We can’t recommend this unpretentious cafe enough. Restaurant quality food beautifully prepared and presented in generous proportions . The friendly Little Farmhouse Cafe is a spotless & cosy gem of a venue in the centre of Farndon. The quality of the food ,friendliness of the staff and the immaculately clean venue clearly reflect cthe ethos of the owners. We have visited several times- each as satisfying as the last. Booking imight be worthwhile to guarantee that you won’t be disappointed- it’s difficult to predict how busy it will be.

This is a piece of gold. It has 5 Star quality in what it provides which is: beautifully cooked Food ( both thought and quality goes in to providing flavour ) and the Pub itself has the preserves of an original exquisite bygone era full of interest and atmosphere. Unspoiled by modernisation. We had Sunday Lunch which couldn't be faulted . Looking forward to returning in all its seasons as lovely tranquil outside area . Beats most Sunday Lunches by a long chalk.

The food was scrumptious, we enjoyed two types of lamb curry and there an explosion of flavours in these dishes. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the service was fantastic. We thoroughly recommend this wonderful restaurant and looking forward to visiting again soon!

Absolutely fantastic steak and chips. Presentation appeared poor but taste was fantastic. Chocolate oblivion also very good. Service excellent. One criticism. I hate seeing a Service Charge on a bill Would rather reward good service with a tip earned. What a pity so many establishments now automatically add a service charge to the bill.

The pretty views outside on the patio area overlooking the lake make this cafe a delightful venue on hot sunny summer day or cosy inside on a wintry day. We hadn't been to the cafe since it was taken over. The inside decor has had a freshen up with comfy seating and lovely warm colours. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We only had coffee on this trip, but the food looked delicious and there were plenty of homemade cakes. The caravan site is very nice for a gentle stroll around the lakes. The site itself would be perfect for a holiday and has an open heated swimming pool on site and is close to lots of amentities.

If you're looking for a good spa experience, this isn't it! We stayed overnight, they didn't provide us with toiletries, bath robe or slippers which are all standard requirements. The brunch staff were snappy and unhelpful, they didn't want to help. As soon as it hit 1pm, we was kicked out of the spa, we wasn't allowed to finish our coffee. You definitely do not get the service you pay for.

We stopped off on our way back to Wales. The service and food were excellent. I can very much recommend the gammon steak with pineapple, mushroom, egg and tomato on top. I would not normally order that, but it was spot on. Thank you to the staff and chef for a superb lunch.

We came here after a morning in Carden Spa. We were greeted by lovely staff and a warm, cosy atmosphere - open fires were stocked and crackling away, frames fill the walls and the furniture is quirky and comfy. We chose lunch from the classic pub section and it was outstanding - we stayed for desert which was lovely and would definitely recommend the apple strudel if it’s on! If you’re looking for a cosy countryside pub with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere this is the place to go - we will definitely be returning.

As we have family in Farndon we popped into this cafe for some lunch on the way. We were greeted by I suspect was the owner.I asked her for a menu and it seemed to be a problem that she had to tell us what was available instead of having printed menus on the table.I must say the lady is so unfriendly and appears to be quite rude and snappy. The coffee was lovely and the food is a bit overpriced for what you receive ,also we had a long wait as she was serving alone and cooking. The cafe lacks atmosphere and it takes nothing to be friendly and polite to your customers if you want them to return. We couldn't wait to leave as she made me and my husband feel we were an inconvenience and really this lady needs to create a more welcoming environment, due to this we will not return.

Visited Easter Sunday (family come all the time) Arrived just after breakfast rush and just before the decent of the bank holiday cyclists. Coffee, as always lovely. Tried a vegan blueberry muffin which was lush :) Thanks
