Lovely food great service and kids love it here too.

The service and food at Hickory's were terrific! Our server, Jess, was extremely friendly & others on the waitstaff were very helpful. The multiple American BBQ flavor styles combined into one menu make an interesting concept. Be sure to try one of the homemade sodas, which are very tasty, and if you can make it before 4pm, the lunch value that includes them is a great value.

The food was amazing but the portions very small for the cost so not great value for money.

Gets very busy late in the afternoon and weekends. Great food, good service and a decent selection of drinks

Food was really good, had a table at 6m. Became really very busy by 7 pm on a Wednesday and full of young children running around. Not my sort of place as I prefer a more relaxed type of atmosphere so won't be returning.

Background - have only ever visited here at weekday lunchtimes, so can't comment on how busy it gets of an evening/weekend and hence the level of service at peak times. With that in mind, never had an issue being seated quickly, however we have always booked as this is a really easy process via the website. Food/drink service is always quick and efficient. The quality and type of food is exactly as advertised American style BBQ. Having been a couple of times, we have found our go-to menu items which are always consistently good. The half rack of ribs with maple sauce I would highly recommend. Meat falls off the bone. The maple chicken with waffles is another favourite of our group. In summary if you are after a range of American style BBQ food, then you can't go wrong with Hickory's Wilmslow

The Missus suggested we go here as she'd been here with friends before - it was phenomenal, we had great customer service and they went above and beyond to accommodate for dietary needs. Food was really tasty, great to bring little ones to as well!

loved it here...got the sharing platter for 2 and did not dissapoint ...really juicy brisket and tender ribs ...had to bag half of it up ....will come back for sure

Went here for a birthday. Orders were taken. And delivered incorrectly. Drinks were taken. And delivered incorrectly. The attitude of the staff was that of no desire to help or to serve you. They ignored us pretty much once we were seated. Price was alright. But I definitely wouldn't go out of my way again. Manager was contacted to discuss however ignored from them so I'm assuming they just didn't want feedback or couldn't be bothered. What a shame because the decor and advertising is 100% spot on. Just the attitude of all the staff is really bad.

Try book the covered patio. Best place to be. Food is fab. Really enjoyed the southern fried chicken burger.

3 times here. It's just never good. The brisket is the biggest disappointment of all. The burger again is meh. The best dish was the salmon was.the best of all three. Expensive for seemingly no reason.

last night in the UK for my friend and she took me to Hickory’s, my new favourite restaurant. the food was just amazing (as we had grown to expect), and the service even more so! our waitress Jessica spotted me as a fellow Swiftie and went all out in my birthday platter! greates memories were made! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bland food with a side of zero service. Plates and rubbish left on tables next to us the entire time we were sat there. They didn't clear our tables after the starters or the mains. Then finally trying to pay the bill was like pulling teeth. Lazy uninterested staff. And they have a cheek to put on a 7% service charge.

Great American style food in atmospheric surroundings, kids really liked it and enjoyed their meals and desserts!

Called in around 1pm 22/1/25 order a pint and mack and cheese with chicken, got what tasted like mack and cheese from an Aldi tin with 2 scaby breaded bits of chicken! £25 and some change disgusting and I told the staff so.

We had a meal with 8 of us. 2 of us shared the mixed platter which was good although slightly pricy at about £60. One of the group had salmon which wasn’t good - bland and overcooked. Some of the cocktails were good but the beer choice wasn’t great. It was very loud to the point where you had to shout at each other across the table. Overall okay, some of the food the rest of the group had was very good. It was quite expensive - about £50 per head for shared starters, main, and 2-3 drinks each. Would be prepared to go again but would likely order differently.

It might be ok for families as the kids will like it but we aren't doing it again. Service was good but the food was only low end American with no options really for none American. Very spacious and popular but if you are interested in your health, give it a wide berth.

We look forward to dining here always. However, i do not appreciate being dictated to with regards to tipping! Having it automatically put on the bill puts people in an awkward situation that i do not dine out to be put in. I am not opposed to leaving a tip if deserving of one but this is england not america. Our attitude towards a gratuity is totally different and should not be dismissed lightly. I save dining at hickorys for a rare treat for this one particular niggling reason. Let us decide for ourselves!

Had the platter which was amazing!! It was only let down by the brisket unfortunately, which was what we were looking forward to the most. The beef rib was the best I'd tasted and the mac n cheese was special. Staff were lovely and friendly 😊

We went tonight to try our local resteraunt and although some things were outstanding, some were terrible one being the brisket which in my opinion should be the star of the show at any smoke house but unfortunately it was tasteless and extremely dry, we ordered the platter for 2 with an additional side of brisket mac and cheese. The beef ribbon the platter was next level good, the wings were excellent both types of ribs were quite dry but tasty and as i said before the brisket was just plain bad i would of complained and sent it back but my wife said just leave it but when im paying £62 for a platter i expect it to be bang on and it just wasn't. The beans were lovely and so was the flavour to the mac and cheese ive been ive tried it i wouldnt go again and i wouldn't recommend it.

We ate here as a treat meal, we were staying up the road at the airport hotel before our early flight the following morning. It was a special holiday for our 10 year wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were asked if we were celebrating, we told the staff yes, and that it was our 10th wedding anniversary and we were flying out to Iceland in the morning. The staff were so friendly, provided an amazing service. The food was BELTING, the frickles were one of the best things I have ever tasted (first time trying them). My husband had the 'go big or go home' burger, and I had the brisket. Would definitely go back. After our meal I said yes to having a look at the pudding menu (even though I would have struggled with a full pudding!), however, because of our celebratory circumstances a board with a decorated donut and a large indoor firework were brought over to our table free of charge which was a really nice surprise. We booked our table for 4pm, and we were back at our hotel by 5.15, the hotel was really close, but the food service was super fast. We also were given a little bag of salty and sweet popcorn when we arrived which was really nice and a bottle of water for our table. Couldn't fault our experience at Hickory's 👌 they do add their own tip onto the bill though, I was already considering giving a tip, but them already adding it themselves felt a bit strange. But it wasn't much, and as I say, I was already thinking of giving one anyway.

The table they given was very cold draft and I asked staff to be moved and no other tables so add to sit with my coat over my legs the chips were cold and the stake that I ordered was not cooked as requested staff changed the chips did not wait for them to replace the stake I was to cold I have been to this restaurant a few times definitely will not be going again

Ordered sharing platter for 2 .it was massive and very nice but got charged £80 odd pounds and thought it was way too much !

This place is 15/10. The most amazing atmosphere, staff, and im still druelling thinking of the food. Will defo be back on another date night.

Was a fun family atmosphere, plenty of seats inside and out . They have a cinema and free popcorn 🍿 for the kids and adults 😋 which is a really nice touch and different. It's american style bbq and grill with an extensive menu .We were a large party for a birthday and all the staff we had were really nice and helpful though they were super busy and we had to try and catch their attention for drinks on a few occasions. The food was nice we had a range of beef ribs , chicken and mixed platters all of which were good although my husband wasn't a massive fan of the platter said it all tasted pretty much the same a bit burnt . Didn't stop him having a go at it, though . Would go again with family as service, food, and value were good . Not a great selection of wines but a good selection of frozen cocktails and funky milkshakes for the kids .

Great food and service. Unfortunately sat in a sticky booth next to the cinema/kids area So kids running about and loud music. The seats there need a deep clean!

Nice atmosphere.. very pleasant friendly staff (thanks Dan). Wife had the smoked brisket which was certainly the star of the show. I had the steak which although very nicely cooked medium rare unfortunately lacked seasoning and the peppercorn sauce was bland too. Fries were good but the plate needed a garnish of salad or ranch coleslaw or something.. my saviour was the Beaver coney island mustard in the pic was really good and added much needed flavour. Also good was the hickory pale ale. A good pint. Desert was the pecan mess tart thing . Can't remember the name. Unfortunately mass produced very hard pastry and a squirty cream. Not the best choice. happy new year and all the best for 2025

It's a good choice if you like American style food. We had the smokehouse platter, it was a variety of meats, all nice and delicious. Strongly recommended. Will come back soon.

Highly recommend for family dinners. Great choice of food

First visit today and was greatly impressed, car park was huge with loads of availability. Approached the front entrance and we were greeted immediately and shown to our table. Very clean and decor inside was amazing, even down to the menus all seemed very authentic. The cinema room kept our kids happy for a good amount of time. Food arrived very quickly, wings were excellent, usda slab was amazing. Can't wait to visit again hopefully our new go to place for a decent meal.

I got the 60 sharing platter and I was disappointed the food is average. The brisket was ok the rest was average

Well I have to admit that we only booked to eat here because it was next to the Premier Inn, where we were staying. We had a really nice evening, we liked the American atmosphere and enjoyed the beefburgers. We shared the Marshmellow Campfire afterwards which was great. A fun night.

Love it here took my son and husband for a birthday treat. We have been before the good is always good and staff are amazing and work so hard. It was very busy being a Sunday but no waiting. I had a brisket sub with fries, coleslaw and a pot of gravy it was delicious. My husband and son shared the meat platter which they enjoyed. Went today I had the christmas turkey burger it was amazing, my husband had the meat platter for 1, we both brought food home we couldn't finish. The food was lovely, the staff are really nice too.

This place is incredible the food is gorgeous! The garlic pretzel appetiser is 100% must have! I’m a very picky eater but loved every bite of every course! The drinks are amazing as well plenty of choice! We had the iced cocktails. Only thing I will say is staff seem very rushed and at some points impatient which I understand and I would be too just worth noting!

It was a busy Sunday after the Wilmslow 10k , but this didn't affect the quality of the food or service 10/10

We came by chance, the place is next to a hotel where we were going to stay overnight. 4 adults, without reservation on Sunday evening. They made us sit in a very noisy part of the room with children running and screaming. We only understood at the end that this is the area dedicated to families with children. It would have been appropriate to warn us customers, we were taken aback by the confusion. Good and plentiful food, very few vegetarian options and only one vegan main course. Good selection of beers. Young and willing staff.

My wife and two kids (8 and 3) were first timers for Saturday lunch. I’m a big BBQ fan, lived in London for years and trialled nearly all of them and earlier this year was in Austin for work and tried an authentic Texan BBQ place - Hickory’s topped the lot! The brisket was ‘melt in the mouth’ good, with so much flavour, especially with the gravy! The beef rib was cooked to perfection. They have a cinema room for kids, showing a bunch of different Disney/Pixar films, a great little pack on arrival with colouring and loads of activities, popcorn on tap, and they let the kids behind the bar to make their own milkshakes! For dessert we had the little table fire pit and toasted marshmallows - never seen this done anywhere before! We were in there for hours and normally the kids get bored and we rush our grub and leave within an hour, but it was such a great place we didn’t want to leave. Decorated beautifully at Christmas and a little sports room in the back! Staff and service were outstanding and the general atmosphere full of family and friends enjoying themselves! We’re 45 mins away from Wilmslow but with a new one opening in Stafford, we’ll have a “local”!

The food was 10 out of 10 and the service was the same, definitely go again 5 star all the way.

Was a little disappointed with the overall experience, the food wasn’t great, we were a party of six adults, the service was slow and we were left waiting to order drinks a number of times during our sitting, the restaurant was also cold, it was a busy evening, but overall we were disappointed with the experience overall.

We've been going to Hickory's for many years. Usually, the Poynton location. However, we decided to visit Wilmslow. Oops. We had a poor experience last time we went, with the service, and the same girl serving us didn't disappoint Ordered drinks, which she didn't send to the bar, and got part of the order wrong. The manager was great and didn't charge for the drinks. But I will now stick with Poynton. Twice bitten with this place

had to sit next to a kid's party ,they were jumping on and of chairs, ordered sharing pltter for 2 and most of the food was cold ,the table was wabbling and after paying the bill i went to the toilet to find them dirty looks as if they hadn't been cleaned for weeks ,I will share this with Facebook

Had an opportunity to visit for a business networking evening. We were spoilt by the manager and staff, wonderful hospitality and some great company too. Look forward to a return visit.

Good decor and food, sport shown, loads of seating so atmosphere good. Had the sharing platter which was more than enough for two.

Took grandaughter for birthday she said it was great staff, food and atmosphere .

Top quality American style food, we had a great time, the atmosphere was great, it was really busy but service did not get affected by this, there was silly waiting around for drinks or food, they were very attentive. Food was stunning, the brisket was unreal, just melted in our mouths! We had a shared dessert which was a little campfire with marshmallows and melted chocolate which the kids loved. There was a cinema room but our children were abit too young to be left unattended for that and we were too away from it so I would probably request a table close that next time. The only other little thing is that it would have been nice if high chair was at the table as I did request this but I understand it may of been to busy and needed at the time. I think it would also be abit better if the kids packs were on the table ready for them when you sat down with the kids menus but this didn’t really affect our experience and like I said they were very busy and maybe something they usually do- definitely going again and can not wait. Thank you!

Love this place as long as you know what you want. Ie it's not a posh restaurant. It's a good medium between plain pub grub venue and posh frocks ( I call them dirty plates) restaurant. Food is great and the service I have found to be brilliant.

They made our anniversary special. We didn't book or prepare them for it. We mentioned it in passing and they went above and beyond with their service and treated us to a little gift. Thank you Hickory.

Food was great, ambience too. My food allergy was dealt with particularly positively; the manager came to our table and discussed all the ingredients with us. The service was also very courteous, absolutely recommended!

By far the best American style food I've had, the place is set in a nice quite location and not in a town centre for once. The staff was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure you everything was good. The food was absolutely stunning and well worth the prices, very fast and hot food. If going with younger kids they have a little cinema room inside the restaurant so they can watch films with other children while waiting for there food. Overall I'd give this a 9/10 and we will definitely be back soon Only reason it's not 10/10 is due to parking the car park is big but spaces are quite narrow and the car park was really full even though I booked a time

A wonderful restaurant with FANTASTIC American BBQ food! Lovely atmosphere with live music. The only thing I’d change is to ask to be seated away from children who were running feral around the place.

Shame we had finished out food before the drinks arrived…normally very good service..had to request water while we waited for the drinks..but promptly actually got the water..sat outside because nice sunny October day so food was warm not hot as normal..maybe a one-off..fingers crossed we normally love it here🤔
