Found this pub by pure change last night...walked in to a nice friendly pub . Nice beer nice cider , the gents toilets need looking after but my wife said the ladies was fine..the bar man was great and talked to everyone. The locals were nice and kept us chatting all night..

It was one of my pubs to go to when I was a teenager...many years ago. It was like stepping back in time visiting there. Bit of nostalgia.

Walking down School Lane my twin brother and I decided to drop into The Old Post Office Pub ,been here before on many occasions, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this pub, the interior is superb, two roomed, main drinking room dominated by a solid wood serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings throughout, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Wednesday afternoon, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we got beers from Carling Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we luckily managed to get a table in the back room were we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. My beer was really good, I quite like this beer ,golden, light and hoppy, bursting with taste especially when served freezing cold, its hardly surprising that this pub is so popular with beers served in this good a condition. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Old Post Office Pub we had a very pleasant time. The Old Post Office Pub is easy to locate along School Lane, not too far from the famous Bluecoat building. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 10am. In my opinion, a pub well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Old Post Office is a fantastic Victorian era pub on Old Post Office Place that offer an excellent drink's range and was just one of the many pubs and bars me and my twin brother visited while in the city centre. Housed in a superb building'this pub has a traditional pub interior with superb fixtures and features and excellent seating options throughout the pub's whole interior and on our visit it was rammed in here. When we visited here we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were really well priced.A fantastic pub in a superb area and it's only a couple of minutes walk away from the train station at Central.(This is my 3rd review of The Old Post Office on Old Post Office Place). A warm welcome from this very local pub, however, venue a little worn and had someone going around trying to sell cigarettes in bulk who also stole one of our drinks - I realise it's hard for the pub to control such things but I've never had that ever happen elsewhere.

This was a superb pub for drinking, remaining open in the city centre to get drinks coming very close to midnight! The design has a classic Victorian aesthetic, curtains are stylish and the lighting has a vintage feel too. Counter is neatly presented, seating is comfortable when I had a classic Strongbow Dark Fruits and toilets were very clean!

Need to update your website , went for lunch today , only to be told they have not done food for at least 6 yrs , website shows the full menu ?

Was Ace when they sold Scran. So, it's basically gone downhill since then.

Excellent place well worth a visit

lovely friendly pub with nice bar staff and really cheap drinks. Free sandwiches on the bar which i thought was a nice touch. All round pleasant experiance and will be visiting again soon.

Visited after a Liverpool match. I could really feel the local pub atmosphere. They kept playing sports channels on TV. I was able to talk to many people here. We are especially grateful to the two old men who willingly bought us beer while we were wearing Liverpool uniforms! The atmosphere here is truly unforgettable. One more thing I can't forget is the incredible smell. This could be said to be the only drawback. There is a musty smell throughout the store.

Probably the only city centre pub that doesn’t employ doormen. Seems to be picking up again under new management. Bar staff respectful and attentive. Entertainment could be better. Maybe a DJ. Too many kareoke bars these days.

Very good welcoming pub ,staff are really friendly ,great service ,something for everyone ,food ,reasonable drinks ,sports on tv and live entertainment ,been a few times lately always well looked after ,worth a visit👍

As soon as I walked in, the staff were friendly and having a wee chat while the punts were being poured. Other folks/regulars were friendly too. They have live music which was enjoyable.

Had a quick pint as the bar was closing, staff clearly felt sorry for us as we were drenched. Thanks, really appreciated letting us have a pint, and the Guinness and Hobgoblin were superb.

Lovely old pub away from the madness of town

We regularly call in this wonderful place whenever we visit Liverpool. As it was my wife's birthday, we went with friends in a Saturday lunchtime. The venue was reasonably busy and had it's normal warm welcoming atmosphere. We stayed for a couple of hours enjoying the banter and general ambience of the place. A special mention for Emma who helped make things go smoothly. Well worth a visit! We will definitely be back!

After visiting the famous and beautiful Bluecoat building I decided to drop into The Old Post Office Pub . This is a really well established back street pub ,it's been around for ever ,I love the look of this pub ,it's traditional ,interior is cool ,great looking serving bar ,pubby decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and there's lots of seating options ,it's just a great pub to drop into. Latest visit ,I ordered a pint of lager ,served in pristine condition ,I luckily managed to grab a table were I chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. Lager served in here is spot on ,iced cold and sparkling and on a hot afternoon a totally delicious and refreshing beer indeed. I moved on after my beer and as on every other visit to here I had a great time. The Old Post Office Pub is easy to locate along School Lane on Old Post Office Place. Open from 11am daily ,it's a pub to most definitely check out if you're in this area of Liverpool.

Really well run pub,staff brilliant,,10 of us were on a works reunion (BICC PRESCOT)on friday 30th june,there was a guy singing and playing guitar 🎸, I asked him would he play the beatles (hey jude)Paul McCartney,,he did and he was brilliant,,very talented guy top man,,,kevin

The staff at the pub were very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, with a feeling of camaraderie amongst the customers. The space was spacious, meaning it wasn't too crowded and uncomfortable. The pints were of a very high quality, with a great taste and just the right amount of froth. It was clear that a lot of care had gone into the preparation. All in all, it was a great experience.

The Old Post Office Pub is a pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip into Liverpool City Centre I take . This is a traditional pub ,the interior is lovely ,a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room ,pubby decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options ,it's a very cosy pub indeed . We were here on a Thursday afternoon ,this pub was busy with a great vibe ,we ordered a guinness each ,these were served in perfect condition ,poured in the correct manner and even allowing time for the all important guinness settle,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our guinness. My guinness was really good ,a thick and creamy guinness that was so cold and refreshing ,it was just so good being in such a fantastic pub enjoying a really good guinness. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Old Post Office Pub is easy to locate along School Lane on Old Post Office Place. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,open from 11am. Well worth seeking out if you're in this area of the city.

Bartender was a bit surly, and I'm sure I could see anthrax growing on the walls and ceilings of the men's toilets, in addition to the puddles on the floor. Not for me.

Great local boozer to watch the football

Went there on a monday afternoon, and of course since this is liverpool the place was packed with the usual alcoholics, because what else is there to do on a monday. Staff are nice but the male bathrooms horrific, i swear those 'Saw' movies too inspiration from this bathroom for their set design.

Nice friendly staff but toilets not nice

We come to the post office most times we visit liverpool and the staff are always so friendly. This evening though we came in after a bad experience elsewhere. Colette was so comforting and sol was not only a fast tender but also a listening and understanding ear. Cannot fault this place
