34 of us had a fantastic Christmas meal and night out at Bloom. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and very efficient and the singer was fab. Highly recommended xxx

Really nice place and the staff are friendly which always makes a difference.We had a really good dinner and service was excellent.First visit for us but not the last.Personally would have liked a dark beer rather than the usual lagers but that's just me, I had a nice glass of wine instead.

My wife Jacqueline and I had our wedding reception here at the end of May and what an amazing occasion it was at the Verdant. Charlotte and her staff were very professional all of our guests commented what a lovely restaurant it is. The food was freshly prepared and served hot to all our guests and the evening went brilliant with Emma the resident singer keeping everyone entertained. It was the icing on top of our wedding cake to end the day at the Verdant we can't praise everyone enough.

Thought we’d give this a try for lunch. Menu looked quite appealing. Excellent choice of wine, gins and cocktails. Staff very friendly. However, the service was slow to the point of being neglected- despite there only being 3 tables occupied for the whole time we were there. The kitchen wad slow to deliver and only one member of staff was covering the bar area and restaurant. Served the purpose of providing lunch but will not rush back.

I have been to Verdant previously and always enjoyed the food and service, so called in today with group of friends for drinks and as we did not want a full meal we were advised by new owner Charlotte to go for a selection of starters to pick at with our drinks. Once again we were not disappointed by the quality of food, fantastic.Charlotte and her staff were so kind and helpful even keeping kitchen open longer to accommodate us

I have been to Verdant for 2 years on Mothers Day and it's always had a lovely vibe. Live singer and full of ladies just having a lovely afternoon. This year we were sent the menu a couple of days before and I was surprised to see the Price at £35 for a standard 3 course menu. Everything we picked was from the standard Sunday menu. Prawns, roast dinner and white chocolate cheese cake. All which is £26 in total. So what was the £9 difference for. The apparent DJ cancelled so no entertainment. It was supposed to be fully booked but it was half empty and no entertainment on. New young Manager Charlotte is definitely not the best in Customer Service. Very inefficient and pretenciuos which is bizarre considering shes so young. They definitely need to invest in a proper Manager who is warm and friendly. To be fair the food was nice but not worth the the extra money just because the menu said Mothers Day.

We went to this restaurant for a Mother’s Day meal the service was excellent pity we couldn’t say that about the food the starters were awful I had the prawns they were disgusting I then had the lamb roast which wasn’t to bad and then the sponge cake for dessert which again was awful , I had really been looking forward to going to this restaurant , I won’t be going back in a hurry , such a shame

If you are a foodie, this is not the place for you. Verdant's decor is a little pretentious - littered with champagne bottles. It's the type of place that hosts baby showers and seems to be an eatery for WAGs. This would be fine if the food was Premier League but it was more 4th Division. For starters we ordered lamb koftas and falafel. The koftas were nicer than the falafel but both were just OK and not seasoned very well. For mains, we chose the gourmet burger, haddock risotto and beef roast dinner. Most dishes were served with a garnish of cucumber, grapefruit and half dead flowers which was really odd. My burger wasn't seasoned very well and the halloumi and avocado on top were disapponting. The haddock risotto was not creamy in the slightest. It was just rice with a piece of dry haddock on top. The only dessert we tried was the date and banana loaf which was quite dry. It wasn't served with any cream, custard or ice cream which seemed strange. The waitress had to 'check' if we could have some cream with it. The most positive part was the price - 2 courses for £15 or 3 for £20. The service was just OK. Efficient enough but certainly not warm or friendly. I wouldn't recommend Verdant at all - definitely style over substance.

Decided to go out the night before valentine and had a lovely meal here. Great menu, vegan choice very nice. Really nice restaurant will return soon.

Booked a 40th birthday here for 18 people and can't fault anything about the food, service or venue. Staff were great and food was served promptly. Recommend this place. 5*

Visited here recently with a group of friends and was somewhat underwhelmed by the quality of some of the cooking - risotto was stodgy, sea bass was a bit over cooked, potatoes were “crushed” and lumpy; soup was pleasant, prawns fine. Altogether a somewhat inconsistent effort from the kitchen. Service was good and professional, and value, considering there was a special offer available, was fair Will try it again in near future and see if things are more to our liking.

Where do I start? I emailed Verdant back in October 2018 to enquire about availability for a baby shower to be held in January 2019. Ashton emailed me back the same day and was extremely helpful.

Food was fabulous. Lovely and fresh and extremely tasty. They have 50% off in January so I assumed it would be busy, not at all, which was a shame for atmosphere. Didn’t stop us enjoying, just a shame for the place to be so quiet. Will definitely return and I always recommend to friends and family.

Three of us had a gin tasting session and it was a great experience. The venue is beautiful, the presenter (im useless with names) was excellent and very knowledgable. It was interesting and enjoyable and there was no rush.

Went for a birthday meal after reading reviews online at the verdant in Allerton road the place is lovely inside really nice decor food was really nice I was shocked at the waiting time between courses 40mins I thought they had forgotten about us at 1 time no apologies on the wait also the staff were not dressed in a uniform which I thought was unprofessional for that type of place and we waited quite a while for drinks I will not be going back there again .

The most perfect venue for an event! I had my gender reveal here on saturday 27th October, cant thank the staff enough for the service we recieved. From the minute i booked they where so accomidating, the night was perfect we all recieved our food very quick considering it was a meal for 47 people. Each and every person enjoyed their meals will definately be back for my baby shower! Thank you all! Xx

Went Here on sunday night with my partner for dinner, when we arrived we had to wait a long period of time to be seated as waitress was too busy talking to other people and didnt even notice us waiting. when we were seated drinks orderd were ok, drinks service was fast but lady serving was rude and unhelpful

We had lunch here on Saturday afternoon and the food was excellent. We both chose the salt and pepper chicken wraps which were served with chunky chips. The wraps were huge with lots of chicken and really tasty. They were beautifully served with a small salad and chips which were of good quality. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We finished a very long and relaxing lunch with coffees - just perfect. I would strongly recommend this restaurant

Lovely restaurant - it's decorated really nice inside. Very instagrammable!! I came for a friends baby shower and they laid on a kind of buffet, but it was more like fancy canapes than standard buffet food. It was all really tasty and there was more than enough to go around. There was also some small desserts after the savoury which were good too. Great venue for this kind of event.

Visited Verdant on Allerton rd with my friend for her birthday. We wanted something more than just pub food & this fitted the bill - 2 courses for £12.95 @ lunchtime ( we actually visited about 3pm) it was quiet probably because it was a Tuesday but it didn’t affect our enjoyment.

Visited on 2nd August 2018 and our group of 8 people were not disappointed. Good food choice all served at same time and was lovely. Great drinks menu choice, setting was wonderful and the service outstanding, they could not do enough for us extremely accommodating. Made the day great. Thank you

Been dying to try Verdant for a while as it came recommended and finally on Tuesday I got to go! They do a 2 course early evening dinner menu for £15 which is very good value looking at the prices for the al a carte. They had 2 or 3 vegetarian options for starter including soup, a sweet potato dish and halloumi falafels. I had the falafels of course which were lovely! Out of 7 dishes for the mains, there was only one option for vegetarian which was a risotto which is my least favourite meal - but it was nice enough, although carrots on the side were abit al dente for my liking. My carnivore friend had the lamb starter which she said was delightful and a chicken meal for main which had a weird sweet potato pancake with it which she didn't say was very nice. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is stunning - beautifully presented.

Visited Verdant for a family meal for my birthday, as a regular customer, the food as always was amazing, the service exceptional provided by Ashton and her team , nothing is ever to much trouble, thanks also to Scarlet and Mollie

I would give 5 stars for the food and hospitality alone, however, 4 stars overall due to the complaints from my partner. We ate there during lunch so we hadn’t booked a table and was originally seated inside the restaurant towards the back. My partner complained that it smelt strongly of urine, which I couldn’t deny. He let a waitress know and she very quickly and hassle free, moved us to a booth by the bar. We didn’t wait long for food and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. My partner moaned quite a bit that the booth seats were just too high up compared to the tables and he sat uncomfortably throughout. I sat on a chair opposite so was absolutely fine. He couldn’t moan at all about the food though! I was surprised how good the lunch menu was. It was also presented beautifully. The evening menu must be fantastic. Kudos to the chef.

Excellent meal beautifully presented , service very good staff very friendly not rushed . Added bonus is a fantastic Gin menu and area to drink in after you have eaten . I have been here many times and have never found anything other than great food and service.

My partner and I suggested Verdant when my family were coming over to visit, it’s our go-to place for a relaxed evening with scrumptious food!

Have eaten here 3 times now with my family, breakfast, lunch and dinner all three were most enjoyable experiences. The menu for each was really good and the food for all was excellent.

My experience at Verdant was incredible! from the drinks, food, atmosphere and amazing staff who serve you at your every need. Verdant not only looks amazing but the experience is also amazing. Verdant went above and beyond my expectations! It is not my go to place in Liverpool for sure!

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the chicken supreme as this was cooked to perfection!

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for a romantic meal for our anniversary, it was perfect. The restaurant itself is so well thought out with its beautiful modern and unique decor. The staff were so welcoming and were extremely polite and approachable. The menu had plenty of vegetarian options for me. The staff found no trouble at all in cooking food for my partner who has peanut, shellfish and mushroom allergies. The vegetarian food was to die for, it was absolutely fantastic, best vegetarian food that I’ve had in a long long time. My partners steak was cooked to perfection and the prosecco they serve is delicious. We will definitely be revisiting and I’m recommending it to everyone who asks about a restaurant in Liverpool. I want to revisit for my birthday in a few months!!! So so so good, I can’t give this place a high enough review!!! It’s gorgeous!!

What a shame this place looked really good on the website. when we arrived in the evening for our booking, we thought they were closed ! no tables were set and there was only one other couple there, every other place we walked past on the way was full of people. The staff were loud and over friendly, The decor looked good on the surface but was tacky and tired.

Cannot fault one single thing. Maybe some of the other customers. Seen them being rude to the staff and laughing about it. Big group of women ought be ashamed of themselves. Keep up the good work verdant !!!

I have been here for a few meals before and always enjoyed it.

I visited the restaurant this evening a group of 15 of us. The service was not great. There was no atmosphere in there and overpriced. I certainly will not be dashing back for an evening out. Maybe you have to be a famous face to get good service and a bit of music!!

Celebrated my daughters 21st here on 3rd September, staff are fantastic, food brilliant. Will surely use this service again!

We had good meal and was a first visit for most of us. The place was a little quiet but is was a Sunday evening. The setting was well layout and good decor which really would suit any occation. The menu although small had more than enough choices for us. The food was all very good and th main course excellant, a small disapointment the ordered side of veg didnt turn up but the late order of chips did and they were given free as compensation. Overall very good and well priced, we would go again.

Overall had a very good experience at the weekend, the food and service were faultless the only slight negative would be the decor....its a bit weird and cheap.

Went on a deal night so food reduced but wine was £18.50 for cheapest house Cabernet and wasn't marvellous. Had lovely meal but wouldn't pay full price for it - over rated

I made a reservation on Monday 15th January for Thursday 18th January at 6.15pm. On Tuesday 16th January, I telephoned as I had not received an email to confirm my booking. The telephoned was not picked up and just rang out. On Wednesday 17th January, I telephoned the restaurant again and I was told that there was no booking on the system and that the manager would telephone me, which never happened. Disappointing that my friends and I never got to try Verdant and that my business was not wanted.

Been to this restaurant twice, and it doesn’t disappoint, the staff are all friendly and can have a laugh with the customers. Food is lovely and will be returning :)

Visited this afternoon for the first time and wasn’t disappointed. Me and my friend both had the fillet steak sandwiches which were amazing and a side of chips. John our brilliant waiter was more than helpful with our annoying requests ( caramelised onions instead of normal, mushrooms in the sides and red wine sauce pls) he was great! Asset to your company. Will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family. Can’t wait to come back and try the evening menu

Totally enjoyed every minute of our lunch. I took a friend for a treat . The location is good. The venue beautiful, Service was spot on , very helpful and cheerful a lady was our waitress. The food was excellent and believe me I am one to pick on the details if everything isn't good. I cannot question anything. I personally intend to return and would highly recommend Verdant.

Having visited before I was so looking forward to a catch up with friends and was not disappointed. The decor, staff and food are excellent. I chose the filet steak which was delicious; cooked to perfection and served with just enough chunky chips. On the advice of our waiter I settled on the cheesecake for dessert and was glad that I did. Will definitely return again.

Visited Verdant twice over the festive period, NYE was an amazing night. As usual the food was fantastic, staff very helpful with nothing too much trouble. The fillet steak on the festive menu was one of the best I have had. I would always recommend Verdant and thanks to Aston who is always super helpful

5 guest and I came on Saturday 23rd December for my birthday. I had previously enjoyed a meal and drinks a few months back and really enjoyed my evening so I decided to book for my birthday.

Always fancied trying this restaurant as it looks beautiful & it certainly didn't disappoint, we were greeted immediately and took to our table, the staff were so helpful and friendly we were served by a very young waitress who was a credit to the restaurant, I am vegan and gluten intolerant first time I have ever dined out with such ready choices the food was delicious, and excellent value. Thank you Verdant we well definitely be back. Exceeded all expectations

Just returned home from a fantastic meal, the food was faultless throughout! The three-course festive menu at just over £20.00 is well worth a try. Drinks were over-priced unfortunately (£10.00 for 2 blackcurrant & sodas) but cannot fault the food and atmosphere

Visually a beautiful place to dine. However disappointed that for such a "fine dining experience" the food was average. Waiters were not forthcoming in their assistance ie. They seemed not too bothered about approaching you to see if you were satisfied or needed anything else. Atmosphere was dull considered it was mid afternoon. Would not revisit as there are finer eateries in Liverpool than this.

LOVE Verdant. Very looked after by all the staff and our server Jay. Very attentive and professional. Never rushed during the meal and the food was great. Oreo cheesecake best I've ever tried. Cant wait to return. Thank you for making it a special evening for a special birthday. We had booked the big table under the flowers it was beautiful thank you again.

Had a lovely brunch here after wedding dress shopping for my friend. We had the table under the wisteria, which is a nice touch and really sets the venue off. I had eggs royale and was impressed by the salmon portion – usually they can be small but this was huge! I would come back again for breakfast or to try the evening menu.

Verdant is amazing, the food and service is amazing plus they helped me out with my birthday meal as it was booked elsewhere but didn't go well but Verdant were on hand to help out.

I love the decor in here, I will definitely come back. The food is delicious and great service. There is a great seat in the bar area for a selfie which I will be coming back to use!

I won today's afternoon tea as part of a Facebook competition. I have been to Verdant several times for drinks, food and gin tasting and it's always a great experience. We had a choice of sandwiches to order, which was good and saves pushing the egg mayonnaise to one side!! Lovely cakes and fab service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and am looking forward to my next visit for gin tasting!

I visited Verdant for my friends birthday a few weeks ago. I had requested prior to the meal if possible could we be seated under the wisteria that hangs from the ceiling and for a birthday dessert to be brought out at the end of the meal.

We went there first time for our New Year party with colleagues. It is really nice inside. The barman was great, he made cocktails which were not in the menu, and they were just great. Food looked nice and was very tasty. Since then we have come back several times with my husband, sometimes for dinner, sometimes just for drinks- and it was always good experience. Not cheap, but reasonable prices.

My friend booked this restaurant, there were several of us some of them enjoyed their food, but I didn't enjoy mine to be honest. I had the Prawns to start , they were pretty tasteless and my main was the Chicken which was Luke warm, accompanied by baby new potatoes cooked in what seemed to taste like tinned tomatoes, not nice. I did taste my friend's Steak this was well cooked and well seasoned. The desserts were very good.

Visited here for breakfast with my girlfriend, this is a lovely place and the staff are very friendly too.

We went on Saturday night for a meal and found it to be a lovely cosy restaurant. The layout is welcoming and the customer service is world class. The food was well presented and tasty. I would definitely recommend everyone should visit :-)

Went today to Verdant for a gin tasting session. It was so nice......very relaxed and gins (6) staggered over a good period. Parcel was very knowledgeable and the service was faultless, as always. I will definitely book this again, it was such a lovely afternoon- highly recommended.

I booked the silver gin package deal at the bar for my friends birthday, it did not disappoint! Lovely drinks made right in front of us, with all staff very friendly and working hard to ensure you have the best time. Couldn't fault our visit at all. First time visiting and I definitely will be coming back, along with recommending to all my friends and family!

A cute little gem on Allerton Road, the interiors design is very classy and smart. I would say the representation of the food and price has similar traits to fine dining which I'm not so keen on but it's properly the only "fine dining" place on Allerton road. The staff are polite and informative however I'm not sure if it was because of the heat and the weather being really hot the day I was there but the girls uniforms were very unprofessional, (short skirts, low cut tops) . It just didn't go with the restaurant and scenario however the manager was in a suit.

First time in the restaurant. A warm welcome greeted us. Plush surroundings, very good food menu,including choices for vegetarians. Wonderful service and most importantly delicious food !! Accommodated us with great food for the kids. Would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant to all ages and families.

With three family members having a birthday in one week , we always pick a restaurant to suits all age groups. And this one didn't disappoint. A hi chair was not a problem for our great niece . We had full attention of the staff due to it not being busy on a Tuesday, First we were told the lamb was only enough for four people ! Which was fine as only one person wanted it . Then the wine we wanted was not available but they offered an alternative ( more expensive at the other wines cost ) good service!! All the starters arrived looking and tasting Fab ! Then the mains I had the pork with goats cheese ( what a treat ) .

If you've had enough of street food, fusion food and sticky sweet sauce on your chips on Allerton Road then give Verdant a try. This was our first visit as we had previously been put off by the huge sofas blocking the view into the restaurant. The sofas have been removed and so we ventured in and were very pleased to find "real" food on offer. By this I mean fillet steak, choice of fish, chicken etc and some quality starters. The menu is quite small but the food is excellent. Reasonable prices for food and wine.

Booked last minute and was incredibly impressed. It was just myself and my mumfor New Years Eve dinner. The food was really lovely, the service was great considering it was NYE and the staff were really friendly. Excellent value and made for an unexpectedly good New Year! Would def recommend

Visited Saturday, staff were really busy with it being races day yet still they were really attentive and very polite! Chose chicken bacon ciabatta and it was really lovely! Chips were amazing! Would defiantly recommend!

Beautiful decor. Very friendly staff. Limited menu, handed to us in a single side of paper. Expensive. I had the stuffed pepper, being vegan, my only choice. I had no idea all the veg was going to be cooked al dente. Difficult to cut up when you have arthritis in fingers.

This is my fourth visit to this restaurant as I find it excellent. However I visited for brunch today and was really let down. We waited nearly 50 minutes and were the first in the restaurant. No butter in the toast, it was hard. The crispy bacon hadn't seen hot fat very lightly cooked. Such a shame. The staff are really nice but think brunch just isn't their strong point. Would recommend visiting of an evening or a Sunday afternoon.

We visited this fabulous restaurant for my mum's 60th birthday. We were a group of 25 and the staff could not have looked after us any better. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and service second to none. No complaints from any of our large party, beautiful food in lovely surroundings. This was my first visit to Verdant but definitely won't be the last. Thanks to Ashton and her team for making my mum's celebration meal so special.

I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough! We went here for my dad's surprise party and the staff Jay and Ashton were so accommodating. All of the staff at Verdant have excellent customer service nothing is too much for them and they have a lovely manner. It mkes the experience all the more worth while. The decor is beautiful. The food is lovely. Very high standard cuisine at reasonable prices. Will definitley be a regular here. Thankyou verdant!

My friends and I visited Saturday 4th March the waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about all food and drink, everything about the food was lovely, very impressed with the drinks menu. We all had a Lovely evening,would recommend and return again.

This restaurant has changed it's name a few times, so we tried it hoping food would be good. Unfortunately, it was average, nothing exciting about it, if you fancy something simple, this is the place to go to. Good service and wine, but not somewhere to go to for amazing food, it's just ok.

Food lacked flavour, I had monkfish with risotto for my main course and it was like baby food!! No salt on any table so couldn't even add seasoning!?
