Excellent food with our waiter , I think his name was Craig , giving us exceptional service . Can’t wait to go back and have the portobello pizza.

First time visit. Pre booked meal as a present by someone else. The food, staff, location and service was top class. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top rated fine dining food at a reasonable price and service with a real smile.

Great brunch - really convenient and lovely atmosphere. Thought the veggie breakfast was superb! Would highly recommend.

On arrival we saw that about a quarter of the menu was crossed out, including drinks and food as they didn’t have them in. When we ordered we were also told 4 or 5 of the items we tried to order were also not available, and listening to other customers experience the same thing it must have been another a quarter that they didn’t have either. The food was fairly warm and we ordered the pork belly with honey thinking it would be a glaze of honey. It was covered in honey and after a couple of minutes it was rock solid and almost pulled one of my teeth out, not to mention didn’t move when the plate was turned upside down! The seats have no padding on and were very uncomfortable. The waitresses have a very limited knowledge of the menu as they didn’t know answers to many of the questions asked by myself or other customers regarding items off the menu, and had to go and check. This was all fairly early on a Saturday night, so I have no idea how so many items off the menu were unavailable. Excellent, flavoursome food, and value. Everything freshly prepared. Staff attentive, but not intrusive. Wide menu.

Lovely village location next to a beautiful ancient Parish Church and Norman Chapel on one side, and a small river on the other side (I think the River Bollin). Really great food and friendly service. Couldn't fault it.

Not reviewed for years and always had a positive experience so here goes. Called in for pre dinner drinks last week. Lovely ambience as always. Served by a young chap, very friendly. Also, he made an excellent couple of Aperols in the happy hour, which we appreciated. Sat outside at the back, possibly the best 'beer garden' in the Macclesfield area. Big umbrellas with heaters, unfortunately required in mid August.

Got us a table at short notice. Food nice, if a bit too full of chilli. Service not so great, told 'new staff'. Leaning over to place plates, not enough place settings. But it was packed so must be doing something right. We'll try again
