What a lovely evening. Fantastic friendly atmosphere, we were accommodated on a busy night. The team were fantastic, worked incredibly hard to make sure things ran smoothly for everybody. Food was delicious. All done with a smile and really high standards all round. Would definitely recommend.

Visited with friends whilst on holiday in North Wales and really glad we did. Nice and quiet, as might be expected at Monday lunchtime, nice ambience, good service and excellent food. Definitely worth a visit.

Four of us visited on Saturday afternoon, it was a lovely day with lots of people sitting outside and nice and cool inside. We had pre-booked and the table we had requested was waiting for us. We were attended to by an extremely nice young lady called Millie who was very good at her job. The food was first class all nicely presented and cooked to perfection. No complaints about anything. Highly recommended.

Second visit this month and LOVE everything about this place. My find of the decade. Beautifully prepared and served food. Fantastic friendly and cheerful staff. Enquired about some wine and the manager came to talk to us.

Waited 40 minutes for food, when it arrived the fish was overcooked ( burnt), I should have complained but didn’t want to embarrass the company I was with.

Have been to the Hare multiple times and have always found the food to be excellent. Dishes are always varied, of high quality and most importantly delicious. I also visit and like the Cholomondey Arms, Cock O Barton, Carden Arms, the Raven and the newly opened White Horse in Churton; however, pound for pound the Hare is my go to of these as it has the best balance of high quality food and a lovely atmosphere. Staff also very friendly.

Had a great welcome on arrival and shown to our table. Menus provided as our drinks were sorted. We skipped starters then went straight into the mains. One had the beef which was perfectly cooked and presented with ample accompaniments. One had the beef burger was, again, delicious and the final member of our party enjoyed four smaller plates from a choice of (I think) which was a great idea and really enjoyed. Only 2 opted for desert but when their choices —- panna cottas —— arrived, the third asked the waitress to grab a further as they were absolutely fabulous. Food was great, place is lovely with ample parking to the rear and the staff were a delight, friendly and helpful. Whats not to love? See you soon!

Wednesday Date Night. We Fancied Steak! And we decided to take our very placid Frenchie Ruby to the dog friendly pub. We walked in and both corners of the half moon bench were taken so we walked into the next area, sat on a two seater table, got comfy, whilst the other half was getting drinks, a Manager came over to me and said we couldn’t sit in this room with a Dog, although it was empty. The only area we can sit is opposite the bar but it was too cramped and not suitable for dining with a dog! So we sat on bar stools with our drinks whilst waiting for a table to become available. A couple with a dog sat nearest to the fire looked like they were leaving, but to my surprise, the Guy was now changed into Chefs Whites, bringing his partner a hot drink. (He was the Chef) We were browsing the menu and decided on our options, STEAK and still waiting for a table. The chefs partner was sat alone with her dog now on the bench cushion and she was eating jammy doggers with her drink!! By this time I was getting flustered as I was a customer wanting to order food with no suitable table to sit at? So I said to my other half come on let’s go to the Raven to eat. And we did and had a marvellous meal with 25% of main courses on a Wednesday. Perfect!

The staff were fantastic and welcoming . It was busy yet, they were helpful and understanding. Food was lovely, wine and whiskey recommended by the bartender topped off a fantastic night out . Would recommend!!

Absolutely love this pub, the staff are all so welcoming and friendly, it has such a lovely feel to it, a very special place. Food is excellent and the menu is varied, something for everyone. Service is brilliant. Quite a few outside tables are available on a very pretty patio. Can not recommend this place highly enough. We always book a table as it can get quite busy. Brilliant pub all round!

Ordered a large roast dinner for myself a small one for my son Roast Beef sold out understandably at 6pm , only other option roast pork very disappointing two small pieces of pork little veg , two roast potatoes and no apple sauce to accompany the pork . The waiter who was not great bought are meals out to the wrong table off they went back into the kitchen ! Five minutes later they re appeared luke warm not looking very appetising. I have taken a picture hopefully the Hare will agree this is definitely not the food offering they offer on a regular basis ? Half the plate was empty the pork tough with dried up and very little gravy ! .

£17.50 FOR FISH CHIPS AND Mushy PEAS. Very poor food for the price. 4 meals 6 drinks £102. Won't be going back in a hurry.

What a wonderful pub this is! We visited with friends for a lunchtime drink today, but ended up ordering 4 of the ‘tapas’ style small plates for a snack. Everything about this place was perfect, from the friendly welcome, great service, good beers and lovely food. The pub itself is beautifully furnished and comfortable, with plenty of attractive cushions and artwork around the walls. Sat in the window, with the sun pouring through, it really felt one one of those pubs where you could comfortable while away an afternoon. Sadly, we had places to be, but we will definitely be giving the full menu a try when we are next in the area. Highly recommended!

Came in on a Saturday early evening. Atmosphere was great but service was very poor. Not sure if understaffed but it was slow and not very personal. We were only a table of 4 but they got one of the beers wrong. Took 10 minutes to get the correct beer - I thought the wrong one might have been left to say sorry but it wasn’t. Not expected but would have been a nice touch. The food for the most part was very good quality and decent sized portions other than the chicken schnitzel. Not sure how you can charge £17-£18 for what is essentially a sliced chicken breast on a small Caesar side salad. If it was cheaper or in a salad section of the menu then maybe it could be justified but on it’s own with no potatoes it is not good value at all. All other main courses for the same price looked to be very good portions. Would still probably come back and just order something different as others really enjoyed their meal. Give the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were understaffed.

Exceptional service and exquisite food. This has to be a must for anyone wanting to enjoy a first class experience. Cannot recommend it highly enough. In a word Superb.
