Great new menu, very tasty and a good range of dishes Great service all very professional. Good to go on a Sundays as not too busy but still a very nice atmosphere.

It’s only fair to start with the fact that my friend who booked us in regularly eats here and it’s great. However, I have a shellfish allergy and so I phoned the day before to check they can cater for that. I spoke to the manager who said they don’t have shellfish. I then pointed out that the starters alone contain many prawn dishes and he said yes, they do prawns. He obviously didn’t know that prawns are shellfish. This was a worrying start but I carried on with my query. Could they cater for a shellfish allergy? He said yes they could do a shellfish free meal. I asked if that means they would have a shellfish free area to prep my meal. ‘No’ was the answer, the kitchen is too small. I just had a drink with my friends and went home to eat. It seemed way too risky. Also another friend who came couldn’t eat because she is vegan and they couldn’t cater for her either. I feel sad giving a bad review but in the case of allergies, this is very serious and so I thought I’d post. The rest of the company had a lovely time there but if you have an allergy, you can now make an informed decision about whether to eat at this restaurant.

Not a bad pub nothing special. Ordered pizza they must get them from Iceland. Tough base chewey and absolutely no flavour. Had to add Ketchup and Daddies sauce for some flavour.

Good Friday stopped by for a family take away; fish & chips. Very good quality fish and chips with good sized portions. As always fair on price and wonderfully hot food; thank you!

A rather disappointing outcome. The pub seems absolutely lovely, warm fire, amazing drinks, a wholesome atmosphere. Me and my friend were looking forward to spending money on a few rounds in a lovely pub such as this. However, as we were 22 (of legal age to drink in the United Kingdom), we were not served. Now, I understand that there are discrepancies due to our age, yes the rowdy 18-22 year olds can cause a scene. However, me and my sophisticated friend were merely there for a simple beverage, I think this rule should be based on character, not of age. As this was Jazzfest time, we completely appreciate that you may have had bad experiences with people our calibre, however to refuse to serve us was most disappoint. Please, visit this pub if you’re in the local area, it seems like a lovely retreat to put up your feet and have a few nice drinks. I hope you serve us again sometime!

Sadly it was OK, it wasn't bad and felt clean but nothing rave about or rush back to.

Large cafe bar with outdoor space. Reasonable menu for breakfast, brunch or lunch. No guinness on tap. Food was good value and service was quick
