Very poor food and extremely slow service, wasn't busy either tiny bagel with a couple of skiny chips £15.00! disgraceful won't be going there again, I also witnessed a member of staff standing behind the bar with a roll of cling film, rubbing it up and down the back of his head and neck,very hygienic if I had seen this before eating I'd have walked out........

Meals were lovely Puddings were quite poor. Eaton mess was a dish full of cream the odd strawberry and i didn't find any meringue. The brownie sundae was all cream and some brownie on top no Ice cream.. Young lad and girl serving are drinks were absolutely lovely

Really disappointed I have wanted to try this for ages and finally got round to going Team were very polite and made great conversation. The restaurant is decorated Beautifully- the food however was such a let down I ordered a sweet potato and pomegranate salad, that’s literally what I got, no salad it was just some avocado potato and pomegranate No seasoning No dressing No flavour Just really not what I was expecting My aunt ordered creamy chicken and mushroom pasta and there was nothing creamy about it It was just oily, she has to dip her napkin in the bowl to soak some of the butter and oil up. There was no atmosphere, pretty dead for a bank holiday weekend And the table was wobbly Was really worth going. Wouldn’t recommend Feel it was a waste of money

Far too expensive for what was ordered. My wife,daughter and partner popped in for a very light snack and the bill was nothing short of a rip-off.

Too expensive. Food was nice, staff friendly. We got three very basic salads, one small portion of fries and three non alcoholic beers and it was nearly £70 - feel ripped off!

Been looking forward to trying here for a while as their roast dinners always looked really good, books in for Mother’s Day to treat my missus.. service was with a smile.. although was seated on an extremely wobbly table even though there was space for us to sit else where we were told no, the table was just an unwanted nuisance more than anything. We asked for no cauliflower cheese as non of us like cauliflower, so we were charged 5 pounds for 4 boiled potatoes, roast looks appetizing but potatoes were not roasted, carrot and turnip was undercooked and unmashed ( as pictured in there advertised roast a week ago ) broccoli was missing and tbh so was the gravy. Was really disappointed and expressed that to the lady serving she said she would “ tell the chef “ was really looking forward to going here but feel it’s over priced over rated and the standard of food was poor to what I expected! Hope the chef takes some time to perfect his unroasted roasties, mash his carrot n sweed as well as find the gravy boat as it’s needed!!!

We visited this place on sat 6th jan, the food was absolutely gorgeous the best steak I've had and also the best cheesy garlic bread too. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious, there was 5 of us and couldn't fault any of the food at all. Nice decor and the atmosphere was nice,there was a singer on. Staff very pleasant. Can't wait to go back

We had wonderful   ‘service with a smile’ in the upstairs room which we hired for the afternoon for a family Christmas party. The food was gorgeous, with our dietary requirements  such as a family member’s serious egg and nut allergies carefully noted .  The staff constantly checked on the party to ensure we had enough drinks, and that we were happy with our food. I would definitely give Bloom 5 stars .

Without doubt the best breakfast I've ever had. Small veggie special. Amazing , delicious and varied, and actually massive. Brilliant, will be here again soon!

We have had the most amazing evening at bloom, me and my best friend had food and drinks,the food is fantastic, drinks are fab especially the sangria. All the staff are amazing. We hired the private room upstairs for a big friends lunch/reunion. Pavel and the team were brilliant and we felt really looked after! They were also great about allergy information (we had a peanut allergy in our group. The food and service was really nice- we had a lovely afternoon. Thanks so much to all at Bloom :)

My first visit to blooms bar and bistro but wont be the last. 13 of us came for a birthday breakfast for my daughters 18th in the private dining upstairs, the room was perfect and we was aloud to decorate it to make it extra special ,the breakfast was really good , we all have different breakfasts and everyone said the same , tasty , hot and no complaints , need to give a shout out for the staff , Pavel & Claudia. I would especially like to thank Claudia for all she done for us ,she could not do enough which made it extra special and a perfect celebration. 5* to Claudia great customer service , and definitely made a difference to are celebration. 😁

Nice pleasant venue seeing quality food and drink, great staff and service. We went for lunch on a Friday at this time plenty of seating and space. Wait was not long for the food and drink to arrive. Would go back again and perhaps try dinner.

Went to a baptism party for 25 in upstairs function room. Staff could not be more accommodating. Extra different sauces brought on request. Party member ordered wrong food, no drama they bought what he wanted. We all enjoyed are food, room was nice for a large group meal.

Absolutely amazing venue for my baby shower in the private room upstairs....from the minute I booked the venue ...the team were so quick responding to any of my email queries and changing preferences for allergies, recommendations for singers etc prior to the day.... they couldn't do enough and then the day of my baby shower (15.7.23) Pavel, Claudia and the team couldn't do enough from swapping meals last minute to cutting up the cake and giving it to take away to the food itself being impeccable as well as service and to top it all off - the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Honestly if you're thinking of having a boujie, quaint venue with great food, service, atmosphere and overall great time this is the venue for you!! Can't thank them enough:) xx

Couldn’t recommend the place more. Chose to celebrate our daughters Christening here with a meal for family, staff went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. The food is amazing and the restaurant is beautiful.

Beautiful decorated with lovely flowers. I took my daughter for a coffee date, and she loved it. The girls were lovely in there, too.

**EDIT:Odd reply to my review from the owners. If the restaurant had a full kids menu I would expect lunch to include some sandwiches congruent with a typical 4 year olds tastes. Do you really class cheese and bread as being off menu? If your staff can't manage customer service as simple as that then perhaps rethink what you want to achieve. Lowered my review because of this reply. ** Overpriced even though food was tasty. The guy who served me didn't seem to understand what a sandwich was as I asked for a plain cheese sandwich for my son. He asked me what it was, what it would look like and then clarified 4 times did I want it toasted, which I said No to each time. What I got was a massive piece of toast and a pot of cheese on the side... Cut that toast right in half, cheese all over it and made my own buttie. Very confusing not knowing what a cheese sandwich is!

Very nice service and food. Restaurant is done up nicely in an orderly fashion. Only negatives would be that the portion sizes are pretty small and it is pretty pricey.

We went there on Sunday afternoon to get some drinks in the sunshine, and it was just perfect on the tables outside. I liked the small selection of drinks and cocktails, not many but very tastefully selected. The staff was very nice too. The only downside was that they had stopped serving even snacks by 7 pm and on a gorgeous summery-like Sunday afternoon/evening, it's a shame that they don't offer that option by that time already, as we would've stayed much longer otherwise.

Great place to eat and meet with friends. Very welcoming and accommodating. And child friendly. So you and your partner-in-crime can take a break without worrying. 😁

Been a few times for breakfast which is always lovely. First time we went for evening meal, 3 out of 4 of us ordered the roasted lamb, we were all very disappointed. The Lamb was not roasted and was just like cheap minute steak, which for £20 is shocking. When we told them they offered us desserts on the house.

My Sister and I visited on Saturday for a late Lunch. We both had the same thing from menu Salt and pepper chicken burger. Which tbh looked lovely and tasted fine. However, neither of us ate anything else that day and both started tum upsets that night which got worse Sunday. Its Monday and I am now recovering but Sis is still suffering. I have been to Bloom before for drinks and service is great and atmosphere is lovely.

Perhaps a little pricier than other restaurants but the food was very good, good service and the staff are lovely. Would eat there again.

My mum’s 80th birthday was made so special by Bloom bar and bistro. The food was lovely, hot and reasonably priced, the room upstairs was a perfect cosy, intimate setting but the best thing about our experience was Claudia who looked after us so well!! She made sure every detail was perfect and everybody had everything they needed. I’ve really never had such good service. Everybody was impressed! Thanks for a wonderful night!

I attended a baby shower on the 17th & I couldn't believe how lovely the food was! Perfectly cooked & presented. The staff were so lovely & helpful. When leaving, the car of the mum of the mum to be needed jump starting, I went in asking if anyone could do this for us, we had the jump cables & my car just no knowledge on how to do it. Luckily enough the chef was kind enough to sort this out for us so quickly & with a smile, even though it started raining! Thank you & I will be back!

First time to this Bistro, as a meeting of friends not seen since the Pandemic, and we were absolutely thrilled. The decor is lovely, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. And the "Reindeer Fuel" cocktail was to die for. !!

Came here on a Saturday had breakfast and it was quite rowdy with my partner a 16 seated table with a loud party of Girls in the middle under the flowers I was expecting a better experience to be honest staff seam to be taking more interest in them than us couldn’t hear myself think I asked the waitress to do a separate bill at the end she declined also was quite rude when I ask her how much things where she clearly didn’t have a professional manner and said she didn’t know the prices she was so stupid considering she works there , breakfast was mediocre to be honest sausages where quite bulky and wasn’t given mushrooms instead extra tomatoes which I didn’t like average fair to be honest May return again but my expectations where far higher for this place considering all the good reviews , sorry guys👎 !

Went for breakfast with a group of friends and it was delicious! Service was excellent, place nicely decorated and clean and the staff were amazing. Definitely recommend this place and I’m going back to try their lunch and main menu.

Went for a birthday brunch with the ladies. Can't fault it, we booked a table and it was right under a lovely flower feature. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great selection of food. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast which was delicious, the sweet potatoe hash brown was so good. And the salt and pepper halloumi fries tasted amazing. Will definitely visit again.

Large group of 13 friends looking forward to a much needed day out. We all work for the NHS, so all needing a break, Bloom was recommended. The day was the 7th of May that was spoilt by one member of staff who appeared to find everything a problem. All of our party noticed this. Not sure if she was the manager. It was a shame as the rest of the staff were lovely and helpful with great food. Not sure we would go back again.

Went as part of a party of 8 and because we were a large number we were asked to pre order our meal, which was fine but when we got there we still had to wait over 30 minutes for for starters to be served which was a bit of a let down. The staff did apologise and said they were serving a large party upstairs first but were were a bit disappointed. The rest of the meal went well, the food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. I would definitely go back again.

Nice friendly staff , nice surroundings . Steak sandwich was delicious however the chunky chips left a bit to be desired ! They were not cooked correctly , fat probably too hot causing outside to be overcooked and too dark . Could have been so much better ! Coleslaw a bit lacklustre and small portion .

Brought my daughter for breakfast on a Saturday morning it wasn’t to busy but it did pick up while we where there. My daughter mentioned a couple of times she was cold and I did think it was slightly on the cold side inside. Breakfast was lovely but the plates where freezing so food went cold very quickly too. Other than then no issues lovely inside and oat milk latte was really nice.

We booked Bloom bar and Bistro for my son's 21st birthday on 08/01/22. We has visited a few places up Allerton Road for something to eat before making our selection. We were offered the chance to have the private room upstairs for our party of 17 and after viewing the room decided it would be perfect for what we wanted. We received the menu on line and passed in our pre order the Monday before the meal. The night of the 8th was fantastic the food was amazing all arriving at once with no body having to wait. Loads of friendly staff available to help with drinks orders and anything extra we required. We have received many compliments from friends and family to say how much they enjoyed the evening. Well done to the Management and staff from Bloom for making our sons 21st a night to remember. We plan to visit again soon.

Sunday 12th December - absolutely beautiful Christmas lunch. Chose the lamb - cooked to perfection. All the trimmings so tasty. Gorgeous pudding of chocolate mousse and creme brulee to finish. All in all excellent value for money. Lovely service from staff. Great ambience. Would highly recommend.

Had really nice food here with good veggie options and really nice staff. The inside is nice and cozy. The drinks were a little expensive, £5 for a pint and the only beer on tap wasn't great but the white sangria I opted for was surprisingly nice. Great food, could do better on the beers but the staff and atmosphere make up for it.

Just had my daughter's baby shower at Bloom. Afternoon tea was lovely and Charlotte and staff helped to make everything run smoothly. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of having an event there. Thank you once again Charlotte.

We booked the upstairs for 25 of our family, the place was lovely, the staff were fantastic and the manager made sure everything was to our liking. We sent over a pre-order for the food and everything came out very quickly, and to all the right people. The only feedback I got was how good the food and place were. Would definitely recommend a visit, as we were on a Saturday we were also treated to the live music.

We visited with friends on Sunday for breakfast. Beautiful decor and spotlessly clean. The staff and kitchen were extremely accommodating to our fussy requests, I didn't fancy anything on the menu so asked for something different which they did no problem and they even cooked my partner something off the lunch menu. Our friend has a nut allergy and the waiter checked everything through with the kitchen too. Thank you so much!! Our food was delicious and well presented and the service was fast and attentive. I went here today for a baby shower and I will not return. The venue itself is pretty and the room we had was decorated beautifully but the food we had was disgusting. We paid £23 each for afternoon tea. What we received was quite frankly daylight robbery. We had a tray with one barmcake cut into quarters with a tiny piece of steak on and no butter or marg, 4 finger sized pieces of brown bread with tuna, 4 finger sized wraps with halloumi and four quarters of barmcake with a tiny piece of chicken! That was a tray between for 4 people! Then the cakes arrived. 4 tiny pieces of millionaire shortcake, 4 french fancies ... one was the obvious one out here because 3 were lilac and one was bright orange and I think Mr Kipling was working on that day because it was clearly one of his Halloween specials! We had 4 scones with one shot glass sized pot of whipped cream ( not even clotted) and 2 shot glass sized pots of jam and that was all for 4 people. We also had a glass of prosecco. No one was asked if they wanted tea or coffee even though some of us where driving. The bread was stale and dry and everyone left it as it was so inedible and the quality of the cakes were not the best or even close (apart from the Mr Kipling one). I don't think that £23 is a fair price for that!! I will definitely not be returning to or recommending this venue! EDIT Thank you for your response which does not give me an option to reply but slander is when something is a lie and I do not tell lies. The bread was stale and the french fancy was Mr Kiplings and the cream was not clotted cream. Apart from the afternoon tea everything was brilliant.

Couldn't fault Bloom great variety of food and it is delicious. The staff are helpful and friendly the Manager was great always asking if everything was ok and if anything was needed. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We have visited bloom a few times as we only live down the road from the restaurant. That said we don't just keep returning because it's so close for us, we return because every time we visit we can't fault the place from the friendly staff especially the manager she is outstanding always making sure you have everything you need. Now to the food ... They have never let us down there either with a good variety on the menu I think now we have almost tried every main course and each one has been fantastic. If you are looking for somewhere to eat with a great atmosphere Great food and hosts that make you feel welcome the I would definitely recommend bloom 😁

DO NOT COME HERE FOR AFTERNOON TEA!!! I came here today in a large group for a baby shower & i am absolutely appalled with 1. The service we received.. Not once were we offered a drink, therefore having to walk up & down the stairs to the bar 2. what we actually received, a small halloumi wrap, one tiny bite of a tuna sandwich, two quarters of a barm cake (stale & not buttered) with the smallest amount of filling…. One of them being a grey piece of gristly steak (that I wouldn’t even serve to my dog) & the other a slither of chicken breast. Now lets move on to the cakes … ‘MR KIPLING HALLOWEEN SPECIAL FRENCH FANCY’ bright orange!! Placed next to three cute lilac fancies (very dry sponge inside) & we were somehow expected not to notice, a rock hard scone with whipped cream served in the place of clotted cream (one tiny jar between 4 of us) & a millionaire shortbread, this was the best thing there & even that left a lot to be desired. No tea or coffee was served or even offered to us. The decor & space provided was nice but i would never come here again, absolute rip off! £23 you should be wearing balaclavas, absolute robbery! EDIT - reply to your response - the bread was infact stale & my review is an independent review based on what I received & my opinion - also i notice that you did not respond to the fact we were served mr kipling halloween french fancies or the fact that you are serving squirty cream as a substitute for clotted cream? If you do have a lady who supplies your cakes then she is making a mockery of your business by supplying snidey shop bought cakes! I am also intrigued to how you came up with the pricing based on what you are offering because I’ve been to many places for afternoon tea & never experienced anything quite as shocking to be honest - I wasn’t even offered a cup of tea & i was driving so unable to drink prosecco, at no point was I asked or even receive any communication from your staff! I really hope you can improve in this area

By far the worst afternoon tea I have ever seen in my life! For what we got for £23 a head was actually quite comical! 2 1/4 of a stale barm cake each, one with gristly steak and another with a tiny piece of chicken, a small wrap with halloumi on which was overcooked and a tiny finger sized tuna sandwich. On a cake stand we got a dry scone each, a Halloween special french fancy and a tiny piece of millionaire shortcake. This definitely was not worth £23 EACH! Would not recommend at all!

A group of us went here for afternoon tea, well what can I say room was lovely, that's about it afternoon tea was APPALLING, £23 each not per couple EACH, what we got was 2 quarters of a barm which was more bread than filling a tuna mayo finger sandwich which was the size of a thumb never mind a finger and half a halloumi roll, the cakes left a lot to be desired Mr Kipling french fancys dried scones with spray cream in a shot glass and a shot glass amount with the same of jam and a quarter of a millionaire shortcake absolutely DISGUSTING, also bread was that stale you could throw it at a wall , I never use these review sites but in this instance I felt I had no choice. My daughter complained to be told "oh I'll let them know" no apologies no feedback nothing was also given a small glass of prosecco which I didn't want or my daughter as was driving but was not given the choice of tea we had to buy are own. Do not go here for afternoon tea I read reviews beforehand and thought it was probably a one off comment but believe me it's not, total waste of money 😡

This afternoon tea isn’t even worthy of a star 👎🏼 Just returned from this venue for a baby shower. The room was lovely and was a great place to host the event. The food and service however was a huge let down. There were 23 of us and we were sat in the room upstairs. Nobody asked us if we would like to order a drink, not even once in 4.5hrs we were there. We had to go downstairs to the bar to place our orders. The plates and cake stands were cleared from the table after after 3 or so hours. The food was diabolical. Each cake stand looked as dreadful as the next. The picture of the cake stand was to be shared between four people and the plate of food was what was up for grabs per person from the food board they serve. The millionaire shortbread was edible but, surprisingly, there were no takers for the Mr Kipling Halloween cake! The sandwiches were disgusting, there was a thumb of steak, chicken and bacon and the buns were stale. The halloumi was dry and overcooked, it was hard to even distinguish what is was. The size of the tuna sandwich was absolutely hilarious. One of our party brought to the attention of the waitress the issue with the sandwiches, she shrugged it off and said she would let the kitchen know. £23 for the worst attempt at afternoon tea I’ve ever seen.

Came here today for afternoon tea with a large group and I am really disappointed in what we got. I have seen a recent review here stating they were served mr Kipling cakes and they were not wrong! Not just any mr Kipling cake but a bright orange halloween special french fancy! The sandwiches were awful 1/4 of a barm each with 1 piece of diced chicken in the middle same with the steak one small piece of steak on a stale 1/4 piece of a barm! The bread was left by most of the party that attended. For the price we paid £23 a head this was disgusting. It’s a shame because the place itself was beautifully decorated for the occasion but the food let it down big time!
