Lovely little cafe and friendly efficient staff. Quality of the full English was great!

I booked a late lunchtime table for a birthday treat. Everywhere seemed nice and clean and tidy for the time of day. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Two of our party ordered burgers, The Diablo and The Deadwood Monster. Both were impressive looking burgers and went down well. They both had the chilli cheese chips, said they were very nice but could have done with a bit more of a 'kick' spice wise. I ordered the chicken waffle burger with bacon. Very nice, chicken was lovely but there was the smallest piece of bacon on the burger. Definitely not enough to have a bite of bacon with every mouthful. Onion rings were hot and crispy. We didn't order dessert as we were having birthday cake at home. Partner was slightly disappointed at the choice of draft beers, only two of them, my homemade lemonade was very tasty and refreshing. We did feel slightly rushed as from sitting down on arrival to being brought the bill, we were in the restaurant less than an hour and due to the time of day it wasn't even half full. However we have eaten here a couple of times now and always had good food so will probably come again.

Great lunch there, fantastic building, staff really friendly.

Great pub, family friendly, dog friendly, great selection of beers. Food was brilliant and very reasonably priced staff brill highly recommended.

Had 2 takeaways from here in the last month when passing through Nantwich on our boat. Both meals were ready at the collection time stated and were both delicious. Will definitely order from here again when we're in the area.

I had a complaint about food I'd purchased . I was not happy at all with a patronising reply and was left knowing that I will not purchase anything from them again

Not sure what’s happened but as the food used to be really good but unfortunately tjr food has gone downhill. We got a takeaway for 5 and only 1 dish was good. The crispy beef curry had mushy beef, fries were worse than oven cooked chips, these werent crispy at all and just tasted cheap. The burrito is essentially a wrap and wasn’t filling or flavoursome at all. The vegan noodles were really poor also. Its a shame as i used to really like it here!

Thank you Darren for looking after us on our wedding celebration this September. We chose the Black Lion as the room upstairs was ideal for our small party , I cannot thank the team enough for looking after us and the food was superb. Our guests left happy and there was such a a good feeling on the day ,it was just the icing on the cake we wanted,❤️ Thanking you again , Karen and Andrew

The best chippy in all the lands! The photos don’t do it justice (especially the one where some strange person has uploaded a photo of just the discarded batter from their fish, get a grip, no one wants to see your scraps).

Visited the Wilbrahams on my lunch break. I found everyone to be incredibly welcoming and friendly. There was a wide range of options on the food menu, I went with the grilled cheese sandwich and was not disappointed! Generous portions, great value for money and friendly staff.

Sadly it was OK, it wasn't bad and felt clean but nothing rave about or rush back to.

Apparently Pepper St Fryer has been taken over by new owners. Sorry to say what I originally rated as excellent has now gone down. The fish not as good quality the batter extremely thin and not crisp ( soggy) the chips very small and hard. I do hope the new people can improve their cooking to the standards and quality it used to be for them and their clientele.

Large cafe bar with outdoor space. Reasonable menu for breakfast, brunch or lunch. No guinness on tap. Food was good value and service was quick
