We booked a table for 5 on Mother's day and arrived at Akshaya looking forward to a great meal and service as we have many times in the past. It went downhill fast as soon as we arrived. The service was terrible and we spoke to people who had been there for over 2 hours for their meal. We were served our cold starter before the poppadoms and was cold. If we wanted a drink we had to leave our table to go to the bar ourselves. It looks like the owners accepted too many bookings and there was not enough staff. After many previous visits I'm afraid I will not be eating here again. I hope the management learn by their mistakes.

The food was delicious, very well cooked and quickly prepared. The staff was also really nice, especially Bhanu.

Akshaya - The Picture Drome is a fantastic find! The food was incredible – the chill chicken and lamb biryani were both amazing. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is really unique and beautiful. Highly recommend!

The meal excellent. Thank you. The only slight issue this time visiting was that I felt rushed by the servers I had literally sat down and they were asking about what food and drinks I wanted. Felt a little like they were rushing us through our visit. Possibly due to the venue being busy but did take the shine of of the night.

I visit here all the way from walsall . It's such an amazing place . The food is delicious the staff are very helpful and your prices are good. My Wife wanted the Indian tea but that's off the menu as to is the lollipop chicken. Please bring them back

Went for a family gathering. 14 of us seated comfortably. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I had the lamb shank and omg, it was delicious.....very tender and huge! Very reasonably priced. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was perfect. Ideal for a romantic evening or a family get together. Will definitely visit again. 5*****

Such a nice place, with super service - Nandha was a beautiful guide for me, as a beginner for the cuisine, and a fantastic waitress. Will definitely come back. The atmosphere is amazing. It looks amazing. It’s a shame that I missed the dj nights,, and all the parties they arrange. Looking forward the experience them next time. Everybody should come here; for the food, the staff, and wonderful atmosphere! And, it’s also calm and relaxing.

This is a Really nice restarant. What you would normally expect in a town center. Interior is amazing. The place was really clean. Food was really tasty with lots of choice. It was also nice not to come out smelling like i had just came out of a restaurant. It also had a really nice bar for drink in the back. Where you can watch sport. Will definitely be going again

I have visited as a diner and have always left very pleased, but I would like to leave a review about my experience renting the upstairs space for a 40th birthday. The staff were attentive and friendly and the space is absolutely beautiful. I was able to bring in a live band and decorate minimally to my taste. I had an amazing night, thanks to everyone at Akshaya! My ONLY criticism (which is less on the venue and more on the general public) is that lots of random customers were wandering in and out of the space throughout the evening; maybe it would be beneficial to have signage for private parties? Other than that, thank you so much!

First time at restaurant, came highly recommended by a number off friends, staff so helpful, surroundings lovely, enjoyed drinks, difficult for me to have an Indian as wife not keen went on the steak night(Friday) she really enjoyed a tasty steak , poppadoms crispy hot and fresh dips lovely, chicken tikka starter tasty well presented chicken thick and wonderfully white each chunk, mains I got chicken buttered ,lamb rogan josh and naan bread as recommend, naan garlic thin and light ideal for dipping, lamb, can't be beat chunky pieces that tear apart, chicken white and chunky, finished lamb brought home left over chicken best Indian food I have tasted, even beats the tandoori cottage up the lancs

Ooh my goodness! I’d heard about this place for a while and went this evening with my family for a birthday celebration. It was wonderful! The food was tasty and well presented. The staff were attentive but not in your face. The surroundings are just fabulous, I will be honest I did wonder because of where it’s situated but it’s just a lovely place to eat. Give yourself the pleasure of dining here, you won’t regret it.

If you're enticed by the decor,that's only good thing about this restaurant. Don't expect the dishes to be authentic and fresh(we know our curries living in Bradford) Unfortunately they reheat everything,our dishes were like rubber and chicken was stiff Biryani was not authentic,the fish was big let down. Bearing in mind we are group of 8. Not one of us enjoyed our dishes Nothing stood out besides staff bad behaviour. The prices they charge are very expensive for what you receive and quality. We've eaten at many Indian restaurants and this must have been the worst. There are better options in Halewood,that restaurant is amazing and prices reflect.
