Old Post Office in Liverpool

Local pub. With excellent prices. It was surprisingly cheap compared to other pubs. We went there the next day.

Tremendous old school pub. Brilliant staff and a very friendly crowd. Very affordable drinks too.

Found this pub by pure change last night...walked in to a nice friendly pub . Nice beer nice cider , the gents toilets need looking after but my wife said the ladies was fine..the bar man was great and talked to everyone. The locals were nice and kept us chatting all night..

Caminando por School Lane mi hermano gemelo y yo decidimos dejarnos caer en The Old Post Office Pub , hemos estado aquí antes en muchas ocasiones, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita. Me encanta el aspecto de este pub, el interior es magnífico, dos habitaciones, sala de copas principal dominado por un bar de madera maciza, decoración pub y muebles en todo, pantallas grandes para disfrutar del deporte y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub, es un gran pub para relajarse. Estábamos aquí un miércoles por la tarde, pub estaba ocupado con un gran ambiente, conseguimos cervezas de Carling Brewery, estos se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones siendo helado frío y espumoso y por suerte logramos conseguir una mesa en la sala de atrás donde nos relajamos y planeamos el día siguiente mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Mi cerveza estaba realmente buena, me gusta bastante esta cerveza , dorada, ligera y con lúpulo, rebosante de sabor sobre todo cuando se sirve helada fría, no es de extrañar que este pub sea tan popular entre las cervezas servidas en esta buena condición. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cada otra visita a The Old Post Office Pub tuvimos un momento muy agradable. El Old Post Office Pub es fácil de ubicar a lo largo de School Lane, no demasiado lejos del famoso edificio Bluecoat. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a domingo, abierto de 10 am. En mi opinión, un pub bien vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

Cuando visitamos aquí tuvimos unas copas de cerveza Carling lagers que eran de primera clase y estaban muy bien de precio. A warm welcome from this very local pub, however, venue a little worn and had someone going around trying to sell cigarettes in bulk who also stole one of our drinks - I realise it's hard for the pub to control such things but I've never had that ever happen elsewhere.

This was a superb pub for drinking, remaining open in the city centre to get drinks coming very close to midnight! The design has a classic Victorian aesthetic, curtains are stylish and the lighting has a vintage feel too. Counter is neatly presented, seating is comfortable when I had a classic Strongbow Dark Fruits and toilets were very clean!

Visited after a Liverpool match. I could really feel the local pub atmosphere. They kept playing sports channels on TV. I was able to talk to many people here. We are especially grateful to the two old men who willingly bought us beer while we were wearing Liverpool uniforms! The atmosphere here is truly unforgettable. One more thing I can't forget is the incredible smell. This could be said to be the only drawback. There is a musty smell throughout the store.

Probably the only city centre pub that doesn’t employ doormen. Seems to be picking up again under new management. Bar staff respectful and attentive. Entertainment could be better. Maybe a DJ. Too many kareoke bars these days.

As soon as I walked in, the staff were friendly and having a wee chat while the punts were being poured. Other folks/regulars were friendly too. They have live music which was enjoyable.

Had a quick pint as the bar was closing, staff clearly felt sorry for us as we were drenched. Thanks, really appreciated letting us have a pint, and the Guinness and Hobgoblin were superb.

Lovely old pub away from the madness of town

We regularly call in this wonderful place whenever we visit Liverpool. As it was my wife's birthday, we went with friends in a Saturday lunchtime. The venue was reasonably busy and had it's normal warm welcoming atmosphere. We stayed for a couple of hours enjoying the banter and general ambience of the place. A special mention for Emma who helped make things go smoothly. Well worth a visit! We will definitely be back!

After visiting the famous and beautiful Bluecoat building I decided to drop into The Old Post Office Pub . This is a really well established back street pub ,it's been around for ever ,I love the look of this pub ,it's traditional ,interior is cool ,great looking serving bar ,pubby decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and there's lots of seating options ,it's just a great pub to drop into. Latest visit ,I ordered a pint of lager ,served in pristine condition ,I luckily managed to grab a table were I chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. Lager served in here is spot on ,iced cold and sparkling and on a hot afternoon a totally delicious and refreshing beer indeed. I moved on after my beer and as on every other visit to here I had a great time. The Old Post Office Pub is easy to locate along School Lane on Old Post Office Place. Open from 11am daily ,it's a pub to most definitely check out if you're in this area of Liverpool.

The staff at the pub were very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, with a feeling of camaraderie amongst the customers. The space was spacious, meaning it wasn't too crowded and uncomfortable. The pints were of a very high quality, with a great taste and just the right amount of froth. It was clear that a lot of care had gone into the preparation. All in all, it was a great experience.

The Old Post Office Pub is a pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip into Liverpool City Centre I take . This is a traditional pub ,the interior is lovely ,a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room ,pubby decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options ,it's a very cosy pub indeed . We were here on a Thursday afternoon ,this pub was busy with a great vibe ,we ordered a guinness each ,these were served in perfect condition ,poured in the correct manner and even allowing time for the all important guinness settle,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our guinness. My guinness was really good ,a thick and creamy guinness that was so cold and refreshing ,it was just so good being in such a fantastic pub enjoying a really good guinness. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Old Post Office Pub is easy to locate along School Lane on Old Post Office Place. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,open from 11am. Well worth seeking out if you're in this area of the city.

Bartender was a bit surly, and I'm sure I could see anthrax growing on the walls and ceilings of the men's toilets, in addition to the puddles on the floor. Not for me.
