The best restaurants serving British food in Farndon Cheshire West and Chester North West

Great venue Room was perfect Staff fantastic Food great Packed lunch as we had to leave before breakfast was a nice touch and delicious However, me and my male friends trip was tarnished by a group of local idiots First of all Shouting poofs followed by body checking my friend and Calling him out for being a thick geordie Completely unprovoked-I’m a lover not a fighter !! The bar maid handled the crowd of locals and told them to be quiet and they did pipe down eventualities-however I will Not stay here again as we are both left feeling like it was a local pub for local people Hosting a bunch a farmer boys looking for a fight And if the business owner continues to allow disruptive and abusive locals to drink there they are going to lose business -well certainly from me anyway ! Such a shame - as the girls who looked after us were great -and why should they have to put up with them either ?!

Amazing country pub, great atmosphere very friendly people and staff. Well worth the visit for lunch and will return for a evening visit soon

We recently booked the Gourmet Spa Retreat, which included four hours of spa access and a taster menu. The hotel and spa facilities were excellent, with friendly and polite staff contributing to a luxurious five-star atmosphere. The taster menu was delicious and well-executed. However, the experience was let down by inconsistent drink service across all bars. Despite a preference for table service, the wait times for drinks were unusually long. While this was manageable in Mulligans Bar during the taster menu, both the cocktail bar and The Vines Restaurant fell short. On multiple occasions, our food arrived before our drinks, which detracted from the premium dining experience we expected. Additionally, The Vines Restaurant itself was the only space I noticed without windows. In such a beautiful setting, this felt like a design oversight. Overall, a solid four-star experience. We left satisfied but felt there was room for improvement.

We visited on Christmas Eve and had a table in the bar which was very lively due to the live music but made it a bit hard to speak to each other! The Manager must’ve realised this as she offered us a table in the restaurant as soon as one became available. This was much quieter and we could still hear the music. The food was delicious and the service delightful - I wish we lived nearer.

POOR FOOD AND COLD AND THE BEER WASNT GREAT AND ITS NOT THE FRIST TIME WE BIN THERE AND GOT THE SAME COLD FOOD AND I WOULD NOT GO AGAIN

After a trip to Chester Zoo, we decided to go for food within walking distance of our BnB. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the steak and fries with beef dripping. Food was delicious and cooked to each of our preferences. Would highly recommend to anyone who's in the area. Great food, great staff, and great atmosphere.

Ordered the fish and chips at £17:50 I will let the picture tell the story it was honestly smaller than a kids meal and zero effort put into making it
