The Leopard Nantwich in Cheshire East

We had a fabulous few hours celebrating a birthday at The Leopard. The food was super delicious, we tucked into the “dirty trays” which were wonderful. The staff were very welcoming & even supplied a candle for the treacle tart, singing Happy Birthday & writing the age in the sauce… much to the embarrassment of the birthday boy!! An added delight was the live music that started at 9pm creating such a warm & happy atmosphere, & he was great singing the blues… Thank you Leopard xx brilliant evening xx

Had beef lunch the vegetables were very good but meat was inedible

Enjoyed a good night out with some good beer and the duck chips were tasty

The food is very good here and there's a nice atmosphere, it's a shame the service doesn't match it. Staff are very nonchalant and inattentive. We walked in and the servers just told us to pick a table and told us where the menus were (didn't even bother handing them to us- right next to them by the way). Servers didn't check on us once during the meal. A real shame that the food is the only saving grace of this place.

Lunch menu is always good value and the service friendly. Lots of "Dirty" food options and plenty of beers on offer.

The food was exceptional here. The only reason they have lost one star for me is because it was a birthday meal we booked way in advance and we got crammed in a little booth I literally could raise my arms to eat. The service wasn't the best, yes they came over but only when we grabbed there attention. Would I go back absolutely but in a party of 4, no more I don't think they can handle large tables

Pie was fab as normal but my desert was a disappointment. I ordered ‘warm treacle tart’ with was not warm at all.

Wow we went here for my dads birthday and the staff were amazing. Everyone was so nice, the food was tasty. It wasn’t loud. The down star was because I failed to get a reply when emailing the pub on there email address before hand and when rung the line was bad.

We decided to visit this place after hearing about their impressive “dirty food” options and the good variety on the menu. Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, there was absolutely zero customer service or any understanding of hospitality. The host, who seemed to be a manager, sat looking bored and barely acknowledged us. When we asked for a table, we were told to find an unreserved one ourselves, even though some reserved tables weren’t booked for another two hours. No menus were offered, and nothing about the food or desserts was mentioned. We eventually found a table in a cold corner—though to be fair, the entire place felt freezing. We had to order at the bar, which was fine, but the lack of warmth in the service was glaring. The food arrived relatively quickly and was surprisingly great—big portions, full of flavor, and exactly the “dirty tray” we expected. But the staff’s lack of interaction overshadowed the food. Nobody checked on us during the meal, asked how the food was, or even acknowledged us as we left. It felt like eating in a warehouse—get your food, eat, and leave. The team, all of whom seemed quite young, lacked basic social skills, which could likely be attributed to inadequate training. For a £22 plate of food, I wasn’t complaining about the price, but I expected a much better overall experience, especially since we came for a sit-down meal, not a takeaway. Sadly, this visit was extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend the place unless you’re okay with cold service and a lack of connection. I won’t be returning.

This pub serves really good food and the loaded friess are very good even though I prefer the chunky chips, the roast dinner looks amazing but I'm yet to try it but I will... it had a large extension 2 years ago which made it over twice the size and it has a large outdoor area as well. Can watch football here as well in the bar area on 3 screens. Overall a good friendly family pub 👍.

The service here is fantastic, so attentive, friendly and quick considering we were a large party. Food was delicious, came out hot and altogether so our party could eat together. Chicken fountain was fab!

1st Visit & will definitely return , Food 10/10 & service & atmosphere Top Notch , Young girls a credit to The Establishment for service , mega busy & had a smile on faces at all times. A place to visit 💯 % as won’t be disappointed

Really good local pub food. Everything I've had off the menu had been A+. Huge portions. The mini mac n cheese is actually a full portion. 😋 Very friendly staff. A home away from home.

We did not eat here but watched football in a great atmosphere

We both had the chippy tea which was excellent. Lovely white flaky fish in a crisp and tasty batter. This coupled with really well kept real ale means we will be back soon even though it is a trek for us.

Went here first time tonight order 2 x £22 each chicken burger platter and 1 x cheeseburger platter absolutely rubbish the burgers came on a really sweet bun then to top it off had a really sweet sauce making it so sweet u couldn't taste anything chips was covered in a spice topping to hot to eat ribs was smothered in to much barbecue sauce and to top it off had 3 cokes which was flat by the way costing £4 each and also you are sat really close together to other people trying to eat there's no way are them platters worth £22 each we go to a place in Manchester called biscuit and u get double on your platters then this costing only £25 quid You get from biscuit Normal fries Sweet potato fries Chicken burger Cheese burger Chicken strips Nachos With choice off sauces

All 3 of us opted for the festive turkey meal and it was delicious. Staff friendly and helpful.

Love this place ! Had an excellent roast turkey dinner , my husband and daughter had the chippy tea and loved it. Perfect portion sizes too. No wonder it's busy .

Perplexed by other reviews We went on a weeknight, plenty of staff on who were nice, but - beef burger meat was almost double cooked, dry, shoe like - American cheese as a costed extra on some burgers had a very odd taste, unpleasant. - nachos for starters were average, just about right for the money - the onion rings were greasy and actually made us feel sick Trying to give this feedback at the end to the manager after being asked “was everything ok” -clearly stating we weren’t looking for compensation was not well received

Recommend for the whole family. Great food and lovely ambience. We’ve been many times now and the food is really excellent. Highly recommend the chippy tea as it’s probably the best in Nantwich. Our party of 7 enjoyed every bit of our stay. Two things my daughter enjoys most is salmon and Mac cheese, this was not on the menu as a pairing but the team at Leopard did it with no trouble at all. We were all left stuffed and happy! Great service and we will be back!

I have been a couple of times I’ve the past few months and was really disappointed with my Last visit. Really Long wait to be served and have food, poor customer service and was disappointed with the meals to. I always like the chicken burger trays but it was very dry this time. Such a shame

Went with work colleagues after work. Nice vibrant atmosphere even though it was early evening. Promptly seated at out pre booked table. Drinks served really quickly and food arrived without too much delay. Excellent quality and really good portion sizes. No one had room for a dessert. Is on our list to return soon.

Well run pub with good range of areas to accommodate most tastes. Local craft ale was a decent bonus. Went for a burger and you could tell it was decent beef meat inside.

Superb food in both quality and quantity with friendly staff and warm welcoming atmosphere. First time of visiting but we will be back.

First time going to the Leopard, and we picked it for ours sons birthday. First things first, the carpark....very small, probably about 12 spaces max, but there was room in a nearby road. We went straight to our pre-booked table & the drinks order was taken. They then came & took the food order, which arrived in a reasonable time. We had the Leopard Burger,The Bao Buns, The Chicky Tray & a kids Mac n Cheese. All really good & a good amount for the money. The staff were really friendly. All in all a brilliant evening & will definitely visit again

She really enjoyed it and the curry sauce that it came with! The pub inside is beautiful too, it has a nice vibe and the staff were really friendly, we already can't wait to come back! 😍

Very nice food, pub is nice and quaint. Small carpark and it gets very busy. Definately advise to prebook a table before you visit. Good value for money and will visit again.

Visited a couple of times midweek with colleagues; for a birthday and Christmas meal. The menu has plenty of choice. The restaurant feels comfortable, bright and welcoming. The team are friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking available. Clean restrooms.

Visited on a very busy Friday Evening, service was fast and food was delicious, genuinely the nicest steak I've ever eaten. Little bit noisy as we had to sit near to the bar, but this is to be expected. Will definitely visit again.

Large pub and beer garden with plenty of seating. Tv screens for those who wanted to watch but lots of quiet places too. Good menu with plenty of finger food. I had the pie which was ok but was spoilt by unbelievably salty gravy. Would go again and have the lunchtime menu ( not the pie ) which was far better value

Our favourite chain of pubs are Joules, and we've not been disappointed in any of them! The Leopard is a gorgeous place, very big! There's indoor & outdoor seating. The food was gorgeous and staff are so polite. We'll definitely be coming back 🥰

Food was great. Wide variety of pub grub that is elevated. You must try the chicken tenders for starter! They are so flavourful, tender and juicy and come with a side of Gravy. The halloumi fries were also good. Nice variety of drinks available including 2x different Aspalls and IPAs available to try. For mains we tried burgers and pie . The chips were very nice, pie was delicious and the portion sizes were massive! We had no room for dessert. The toilets were clean and well signposted Staff were very friendly too. There was live music on as well which added to the night.

We just popped in for lunch and it was stunning I had a club sandwich and chips and there was far too much. Well worth the money.

Visited twice now as it’s the perfect halfway point place for myself and a friend to catch up, recommended by her personal trainer…surprised by the lovely food and we won’t even bother meeting anywhere else as the food has been insanely good both times we visited. Staff friendly, dog friendly too

The food was really tasty & presented well, but if ur not a big eater, the portions might be quite big for you. Service was quick & nc that waitress checked everything was ok during eating. The only issue I could see was that the carpark wasn't too big.

First time here visiting family in the area. The menus were creased and stained with food. Not a good start. £17 for a microwaved pie with mushy pastry, a paxo stuffing ball and a tiny portion of potatoes. I'll pay for good food but this was an absolute rip off.

I had the rodeo burger and it was a good burger, the thing that let it down were the fries. They were poor as it was like the end bits out of the fryer. For the price of the meal I would have expected better. Nice atmosphere pub worth a visit if in the area.

Very disappointed by staff on entry a lack of empathy for a disability need meant that we turned around immediately. Clearly an issue as the pub was totally empty at the time we visited.

Best pub in town, best beer in town

First visit here and came as a group of 5 friends, the waitress who served us was so lovely and welcoming from when we walked in to when we left - even on a busy Saturday night. The food is honestly 10/10 we all really enjoyed it and for sure will return, thank you! 🌟

The food is great and tasty. Loved the open glass roof 👌 I would have given 5*if the food was a little hotter. I have roast beef was very tasty.

I don't like Joule's beer but went on a recommendation for a Sunday lunch with my wife and 5 year old son. Really good old fashioned meal at a decent price. Couldn't fault it and service was excellent. Most pubs charge 20 quid plus for a plate of arty chewy raw meat. This was not that. Well done Leopard!

Everything about the place is great. Any food You try- it’s great. The staff is great.

Good food at a reasonable price

If you like good quality pub grub in a really nice atmosphere with equally good staff, then this is the place. Traditional dishes with a local variation, for example, The Chipy Tea. Deserts were equally good.

Service can sometimes be slow but cracking food

After a long ride around Wales on the bike 🏍 stopped here for a quick drink and it seems popular and friendly locals.

As vegetarians, it is sometimes a struggle to find good places to eat, but the menu and the food at the leopard is always incredible. I had the crispy seitan salad which was absolutely delicious and my partner had the newly added chilli paneer kebab- also delicious. Thank you to the leopard for offering a well thought of and tasty menu for vegans & vegetarians!

Amazing burgers great joules beer and fab bar staff

Me and my partner love it here. Been going for nearly 5 years. It can be a bit more pricey than other pubs but the food definitely feels fresh and flavourful, so we don't mind. Makes a lovely change from other pubs where everything comes out of a freezer. The beer is fantastic, I'd suggest the Joules Pale.
