The pretty views outside on the patio area overlooking the lake make this cafe a delightful venue on hot sunny summer day or cosy inside on a wintry day. We hadn't been to the cafe since it was taken over. The inside decor has had a freshen up with comfy seating and lovely warm colours. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We only had coffee on this trip, but the food looked delicious and there were plenty of homemade cakes. The caravan site is very nice for a gentle stroll around the lakes. The site itself would be perfect for a holiday and has an open heated swimming pool on site and is close to lots of amentities.

What a fantastic gem by a lovely lake. Fantastic food and friendly staff. Afternoon tea is home made and one of the best we have had. Highly recommended

We ordered a simple meal of beans on toast x2 & bacon brie & cranberry wrap. We were told 30minute wait which was okay cus the kids can play with toys. After 60minutes of waiting we asked about the meals. Told us their making them now and the delay was because they were under staffed. We counted 5 people working their, and ordinarily we have seen 2, so that was a lie. Other customers who ordered more complicated meals before us got theirs first and they only just decided to start making our food. 75 minutes in, the cafe was mostly empty and still no sign of our order. Another couple was waiting for 60minutes, saw another family who just arrived get their order first, and ask for refunds. Absolutely abysmal, it's one thing to feel cheated out of your money it's somthing else to feel cheated out of your own life.

Brilliant find, we were staying at a cottage nearby and drove past the camp side and cafe. Large concrete visitors car park, nice deck overlooking the lake. Plenty of outdoor seating. Dog friendly. We had breakfast, very comprehensive menu and about 25% cheaper than most chain restaurants. Very friendly team of staff, food ordered at the counter and brought to your table. Good coffee. Cooked breakfast decent portions and lovely sausages in a roll. Definitely worth a visit, we came on the Sunday of the bank holiday and not too busy

Popped out with a friend to try a new cafe we had seen, set within the boundary of a caravan park with good parking alongside a small lake. The setting is really nice and modern, unfortunately the weather was grim outside however the decked area looked great for the better days. We had already eaten breakfast so tried the coffee, which was freshly made and I had a Bakewell slice. Both were excellent, the cake selections all looked homemade and look forwards to trying more. The cafe is dog friendly and they can be taken inside and it looks like a really good place to stop off if your cycling too, there's plenty of place to prop up your bike and even a cycle rack. Looking at the menu the prices seemed mid range and there were quite a lot of staff in so guessing they can handle busy times however they had not long opened and maybe only 6 customers in whilst I was there.

We stumbled across the cafe after seeing a pavement sign and went for a light lunch. Lovely setting overlooking a small lake with geese and fishermen. Lovely sandwiches, all very fresh and great prices too. Would definitely recommend.

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.

Not religious at all but like other reviewers found this true OASIS when looking for refreshment in Chester Just great, lovely staff and clientele and great quality and value coffee and cakes... Interesting selection of books, gifts, cards etc Would use regularly if we lived locally Staff say they may have to relocate soon due to "commercial development of the site" Surely the Church which is not short of funds can provide an alternative venue for this wonderful place which probably does more for spreading the religious message than many more traditional churches etc...something in the Cathedral Precinct maybe?? Good luck to you all and God bless ( if it helps)
