Street Nantwich in Cheshire East

It was ok. I went on a Saturday lunch time and it was empty. The girl behind the bar was friendly and explained the situation. We ordered salt and pepper chicken wings but we got generic baked chicken with no additional spice. We also ordered the pulled pork burrito, which was tough and dry. I'd not recommend visiting here unless you had to

The service is great, can’t fault it. The drinks are also nice! The food on the other hand was really disappointing, unfortunately. The chicken katsu curry was so dry.. it didn’t have a sauce, at all! Was literally just chicken and rice. The nachos were really lacking substance with barely any sauces or cheese on them. The food lets this place down sadly but the service, atmosphere and drinks are good.

Absolutely awful food. I ordered the Katsu Curry & it’s like they forgot a key ingredient…. Curry. It was breaded chicken with rice and a literal oxo cube. I bit into the oxo cube and almost threw up. Will never visit again.

Fun place to eat. Alana and Mia were great hosts, adapted meals for the vegan member of our group and made great cocktails

We had a really tasty takeaway from Street at the weekend. The portions were a little on the large side which meant we had leftovers for the next day! Mixture of burgers and burritos with loaded fries, the fricken chicken burger was so good! And the Katsu curry too. Will be back.

Really really poor quality food. This place has really gone down hill. It's really overpriced for what you are getting. Lots of missing ingredients. The taste of everything has completely changed and it tastes like really cheap ingredients. Really disappointed. This place used to be brilliant.

Sadly after six years of visiting here, this may be our last. The standards over the past 12 months have deteriorated, with not only price increases but cost cutting as well. The Mother Clucker burger used to be a double buttermilk fried chicken burger with cheese, crispy onions and BBQ sauce. It came out as a cheap and nasty butterfly chicken with no cheese and onions that looked like they came off a burger van. The picture taken below from the wall is what the burger used to look like, and what we were served up. The burger cost £15, which is ridiculous considering what was served up. The brisket burger was tiny compared to the dirty burger style of past. The beef was a frozen patty and no where near the quality that it used to be. The coleslaw was also missing. We were offered a free drink as compensation. The woman serving was apologetic and understood our complaint but even on a second burger arriving, it wasn't much better. Clearly the chef/standards have changed and it is sad. There are much better burgers now at Red Cow and The Leopard on Nantwich for a quid or so more with real chips and table service. The appeal of Street was cheap and good quality food but that is no longer the case. If this keeps up, the place will be shut in the next 12 months as we certainly won't be returning after being regular customers.

I notice a lot of the older reviews are good. I think this place has really gone downhill. Ordered the hot curry online. When I picked it up they told me the curry was NOT vegan, so instead they left the sauce out - the result was a small pot of plain rice and a few fried vegetables. Absolutely disgraceful that they think charging £12 for this is acceptable!! I got a refund immediately. They sell loaded fries but they are from frozen. Other dishes I tried were quite tasteless. I won’t be back there are much better places in Nantwich.

Went in for a few drinks and was pleased to be treated with a lovely experience and great customer service from Mia, would recommend for family and friends looking for a nice meal out as it had a lovely atmosphere.

We have just eaten in Street Food at Nantwich this evening. Would really recommend! The food, atmosphere and staff were all excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

I've been here a few times now and absolutely loved it! The reason for a star short though is because on our very first visit, we got given a table and left to it. After waiting a while, we had to ask a staff member what the ordering system is. She said at the bar, which was fine, but we didn't know to do that as we weren't told as we came in and there were no signs saying that or stated on any of the menus. On my second visit, I asked for the haribo cocktail as I had it during my first visit, which came in a lovely large glass and some haribo sweets. On my second visit, it came in a small glass with no sweets and didn't really taste like what I had before. If not for these minor details, it would definitely be granted 5 stars, even 6 if that was an option!

Worst food and service i've had in years

Nice, relaxed but organised atmosphere with food to die for! Served by Ella, very polite and helpful all the way through our evening, Well done.

Saw that Street was very close to where I was staying with my partner, so thought that we'd get some takeaway. We ordered a Mr Ishii burito, don't go bacon my heart loaded fries and Louisiana bbq wings. The fries were pretty good, a very big portion aswell but that's where the good things about the meal end. The chicken wings were very dry and as a personal taste the bbq sauce wasn't strong enough almost as if it was watered down. The Burito was for some reason cut in half either before or when it was in the foil so when we opened the foil everything fell out of it. There was meant to be crispy beef but it was just bits of cooked beef, there was no onion bhaji bits in it either. Was very disappointed with the meal. I wouldn't go back there as there are far better places to eat in Nantwich.

Don’t know whether they’re going through it at the minute but never experienced street like this before (normally really good) The Chefs were shouting at each other in open kitchen, two songs playing at same time with chefs singing (I encourage this to keep up spirits just not in an open kitchen layout), tiny table, chefs doing shots while cooking which made me giggle with confusion (health and safety where?👀) Waitress dropped the couple opposites us dinner (2 spring rolls) and didn’t replace it just binned them and walked away🤣 Chips undercooked and just were pure raw potato tasting which is a shame as the food here is normally really good and a good price point too. Burger was yum, loaded fries flavour way yum but raw lol🫥 Meh.

I’m not really sure this place knows what it wants to be; seems to have a lot of everything and the food isn’t great quality for the price. Honestly I would save your money and spend it elsewhere

We visited recently after a day out around Nantwich. We’ve been several times before and usually had a good meal. Now it’s clear that a lot of the staff are new. The right hand did not know what the left was doing, at all. There didn’t seem to be a manager present and whilst I’m a believer that age isn’t a barrier to being good at your job, there seems to have been a distinct lack of training, experience and supervision with the young staff when we visited. Some of the issues - - Bar staff did not know what soft drinks were available. - The wait staff did not know what spirits they had on. - After we asked for two more minutes to pick our food, the wait staff did not return so after 20 minutes we went up to order (not sure if this is expected because it wasn’t explained to us). - The food took a long time to come and was waiting on the kitchen pass for a long time whilst the cooks rang the bell. Previously you used to collect food yourself and we were going to when it was finally brought to the table. One table did go and fetch their own food they could see waiting there for some time. - Food was okay, not to its usual standard. Fries very small and hard. - One table was complaining because their food was taking forever, one table appeared to leave due to the wait, and another table seemed exasperated as to how long they were waiting. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and seemed to have 4 wait staff, a bar man and three in the kitchen. - Multiple times the kitchen team rang the bell for service and no one came. Perhaps a better way is needed to stop the wait staff congregating at the bar and have them able to hear the bell. The table complaining sent their’s back due to it being cold. - The young gent who appeared to be the lead cook swearing loudly and making a scene that could be heard from the restaurant when the complaint was lodged (understandably given it seemed to be the inert wait staff’s fault) wasn’t a great look. Overall, disappointing. I’ve worked in busy kitchen’s and pubs myself as a teenager and I understand the pace, the pressure and tension’s running high. Last night seemed to be caused entirely due to a staff that hadn’t a clue how the operation was meant to run and weren’t properly trained. I felt sorry for the one girl who got complained to by another table (in an overly-rude manner) and then shouted at by the chef, when she was not the only culprit of messing up. I would suggest Street ensure a senior manager on site for a Saturday night shift and to have their entire staff go through some checks to ensure they’re trained and understand the way the kitchen wants service to run. Disappointed because Street does a bit of something you don’t get elsewhere in town. We felt simultaneously sorry for one waitress running round trying to do everything, whilst the others seemed to be glued to the bar.

We've been going to the Street for years and always enjoy it. Today, we had a problem with one of our dishes. Lily looked after us so well. She offered us alternatives and was pleasant and helpful throughout. Well done.

Very disappointing. Everything we ordered off the menu had something missing or wasn't cooked as we'd asked. 2 of us had ordered the salad with rice noodles, when they came without the noodles, was told they don't do them anymore and haven't done them for 2 years and need to update the menu. It takes no time to cross it off the menu with a pen or to let the customer know that they won't get what they ordered. The children's food came as we were finishing. The staff have no idea how to deal with customer queries of complaints. We did not expect to be shouted at. Will not go again.

Moving the stars up a bit on each visit. Not my choice but family, certainly one of those places you can spend more time choosing your food than it takes to eat it. Motherclucking Chicken and the shredded beef, are devine I have to admit I do enjoy these, plus often the need for a side order, but I expect this at paying the prices for the food that you do. Soft drinks are on the small size and bit pricey for what you get compared to other places we frequent. Whilst clean, I have never not had a warm glass, nor an ice cold soft drink to go with the lovely food, I live in hope one day I will. Just need to choose a table not so close to the food prep area as the door that leads outside, where it goes I do not know, lets in a terrible draft.

Really unique concept of dining, menu is street food style that leaves you spoilt for choice. Fresh made burgers that to say the least are filling and absolutely delicious, there's also burritos and noodles and a huge choice of other bites for every taste and appetite. Everything on the menu is freshly prepared with great attention to detail of the ingredients. Good choice of cocktails served in a variety of quirky ways but only one draft lager but it was quite refreshing. Great repurposed furniture and decor with an outdoor seating area to the rear. Great place for groups great food, great atmosphere and really nice staff.
