This is a great cafe on all fronts. I have eaten there many times over the years and the food quality, content, presentation and innovation are first class. The effort put in to maintain this standard by the owner and staff must be immense but the customers benefit - a rare thing to find these days And to top it all their Bloody Mary is awesome! Fantastic location, with parking. Room great and restaurant excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. We would deftly choose to stay another time and make it a longer trip.

I popped in for a mid-morning treat to take away. I was disappointed in the lack of choice - clearly there had been a rush for breakfast items and there were lots of gaps in the display. I chose an almond croissant which was £3.50. It was heavy, greasy, and the top came off from where it had been cut to spread the almond paste. I won't be buying from there again, which is a shame because the setting and location is lovely.
