Milkshakes are really nice. Burgers were perfect. I found the fries had too much paprika but that’s personal taste.

Refers to itself as the future of fast food yet I had to wait for my order for 25min with only 1 person ordering before me...

Absolute winner with this place! We had the breakfast wrap (served till 11am) and the hash browns. They were absolutely delicious!😍 the food is so tasty and is prepared nice and quickly. The servers were friendly and polite too. I really want to try the lunchtime menu too as it looks amazing! Can’t recommend this place enough. It’s 100% vegan / plant based so you won’t be disappointed. ☺️ it’s very reasonably priced too and the location is excellent as it’s right in the centre of Piccadilly gardens. Can’t wait to visit again!

The food here is horrible as well as the staff.

As an omnivore with a vegan partner, she wanted to try this place out and it was really really great. I honestly couldn't tell the chicken burger apart from the meat equivalent and my wrap was great. The portions are incredibly generous, we had to take most of the fries back with us! Not many points given for atmosphere because it was a very plain dining area, but it didn't affect the meal, so still 5 points overall!

I really like the faux fish fillet burger from here. It's really nice to have a vegan version of something I used to have so much from McDonald's as a child. I also recently had the truffle tater tots from here and was very impressed by the texture and flavour. I've had their breakfast muffin before as well and it's a great breakfast. The fries here are also well seasoned. I love the fact that there's a clearly vegan establishment right by Piccadilly gardens, near my office, with good quality, tasty fast food that non-vegans would equally enjoy.

Amazing consistency with food and service sad to see the one in South London permanently close but either way a successful franchise in my eyes. Big shout out to the owner and his journey which I had the pleasure of meeting in Croydon branch. Shaleeka and Nariaina are assets to your team honest service with a smile!!

Just had a really good burger here. Filling and full of flavour. Their shack fries are fabulous and a huge portion. The food was ready on time and was really hot. Great for vegans and non vegans alike.

Had some of their burgers in the past and they were always great. Today I tried the vegan “chicken wings” - WOW! Amazing taste & consistency - not had vegan wings like this. Highly highly recommend 👍

I recently discovered that Vegan Shack do Shake of the Month- this time around, it was Birthday Cake! It had a vanilla flavour, with strawberry sauce and sprinkles. Yay! The Biscoff shake is the best milkshake I've ever had 🥤 Well worth the £6. I'm making it my mission to go back and try them all.

Ordered to collect when staying nearby. While the food was good, we spent almost £50 on a takeaway meal for two, only to realise the 16oz milkshake was much smaller, and the triple stack bacon bbq burger only had two very thin patties. Called to ask about this only to be told they only do 12oz milkshakes, and the burger is meant to be double stack. They told us the info on the website is wrong “sorry and thank you for letting us know”. Extremely disappointed in what turned out to be misleadingly advertised overpriced meal.

Update June 30, 2024: Now my third visit (Manchester isn't my city) and still a gem. This last visit I had the breakfast bagel and a side of hash browns. Friendly staff, great service, menu full of comfort food. Original review: Had the stack of pancakes with bacon and syrup. I paired this with a cappuccino and both were delicious. Great value for money.

Astonishingly good vegan joint with a big variety of options outside of just burgers and chips. Got a burger, loaded fries, BBQ chicken wings. My partner got a salad and a milkshake - they were al delicious. Even the packaging is vegan - sugarcane instead of polystyrene and cans instead of bottles! Very nice, highly recommended

Visited for the first time today we got the seitan doner and the shack burger and we are pretty sure both were the best Vegan doner and burger we've ever had! We nearly went back for seconds! Thank you vegan shack! You now have two new regulars!

It was pretty good. Went on Saturday and it wasn't too hectic. I was a bit overwhelmed by the onions on the wrap I had but the meat substitute tasted nice.

Had breakfast here. The portions were excellent value for money. We got the breakfast muffin, bagel and pancakes. The muffin and bagel had a really generous slice of tofu in. The patty in the muffin was really tasty and the muffin itself was soft. The bagel was tasty (think they’re using Le Vie bacon which is my favourite!) but it was a bit dry. This can be easily helped by ketchup. Both the bagel and muffin are £5 which I though was great value. The pancakes were a lovely treat as you don’t often find vegan American style pancakes. You get 3 pancakes and loads of butter and syrup (the butter is 3/4 time more than you need so they could probably dial back on that a bit!) We are got 3 has browns for £2.50. Exactly what you want from a hash brown, crispy and tasty. I also got a cappuccino which was nice coffee. The staff were immediately welcoming and helpful. The venue is small and simply but perfect for its purpose. We definitely would have been fine with just one of the bigger breakfast times each, but wanted to try more. A muffin or bagel from here would be a great way to start any morning.

I was in central Manchester very early and stopped in here for a breakfast wrap and a hot chocolate. Both were absolutely delicious - in particular the hot chocolate, it's the best I've had in a long long time. Prices very reasonable as well and I'll definitely be going back to try out more items on the menu when I can. Would highly recommend everyone tries Vegan Shack

Tasty burger (I had the Shack burger) and a good portion of fries! Vegan Shack is a little bit pricey, but I’d definitely come back for more. Next time I’m coming for their £7 lunch deal! :)

I’ve ordered from vegan shack a few times now and it never disappoints!! I’ve had the breakfast bagel and hash browns, and the shack burger with the shack fries. All were absolutely amazing and it’s definitely a go-to for me now. The portion of fries is huge and definitely worth the price. The staff are really lovely as well and I love chatting with them when I go in!

Cannot recommend Vegan Shack enough, the team, the food, the service. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would!

The service was lovely - really friendly and welcoming. However that’s kinda where my expectations were met everything else was pretty disappointing The burger was small and arrived cold, the tots portion were really stingy for the £7 they cost and the “crispy” onions on them were really chewy and stale. The restaurants door was broken so just constantly ajar letting in loads of cold air. It’s great that there’s more vegan places around but maybe if they spent less time/money on branding and more time on making an actually decent, fairly priced product I’d come back. If you’re in Manchester I’d give this a miss and go to the northern quarter.

Not the quickest of fast food but good stuff nonetheless. Love that they have a fake filet-o-fish burger as it's not a common thing done by vegan places. The portions for the chips and tots could do with being smaller. They're so huge that I end up binning about half of the portion - to stop this from happening I've just stopped ordering them because I don't want to be wasting food!

My partner and I ate here. Our initial thought was it is expensive compared to traditional fast food outlets. However, the difference is in the food, it was outstanding. The topped Fries are enough for two people and the burger was also fantastic. Top job and recommended 👌

This is without doubt the best vegan eatery we've yet tried. Granted, it a little bit more pricey than other fast food outlets, but the quality and quantity of the food is excellent. Absolutely bowled over by the burger - tasted like it had come straight off the barbecue, and the amount of fries you get puts places like Burger King to shame. Definitely going back the next time we're in Manchester.

Love this place! Food is awesome and the prob size of the fries is great! Not much atmosphere when eating in as it's more a quick takeaway style place but worth it for the vegan food.

Me and my girlfriend went there for breakfast and it was fantastic, I'm not vegan myself but the food quality, taste and temperature was absolutely perfect. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. Vegan or not it's still quality food!

I order from vegan shack all the time. Food is always amazing (everything on the menu is great) and every time they make me smile. The customer care is outstanding, they should be so proud of their team. Absolute stand out takeaway for me.

Mixed bag for me this one. We ate in and it's only a small place with a few places to sit. Pretty cold in the autumn with all the glass. The vegan burger was excellent and very tasty as were the fries. Good value with the meal deal. However we tried milkshake and a doughnut - both disappointing in quality and size and therefore overpriced. Would come back and get takeaway but wouldn't order anything sweet again, not worth it.

As a non vegan, I would always use this place when in Manchester. Their chips are amazing 👍🏻

Just had the best burger we have ever eaten! We stopped eating red meat around 5 years ago and have tried a fair few vegan burgers over the years. We both ordered the Double Truffle burger (my partners was Gluten Free) and both said it was incredible! The sauce, the patty, the flavour and texture were amazing and the cheese was perfectly melted and stringy. Wish we'd ordered an extra one each! Would love to have a Vegan Shack near us back in Gloucester!

I’ve been vegan for over 20 years and this was the best ‘beef’ burger I’ve ever had and I’ve had many! Staff very friendly too - service with a smile which you don’t get much these days.

After spending 3 months in the UK, I finally got to taste the most amazing vegan chicken burger. The large fries they served were absolutely delicious and definitely worth it, not a scam at all.

Omg the truffle burger!!! I've never tasted anything like it! Only wish i had room for two, delicious, i defy any meat eater to disagree, if they taste tested this in the city centre people would be amazed at its gorgeousness. Lovely ambience, friendly staff, delicious food- this place is wonderful. Could do with some plants in the windows and more space between the ad boards for people to look in and see how much the food is enjoyed maybe? But that's just my opinion, the food, service and people are great! Will return every time am in manchester.

The food as Vegan Shack is always really cheap. Breakfast is great and made quick, and there are plenty of lunch options. The ice cream and milkshakes are super tasty and well worth it on a hot day.

Really good quality food (the generously sized dusted fries and main vegan burger were both delicious), reasonably priced and friendly staff. Yeah there is a bit of a wait but this isn't McJunk's, I expect a 5-10 wait for fresh quality scran. Very friendly service, will definitely be going frequently now I've discovered it. Edit - 9 months later I tried the Loaded Fries for the first time, honestly I was almost in tears of joy eating them they were so heavenly. If every MdDonalds and Burger King in the world were suddenly to disappear and replaced with Vegan Shacks the world and its inhabitants would be in a far better place.

BEST VEGAN LOADED FRIES. Look I’m a fan of loaded fries, and these are so so good, the flavour is there, the seasoning is there, there’s a lot of Mayo which I love (taste just like how I wanted which is a bit like burger sauce). Listen, please try, it’s worth £7. You know what’s amazing about these fries? Even when you get to the bottom, it’s delicious, because THE FLAVOUR IS THERE. Lovely staff and clean store! Please please open more in the U.K.! I live an hour away from Manchester but I would drive all the way for these 😍

Wonderful staff asked them if we could fill our water bottle up as really hot 29 degrees celisus and extremely helpful. Our waterbottle was filled promptly no questions asked. We then went on to order their signature chips the large portion was nice and bigger than expected. Extremely tasted would definantly recommend.

Every time I m in the office I always order from here which has been around 2/3x now; as someone who isn’t vegan their burgers are so yummy, the fries are top notch and the tater tots are so tasty! They also have a lot of variety which I like. I will definitely keep coming back to them

I popped in here for a quick work lunch to take back to the office. I’m a vegetarian and have tried lots of these types of places and this one was top tier. The chicken and batter was great, the perfect kind of fast food taste. The chips were spiced and really nice too (you get so many with the lunch portion - I couldn’t finish them all!). Great lunch deal including drink for £7.

Nothing can top this amazing food : from breakfast bagels, pancakes to the spicy nashvill burger or addictive shakes - any dish we tried was so good, we will return for sure. It is a must stop for any foodie looking to indulge on fab junkfood

If you're looking for vegan fast food, or even just tasty comfort food in general, you could do far worse. Had the nuggets and a burger, and both were very tasty. The fact that everything is plant-based makes it a wonderfully uncomplicated experience for a vegan.

I love all the food options. But I need some kind of brown bread option. So that's hard for me to choose.

I had ordered the chicken burger & regular fries with the shack mayo. The burger tasted really nice and the fries were fresh and hot. I would have preferred the fries without the red salt however they were still nice. The price is a bit on the expensive side - £10.95 for burger, regular fries and a drink.
