went in for a mid morning breakfast and I was served by a friendly lady. I ordered an omelette with chips and unfortunately it was not nice at all. The omelette tasted like plastic and the chips were too hard, although the seasoning on them was lovely. The only nice parts were the toast and cup of tea. I was the only customer when placing my order so food arrived within 10 minutes. However the place soon filled up but again, there didn't seem to be a big wait. Will not be returning. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Toilet inside. Takeout options Side note - I asked for some tap water and they wouldn't give me any. They said they do not give customers water due to cross contamination? Very strange

£5, rip off. 1 sausage and 2 rashers of bacon.

I went there because I saw in google that they have Italian sausages and I wanted to buy some for a barbecue. Well the don’t have and they use the sausages just for sandwiches. They let me buy just sausages after a difficult conversation, but for 2.5£ each! I think it is a bit too expensive. Anyway the description DELI means that you can buy fresh food too like cheeses, cured meat, meat, bread…. And not just cookies and canned food. They should change the description as they are a Greek breakfast bar where you can buy some dry store products.

Follows the Greek tradition of huge heaps of delicious food. Spicy rice and chicken is a calorific delight! "half" sandwiches are huge. Love the vibe, there road workers and CEO's shoulder to shoulder. Tempted to try the whole menu

Food is absolutely gorgeous, best staff and gorgeous decor 100% recommend

Ive been using Katsouris for breakfast for years and always had good service but in the last 18 months the service has really declined. I am now usually waiting twice as long for my food and when it does finally arrive it is quite often cold. This could be down to new owners/management and the very high turnover of staff which has been noticed in recent months. I will be using alternative venue's for breakfast from now on until things improve.

I visited the deli to have a quick lunch. There were lots of healthy options. I chose the roast turkey with rice and a side salad. It was delicious.

Was told that the “tap wasn’t working” in a perfectly fine running kitchen and told I couldn’t get a glass of water and had to pay £1.40 instead for bottled water, even though free water is a legal requirement.

Across the road from where we were stay. Great selection of breakfast meals, sandwiches, paninis etc. Very well priced. Quickly made. Definitely be back

Amazing food and pastries, I love the homemade flapjacks and chocolate brownies; nevertheless, for lunch time chicken paella is the go to meal. Best place to eat in Manchester Deansgate if you are looking for a filling meal.

Rat dropping found around the store, tables never clean, food is stale and not worth the money would not go again. Service is incredibly slow. If you’re looking for a nice quite place to enjoy you’re food I’d look elsewhere their boss or manager unsure of how this person is associate with the store he is always screaming and running around the restaurant I feel bad for the staff as often he would be screaming at them for no reason.

I visited this morning as I have been coming for a few years the food was never on point but I wanted to give it a last chance to redeem its self. However, after ordering and waiting for 15 minutes I saw a rat running from the salad bar and into the kitchen at that moment I picked up my stuff and left immediately there was no way I was going to eat the food I ordered. I cannot believe this store is still open after what I saw today there definitely needs to be an inspection I’m going to have to report this. Definitely not worth the money I’d rather spend it somewhere more expensive if it means my food is clean and hygienic.

Three engineers ate here 2 days on the bounce as we were restricted on alternative restaurant options. X2 of us are somewhat plant based and one was a full carnivore. Food is of good quality, poor vegetarian dishes due to the amount you get in comparison to the meat dishes. The pricing does not reflect the significantly smaller portions, priced identically to the meat breakfast. We were left peckish after unfortunately and the meal was just shy of £10. The restaurant is clean and the fast service was very good so I couldn't fault their service. There was also a good selection of condiments! The staff could smile and be more friendly. The temperature was just as cold as the welcome, the 2 degree ambient temperature was uncomfortable to enjoy our meals. Couldn't wait to leave to get warm somewhere else. Coats, hats and gloves left on Would recommend if you want quality food though and are not bothered about the above!

Everytime we vome to Manchester. This is our go to place either for breakfast or a quick bite. Fantastic value for money and the food is excellent. We have been coming here since we found it in 2014.

Katsouri's Deli provided some food for a party of 40 for HostNation, a refugee charity. They provided an abundance of food, wonderful vegetarian salads, falafels, dips, brownies, breads and so on. George at Katsouri's delivered beyond expectations, with the amount of food and the quality of it. Our guests, which consisted of refugees and asylum seekers and their friends were blown away by the supper provided. The party took place at the House of Books and Friends in Manchester, Katsouri's is one of their trusted suppliers. Excellent food, excellent value, delivered on time and exceeded expectations in terms of service. Highly recommended.

If you order a sandwich the service is pretty slow but the food is fantasic so worth the wait

The service was slow even though it wasn't busy. I had cheese on toast, which was decidedly underwhelming, and the milk I was served with my coffee was on the turn. The seating area was grubby and the staff with long hair didn't have it covered. Would definitely not recommend.

Great food, decent quantities and friendly service. I usually like to take away my food from here but we enjoyed eating in this time as it was a bit quieter and we had to hide away from the rain. Between two of us we shared the meze platter and soup.

Was a favourite of my wife and son. First time I’d been with them. Got drinks order wrong. Did correct it when questioned though. Then forgot one of the 3 dishes we’d ordered. Had to be asked twice for it. Tea cake with lashings of margarine and not butter was a bit grim. Was a favourite now will try elsewhere.

Everyone knows this place since it's been here forever so reviews won't add much - loads of well-priced food options cooked on site, takeaway or eat-in.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. Went during weekday lunch time there was quite a queue but it moved along fast. Staff were fast paced and helpful. Enjoyed the pulled pork and peri peri chicken with paella. Roasted pork was already sold out by 1pm. Impressive spread at the salad bar, will definitely return for it.

FEEDBACK. I've been coming to Katsouris for years and would rate it with 5* if were not for the fact I go for the salad and since they changed the plastic containers to cardboard they offer limited sizes and the smallest is huge. Far too much for one person. They should offer a small box for half the price. I don't want to spend what they are asking for a quantity of salad I am not going to eat. When I complained about this to a member of staff she said, just take it home with you and eat the rest tomorrow. I took the remaining home but it was all mushed up (and warm) by the time I got home and to be honest it made me feel sick so I had to throw it away. Sadly I won't be returning to Katsouris until they buy in smaller salad boxes for half the price.

We always head for this place for lunch when we are in Manchester . I had the hot lamb ciabatta (half) and if I lived here I would be there every day. So tasty and reasonably priced too. Well worth a visit

I used to walk here from the Spaces office at St Peter’s Square practically every lunchtime as it was just a few minutes down Peter Street.I would normally grab a sandwich to go, but if I had the time, would take a pew on one of the stools in the window.As I moved around the city centre working in different offices, I tended to make a beeline for Katsouris whenever possible – so if working at either the WeWork in Spinningfields, Orega on King Street, even one of the Bruntwood properties around Piccadilly, I’d make the slightly longer walk.I was predictable and would always get the prawn and egg salad sandwich. I would also often grab something from the deli, too, so there were always some delicious sun-dried tomatoes or olives in my fridge at home.Very much looking forward to it reopening this spring!

No hay problema con que esté lleno de constructores desayunando, pero incluso con pantallas el distanciamiento social es inexistente.Decir el nombre katsouris solía significar algo en enterrar y no me sorprendió cuando abrieron en deansgate. Este lugar ha ido cuesta abajo desde años anteriores.Pedí una bolsa mágica usando la aplicación two good to go y el propósito es ganar comida y ayudarlos a reducir el desperdicio.Usé un recipiente que incluso antes de llegar a casa se derrumbó y la comida terminó en mi bolsa de transporte.La comida consistió en una ensalada empapada que se acompañará de arroz tibio y una cantidad muy pequeña de carne desmenuzada.La carne estaba mal sazonada y apenas quedaba, probablemente la mayor parte salió debido al mal empaque.El hombre que lo sirvió estaba medio molesto y parecía más concentrado en darme arroz, que es uno de los productos básicos más baratos que conoce el hombre.Me quejé demasiado bien para ir y recuperé mi dinero, pero creo que una mala crítica también es válida.Casi parece que debido a que las empresas han perdido ganancias desde marzo, arruinarán al consumidor de cualquier forma posible, lo que obviamente es malo para la reputación.¡Nunca más! When I’m in Manchester I like to visit Katsouris the food I’ve had there is always great,the last time I had a small breakfast and the quality is always top notch

The food is lovely, shame the manager can’t take criticism and would rather argue with his customer rather than manage his staff effectively. Waiting 15 minute in the morning for them to make your bacon and sausage sandwich is bad enough when all the ingredients are pre cooked and just need putting on some bread. But for then the manager hold your sandwich hostage because you dared to criticise his management of staff to the point you give up and ask for your money back is a joke. I complained that they had made me late, and rather than quickly get me my food and apologise, he would rather argue with me and say I was impatient. Such a shame because the food is lovely. Just don’t head there if you have something to do within the next hour, because it will take that long for them to make your food.

Este es un encantador, sin lujos, grandes porciones de café en el corazón de Deansgate. Me sorprende que puedan ofrecer porciones tan grandes a un precio tan bajo en una ubicación privilegiada. Very very good food. Staff are great, choice is amazing and varied. Very reasonable. 4 of us had a really good meal and drink for £28. 2nd time I've been and will definitely go back next time in Manchester.

My husband and I were visiting Manchester to do some Christmas shopping. We decided to get in early 8:00 am and eat breakfast in town before hitting the shops. We chose Katdouris because it was open from 7 and looked nice. Food was good value for money and came quickly (though not many customers at that time of day). My partner and I have visited Katsouris on several occasions over the years and have always been very happy. We haven’t been in a while but after today we won’t be returning. I thought it was odd when it wasn’t packed as it often has been, needless to say we sat down and ordered eggs benedict and smoked salmon with scrambled egg on toast. The eggs benedict was the disappointing part. The parma ham was rock hard and the eggs were smeared in hollandaise sauce which tasted off. My partner could eat more than two bites. The eggs and smoked salmon were ok but on soggy toasted brown bread. The place was also quite untidy and unclean. Not pleasant

Staying at the Premier Inn Deansgate. I m sure their buffet breakfast is OK but fancied something different so did a leisurely fifteen minute walk to Katsouris. Really good value with a large full english at six quid. Lots of other choices which looked pretty good as well( including veggie breakfast). Give it a go.

Vanbuiten zag het er zeer goed uit en wij waren achteraf bekeken heel blij met ons bezoek. De gerechten worden met heerlijke producten klaargemaakt en smaken fantastisch : wij genoten van superlekkere courgette-auberginesoep en van warme ciabatta's met onder andere geitenkaas erop. Er hangt hier ook een zeer gemoedelijke sfeer.

¿Apareció para almorzar ?, ¿una variedad de alimentos as, porciones grandes ?, ¿un buen té cuppa ?, personal amable? ‍ ???. ¿Lugar limpio? Están tan ocupados con los servicios de entrega y sentarse y llevar en los apostadores ??. ¿Todas buenas señales para este negocio de larga data? Tienen una gran variedad de sándwiches recién hechos y ensaladas que preparaste. Tienen opciones vegetarianas frescas y calientes y definitivamente ninguna de las opciones kosher también? sin duda volveremos. Sugerencia para el propietario, no deje que esos platos de comida desperdiciada y las tazas se amontonen en las mesas, estaba desanimando a los nuevos clientes a sentarse y quedarse, limpiar y limpiar esas mesas más rápido y será una de las mejores charcuterías de Manchesters. Hice una parada en boxes aquí entre visitar museos y me sorprendió gratamente. No hay mucho que ver ni en el exterior ni en el interior, pero la comida es deliciosa. Muy delicioso y gratificante, pero no esperes alta cocina. Comí de la barra de ensaladas con una caja de tamaño mediano para 3 - y devoré cada bocado sabroso. Gran asado también. ¡Comida sana con un presupuesto!

Seen this place many times, from the top deck of the bus, so can see right in to,look at what people are eating, its always busy, so thats a good sign!!

Karsouris es una institución de Deansgate. Buena relación calidad-precio, comida sencilla y abundante. Si nunca ha estado antes, el diseño lo confundirá, pero simplemente entre a una de las colas y descubra lo que quiere. Vaya por la paella con albóndigas o el chisporroteo de carne. A toda costa, evita los huevos florentinos o te arrepentirás.

We have ordered large orders for work twice now and both times we have had items missing. food is always nice but someone has to now go without.

Love coming in here, such a busy place that sells well priced excellent food. 2 of us had half lamb scillian, other had full spicy chicken. Excellent portions and great value for city centre.

This place is ideal if you need to grab lunch quickly in the city centre. The selection is huge (perhaps slightly overwhelming!) and has something for everybody.

Went on a Sunday morning. Difficult to tell at first whether the place was actually open. When we went in all of the outdoor seating was lined up along the counter, making it tricky to reach over to pick up the hot drinks. Apparently there is no filter coffee on Sundays which is bizarre as it's the easiest thing to make? No ciabatta bread for my sausage sandwich so had to have it on granary. When my sandwich arrived it also had eggs on - why??? I hate eggs!!! It was a very simple request - 'sausage sandwich with brown sauce that was repeated backwards and forwards twice between myself and the cashier. I couldn't be bothered rectifying the situation as I had lost my appetite. My wife's breakfast was fine, hence the average rating rather than a lower rating. This place used to be so much better. I won't be returning. My advice would be to pay attention to what customers are ordering and spend less attention on the stream of Deliveroo drivers collecting orders for people who can't be bothered leaving their homes!

Ordered from here on Deliveroo and been in to eat several times each time has been spot on, I’m slightly boring and have ordered the same thing each time but it’s sooooo nice! A large granary barm with onions stuffing and tasty turkey! At £4 it’s a bargain! The other things look really good to and I will one day change my order! The staff are also very friendly and polite! Big thumbs up! Xxx

We planned to stop by Katsouris for the big breakfast before attending Man Utd vs. Reading - with our travelers budget we needed a cheap yet filling option, and found it at Katsouris!

I popped in on a recent trip for a takeaway sandwich and picked up a half ciabatta Greek sandwich which was delicious without question, a five star sandwich. I have given 4 stars due to the chaotic and confusing queuing, ordering and collecting process.
