The best restaurants in Church Liverpool North West

Haven’t been to Maray for a while but happily they have kept their standards up. Imaginative small plates with a Levantine twist with the pork cheeks stealing the show. Excellent bottle of Macedonian red from the limited wine list helped us to enjoy a very good evening. Lovely service from young and enthusiastic staff.

Been to the restaurant a few times before but today was total disappointment! We (just two of us) arrived and there were a few empty tables and the waiter came and told us that all the empty tables were fully booked, even though the restaurant has two floors. We have been here before when the restaurant was very busy and this never happened. We never complained before when the food took a long time to be served, since it’s good—but this experience was totally disappointing and not recommended at all. This restaurant does walk-ins as well as bookings and might be expected to be prepared for the Bank Holiday being busy. Edit : this happened on 5th of May around 12noon, there were a few empty table at that time and the waiter came and asked if we have a booking, we said no as this is our 5th visit to the restaurant and he directly said its fully booked and asked us to come 3-4 hours later while we know that the restaurant has 2 floor seating arrangements. It is so unreasonable as on the restaurant website it doesn’t say “requires booking” plus its only 2 of us. Again when we visited the restaurant before, when its full, the Italian waiter just politely asked us to wait 15-20 minutes which its fine and we kist waited. It is so disappointing and even though the food was amazing, but the service makes me not want to visit your restaurant again.

Absolutamente helado en este restaurante a la 1 : 30 pm - todo el mundo dejó sus abrigos puestos durante toda la comida (incluyendo la camarera . ) 45 minutos de espera para los alimentos demasiado caros y poco cocinados, algunos de los cuales se devolvieron ya que no eran comestibles . No he estado en este restaurante durante varios años y pensé en darle otra oportunidad, realmente desearía que no nos hubiéramos molestado.

34 of us had a fantastic Christmas meal and night out at Bloom. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and very efficient and the singer was fab. Highly recommended xxx

Mi nieto hija y yo llamamos después de las compras y disfrutamos de queso con tostadas y té. Fue maravilloso. Mi nieto hizo un almuerzo para niños que él también disfrutó mucho.

Home cooked delicious food, generous portions and friendly staff

Such an authentic cozy cafe! Came here with my family for brunch, we arrived and the place was near its maximum occupancy but we still managed to find a table. The cafe seemed full of Life with locals coming in and out, the menu was cheap and enticing as it took us a while to chose what to eat! Would recommend!

Very poor food and extremely slow service, wasn't busy either tiny bagel with a couple of skiny chips £15.00! disgraceful won't be going there again, I also witnessed a member of staff standing behind the bar with a roll of cling film, rubbing it up and down the back of his head and neck,very hygienic if I had seen this before eating I'd have walked out........

Tapas muy sabrosas y buen tamaño de porción. Elige 2 o 3 tapas para una buena comida. Servicio muy eficiente y amable. Pasamos un sábado por la tarde muy agradable en el olivo.

mak's kitchen is a very small little family run business that you could easily walk past. i went to the one on rose lane a few weeks ago an it was very posh looking but overprices and the food very basic. i had parked my car by this little takeway s decided to try her and WOW it was briliant. i got so much food for £21 and it was asoutely delicious. you must give it a try and you wll see what i mean. would NEVER go anywhere else.

Extremely disappointed and feel ripped off. I’ve ordered from here a few times but my meal today was probably worth about £5 nevermind 15-20! Tiny pieces of chicken and barely any rice or salad. Looked like prison food. Also no tahini sauce provided which used to be done in the past. Not ordering again absolute rip off.

The best fish and chips I've had in years...fresh and clean....batter is amazing....thin,crispy and cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef. BIG THANKS
