Really nice food, not many vegetarian options and the place is a bit dirtier than expected

Food was just dreadful and overpriced. Honestly the Tesco fajita and those el paso enchilada kits are miles better. I can't believe I spent £39 at that place on this dreadful food. Service was decent though.

Visited for an early dinner. Food was mediocre at best and cold. Staff were rude and didn’t speak to us when being seated or bringing food over. Was a quiet time to visit so wasn’t like there were lots of customers to serve. Wouldn’t come again.

Absolutely Atrocious! We went in as a party of 3 for a 30th birthday, there was nobody else in the restaurant. We got the lunch menu and the starters took over 30mins to arrive that had been say under the heat lamp for ages. All while the 3 members of staff sat across from us Eating and having coffee. Incredibly unprofessional! Starters cleared and another 20 minutes go by and no mains. We gave up and told them we didn't want our food, the manager sat on her arse and couldn't even come over and apologise. Disgraceful service! Maybe consider hiring a completely new team!

Great menu with lots of options.

Booked for a table for 3 for my little girls birthday. 2 meals came out together my fajitas came late as the other 2 were finishing. My wraps were cold , and the waitress was unapologetic. We spoke to the manager and another waitress to did say sorry and took my meal of the bill. The food overall was very bland and lacked flavour. Very dissapointed and will not be returning.

Very nice Mexican food, good selection of food and drinks. Pretty pricey though, you'll need nearly £100 for a family of 4 to have two courses and 1 drink.

The place is fast-paced with a fast turnover of people. This, of course, is due to the location. I went on Boxing Day. The food was good. Our waitress Ava was such a breath of fresh air. I wish there was more like her. Thank you Ava.

I went with a few friends to celebrate a birthday, and the waitress oliwia was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! she greeted us straight away with a massive smile on her face and didn’t hesitate to be the most helpful friendly waitress i think ive ever met. i work as a waiter and i want lessons from her because of how amazing she was. give this girl a pay rise!!!

Pretty dire experience! The staff were friendly but the food was dry & lacked flavour with the birria quesadilla having literally no filling at all - only rescue was the jalapeño poppers.

We arrived dead on time was seated then Oliwia took our order which was wrong she put hot ribs for a 13 Yr old when asked for bbq which we had to wait for the new ones to come out after a burnt mouth we ordered £25 cocktail which she then went to take away when there was quite a bit left in the glass asked for the bill and I couldn't remember my pin and she asked was we having a good day so far I said to her so far upto now (asi couldn't remember my pin my bad) she then went upto her fellow colleague and repeated what I said in a completely different context with her head wobble it was in complete sight and my daughter saw her we did say something and she oh ok no worry but what else could she say you still proceeded to be arsy

We’d just come out from Disney on ice, we had a table pre booked. We sat down and eventually asked if we could split the bill for our table and have different cheques. The lady who was dressed as Ursula said ‘as you can see we are really busy so I won’t be doing that’ she then left us to decide what to eat, her attitude was really rude but it didn’t stop there. When she came to take our order she was snippy, wanting to do it HER way. Her attitude was completely out of order and ruined our entire experience, you could see other patrons looking at her as she went about her business in the restaurant, she looked unapproachable and angry. If I could negatively tip someone I would. The upsides were the gentleman that finished our table and took our bill, he was very pleasant and helpful as we had a baby at the table. But unfortunately our experience at the beginning seemed to overshadow what was meant to be a family event… Three stars for the food and that gentlemen’s behaviour. Negative five for whoever it was that served us in the beginning, I hope no one else’s experience was ruined by this.

Had a really bad time. Our server Nic was rude and unfriendly. Did not pay attention to us or checked in at all after being seated. Took forever to get her attention. Had to send my food back and didn’t even ask if I wanted it off the bill. Cocktails were nice. Nic made our experience bad

My sister and I went for my birthday lunch. Both of us got a worst food poisoning I had in awhile. Atleast we got home before we got sick.

Had the worst food poisoning from this place the waitress was very nice but contacted the restaurant and told them about the food poisoning and there was no help provided. Spent 115 pound in there to get the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had. And I ordered boa buns from deliveroo and had the same issue. Which are all prepared and made in the same kitchen, all 3 of us had food poisoning from this place so it’s got to be from the meal lastnight. My girlfriend also said when she walked past the kitchen it stank. Obviously need an inspection from the food inspector, really not happy after speaking to the manager very sarcastic and not helpful. Would give it a miss and won’t be coming back again. Shame because the food was nice but clearly chefs aren’t clean or cleaning their equipment.

Visited last night before the AO arena. The man who sat us down and served us was lovely, very friendly. We ordered starters and mains. We had just started our starters and our mains came. We sort of just looked and the lady asked if we would like her to take them back, yes please as I've only just started my starter?? About six minutes later they came back. I was still eating my starter others had finished. Quesidilla and platters were only warm. Obviously been sat somewhere! They weren't great either. I've visited Chiquito in Liverpool several times and it's been lovely. Also, I was going to order a glass of wine once finished but the bill came??? The whole experience was rushed!! It was also very loud and the drunk people sitting behind us were annoying!

The food was really good, arrived at a perfect temperature to dig in and was the perfect portion size. The atmosphere was a little quiet but for me that was great as then I could really enjoy the surroundings and the company. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. I have gone back multiple times and it has never failed me.

Good food, friendly staff, pleasant environment. Definitely need to come back and try the other menu items. Busy place, but not a long wait without booking. Good location to enjoy other activities as well.

We went to have dinner and were served by Nicola R, who was the sweetest. CHIQUITO is our all time favourite, amazing and fresh food.

Do not go here if you have any dietary requirements. Huge cross contamination issues! The worst dining experience I’ve ever had as a vegetarian and an anaphylaxis allergy sufferer. (Aware this review sounds made up but it’s 100% the truth!) Ordered from the allergy matrix and spoke to the staff about making sure the dishes were all allergy free and vegetarian. The garlic tortilla arrived and I picked up a slice to find two cubes of meat under the plate. Immediately took it up to the pass and spoke to the manager who said that it was just the wrong dish as it was the garlic tortilla with chorizo (this dish isn’t on the menu so the manager was lying). I got served another garlic tortilla but saw the manager picking it up and checking the base of the tortilla with his hands which made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. We also ordered the bravas potatoes which we ate, half way through eating it we found a piece of fried meat mixed in with the potatoes. Again took it up to the manager who was rude and belittling about my concerns around the safety of the kitchen due to the two cross contamination issues we’d had. This restaurant has a multitude of cross contamination issues in the kitchen. In different circumstances these events could have led to an allergic reaction which in some cases can be life threatening, please do not go here if you have any allergies or dietary requirements!
