The best restaurants in Copeland North West

I'm struggling with 1 star, we ate here last night Mon 24/2/25 the food was inedible. I'm surprised any chef who has any pride in his work would allow such food out of the kitchen. We waited 15mins from ordering to table. That should have told us all we needed to know. I ordered the ribs which were luke warm and the chips looked like they had been sat most of the day n refried to warm them through 🤢 about the only thing that looked fresh was the salad. The other half ordered the steak & ale pie which was alright according to him but the chips were in the same sorry state. I didn't eat my meal and couldn't wait to leave ☹️ It goes without saying we will not be returning.

I don't know where to start with this disaster. First, the delivery was painfully late – like, “I could’ve walked to the restaurant faster than they drove here” late. I’m convinced the food came from a far-off land... and by that, I mean the back of a delivery van that hadn’t been cleaned since the 90s. When the food finally arrived, it looked like it had been thrown into the box by someone who hated their life. The fries? Soggy and sad, probably as a result of being undercooked and overcooked at the same time. The burger? It looked like it was assembled by someone who didn’t care if I had taste buds or not – the bun was stale, the patty was a sad, gray lump, and don’t even get me started on the "cheese" that looked more like plastic. The drink was the best part, because at least it was something I could actually drink without gagging. I could’ve sworn I was eating cardboard with a side of disappointment. Next time, I’ll skip the "takeaway" and take a trip to somewhere that knows what they're doing. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. In fact, I think my dog might refuse to eat it out of protest. Avoid this place unless you’re looking for an experience that makes you question all of your life choices.

On entering the premises we were met by a female member of staff who seemed quite put out we had arrived. Have you booked a table she said. No we would just like a drink. Oh well you will have to sit at the bar not a table. We were served by very miserable staff who looked like they would rather be somewhere else.

We pre-booked to go for my birthday. On arrival we were shown to one of the tables with high chairs. I have a problem with my knee so this would have been painful. The staff kindly moved us even though it was almost full. The food was good and the staff were very attentive and friendly. I'd definitely recommend pre booking as we went on a Friday evening.

Due to certain eating issues, my wife purchased childrens sandwiches, these were very dry, the margarine / butter was spread very thin and covered about 50% of the bread. Not impressed.

Miserable staff,foreign girl on the counter barely spoke a word of English,had to get another assistant to help with order.the bacon on the chicken bun was not cooked the chicken was tasteless fries were just warm.The meal looked nothing like the brochure picture Will not be returning.

Same people use this pub. Bit rough. Ok when pissed and passing later on in the night. Prices reasonable but won’t be returning

cold by the time it arrived, nearly 2 hours late, whats the point i wasnt hungry anymore so it went in the bin waste of money, food used to be good but in the last year or so its got worse, never again

Probably the worse breakfast ive ever had...the food was cold and tasteless and dry...a complete waste of money. I will never ever come back here for food...and the staff didnt seem to care when i complained, thought you were better than this Morrisons.

I’ve just been Macdonalds in Whitehaven , sat in drive through land for about 6 mins with no other cars waiting only me !!! Then ordered two plain cheese burgers for my kids with diet cokes and a big tasty meal to be told we don’t sell big tasty tonight just mc chicken crispy eye ok one of them be fine . Got to till cost me 14.69 got food it was stone cold freezing cold and that’s not exasperated it was really cold then my girls plain cheese burgers were not plain cheese they had dressing on them witch is ridiculous really got my mc crispy out the box it was cold and had no mayonnaise just lettuce box was ripped as well looked like the box had been kicked round the floor while waiting t the window for my food the lad was standing scratching him self down his trousers abit silly really considering the nature of the industry ridiculous Bring back Lee green the old manager standards now since he’s been gone are shocking place is embarrassing rip off so I spent 15 quid and it all went in the bin JOKE a refund would be nice and as for the large fries I no this is a joke as they were all laffing about 6 freezing g cold crunchy fries in a box

Don't like to be negative. Ordered a family meal very disappointed ! Just supermarket aldi I'd say bought food and boxed up ordered mac and cheese and with it saying baked on the menu thought great ! It was anything but it was in a cheese sauce real mac n cheese should have toasted crumbs and baked cheese on top. The garlic bread ordered I expected it as pizza form just shop baguette. The chicken on kids meal was a aldi burger sliced not even home made batter gougons, very disappointed and a total waste of money. Also me and another family member has a bad bowel shortly after eating it. Nothing like the pictures on the online menu which was the reason I decided to order

Absolutely disgusted with this branch of dominoes Pizzas arrived cold and burnt and not the 1st time this has happened Sent the pizza back they sent me another one which was also burnt they apologised and sent a couple of free items To little to late as I have complained in the past about the quality of pizzas from this branch and delivery driver doing a u turn in my drive nearly hitting my car So this is the last straw now I refuse to order any food from this branch of dominoes ever again Public avoid this branch As it’s the worst dominoes in the country
