Amazing staff, best bar in the area hands down

Awful place. Avoid if possible. Awful service.

Very unpleasant experience Sat outside enjoying drinks with friends. Two females were outside sat next to us chatting. Out of nowhere one of the two complained that we were listening to their conversation. We only sat on the next table because it had a working heater above it, the others were broken. A rather large female member of staff decided to insist we had outstayed our welcome and took our drinks from us and asked us to leave. Disgusting service wouldn’t recommend at all. Was absolutely fine until they played their woke card and tried to infer that male clientele must have been in the wrong Ridiculously over priced drinks too Wouldn’t bother

For an establishment looking at the more elegant client, the guys serving/working at the Allerton branch could at very least not look like they are slobs. Tatty jeans and t-shirts are not suiting this place

I love this place! You are transported back to 1920s French decadence. Cocktails and atmosphere wonderful.

Just needed to put a review on this gaff because it’s one of those places that are few and far between these days. Been coming here for years and love the place and the vibe never changes! You can set your watch by the staff, the service level never drops, the staff are the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. You really are made to feel special and exclusive in this place. The jazz entertainment is phenomenal, the layout and ambiance is second to none! 10 out of 10 for this place, ambiance is great, entertainment is great, but what really makes the place is the welcoming staff and their service! Lovely atmosphere for a relaxed night out. Table service as well 👌 Meat and cheese board was delicious, lovely staff. Well recommend.

Lovely, cosy french jazz bar with great atmosphere. The cheese and meat plates are so delicious, and the wines / beers are excellent. Decent live jazz singers and bands at different days in the week. Dog friendly too!

Lovely chilled atmosphere for a late afternoon drink and nibbles. Some good background tunes and good choice of wines.

Saturday night drinks and snacks with a fab jazz trio supplying great atmosphere. Bar snacks are excellent!

Pretty decor Good music Service needs improving Little bit awkward in terms for asking for ID’s , customer repertoire needs improving to avoid customer offence and discretion After all someone who is under age probably isn’t going to be going to a wine bar in allerton! Especially for the price point Could do with some older servers who specialise in good customer service and watch the custom improve

As a regular visitor I'm sad to to say just had worst experience of visiting over many years. Staff two young ladies just terrible drink served to my wife was flat and when I looked at our host they new it had to go to bar to order drink just made to feel unwelcome in the way . Will definitely be looking to see which staff are on in future as I really enjoy a night here.

Great wine and very friendly welcome in a New York style atmosphere with live jazz and nice clientele. The staff were fantastic, would love to return.

Great atmosphere and drinks selection.

Its a lovely little place. Decor, eminence etc just ticks all the boxes. There's lice music and you can still hear yourself think and have a conversation. It's dog friendly too. Just perfect....

Great selection of wines and beer. Food is superb, staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient. Live jazz for free throughout the week is amazing and the atmosphere is cozy and warm. Love this place. Gets busy fast as is so popular, so get there early on a weekend or nights they have live music, as they don't take bookings.

£20 for two drinks - yikes! Not much space in between neighboring tables either. Not for me.
