Could have given zero star if that’s an option. We went there in September for dinner. Ordered food from Little India, waited for 30 minutes, and found out that they hadn’t even started preparing the order (30 minutes after they received the order &💰!!!). When asked they said it needed another 10-15 minutes, so we decided to leave and ask for a refund. They immediately agreed and promised that refund was processed. But it’s been more than one month, we received nothing. We even wrote to GPO to ask for update on this refund request on 01/10, heard NOTHING back from the team yet, not even an acknowledgment of having received the email or a promise to look into this. Have never had such bad experience in the UK. Massively disappointed with the service and the way customers were treated. 避雷吧,一整个大无语。

Good old fashioned locals pub in the heart of the city. Good beers, always a good crowd with a mixture of regulars and city visitors. Saturday night is always a good night with Steve the dj hosting the karaoke. Staff are nice. Top pub!

Great hidden gem. We booked in advance as i don't think you can walk in. You enter through a phone box and are taken downstairs. It's only a small venue but it has great music and a good atmosphere. The cocktails are fab and unusual. Be aware it does take a while to get your cocktails, but we didn't mind as it was busy and the music was good.

Needed a quick place for lunch before our train. Saw this place on the taxi ride to the train station, walked all the way back to try this place. 100% worth the walk. We got the fried spring roll to start with and the beef and chicken pho. Absolutely delicious, the food came out in rapid time and was hot and tasty. Would definitely come back again.

Middle aged women with glasses behind the counter didn’t have a clue what she was doing told me she couldn’t warm a pice of cake up in the microwave because of “cross contamination” when there is no raw food prepared on site everything is precooked and sent into the shop absolute simpleton

We called early evening and there were about 15 people in there. I went to the bar and ordered 2 pints and whilst I was waiting, the bar maid sneezed (and without being rude) she sneezed all over her hand. She walked over and wiped it on a blue towel then carried on serving. I waited for my pint to settle which was a good inch below the level, I asked her to top it up and she wasn’t very happy but did so. I sat down and then sang a couple of songs on the karaoke and as I was doing so, I noticed that there was a lady standing halfway behind the bar who was Vaping. Also, when I finished singing, the DJ was also standing there on the stage Vaping as well. I actually thought that it was against the law to smoke or vape in public houses? I’ll certainly think twice about calling there again. 😡

As is often the case when travelling, I discovered Phillpotts on Brunswick Street, Liverpool (close to Pier Head) by accident and ended up visiting on both days I spent in the area. Superb surroundings, a first class breakfast and warm Liverpudlian welcome await. Nice one!

In the interests of honesty, I hve to say that we initially only nipped in to The Saddle because I needed the loo and it was close by. That said, on entering, we found a lovely, old-school pub and were made to feel more than welcome by Kelly, the best barmaid in the World. We ended up staying for over an hour, before we had to leave and felt like we'd made a genuine friend. Absolutely cracking pub and we're looking forward to coming back so we can carry on our conversatrion with Kelly.
