Prime Cut Bar & Grill in Cheshire East

Overall a little disappointing. The atmosphere of the venue is warm & welcoming. The decor is great. The entertainment was pleasant if not a little loud. The food however is somewhat mediocre. My partner ordered the chilli & garlic linguine which was supposed to have both prawns & mussels. There were only prawns with not a single mussel in sight. The linguine was swimming in oil and the sauce (of which there was very little) was bland. A slight creamy taste managed to work its way through all the oil. I ordered the fillet steak, with sides of asparagus & dauphinoise potatoes. The asparagus was cooked to perfection, however, the steak was a little dry, not juicy and the potatoes were basically just sliced boiled potatoes, with minimal sauce, & I mean minimal. Tasteless and far from what you’d expect in a setting like this with not exactly low end prices. It will be my first & only visit.

Went here to celebrate a birthday and was not disappointed. It is great to see that Macclesfield has a top quality halal restaurant available the Muslim residents of the town. The food was very tasty i wouldn't say it blew me away but was of high standard and the price does reflect well enough on the quality of food. Service was good again wouldn't say amazing but I would go again and recommend people to give this place a try

The roast beef Sunday lunch was good, excellent Yorkshire pudding but the roast potatoes needed roasting more. But a great place for food whatever day. And the best expresso martini that I have had for a long time

Booked for an 8pm table, when we arrived the restaurant was very busy and we were told our table would be 5/10 minutes, 35 minutes later we were seated, downstairs in the corner which was freezing, other patrons were wearing their coats. Both had steaks and 4 sides to share, steaks were well cooked, the potatoes were dry and over cooked, asparagus was too heavy with balsamic vinegar, but the garlic bread was nice. Ordered sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie for pudding, was decent. Staff friendly, especially bar staff who were lovely and kept us entertained.

Went here for a birthday dinner, having looking to a nice steak, the restaurant is really well decorating, we booked for upstairs but was sat downstairs in the corner which was cold, I had T bone steak and wife had a chicken. Unsure if we would return tbh

First visit today for lunch and it didn’t disappoint everything was spot on can’t fault it

Could not fault this lovely place, the meal was delicious, it was our Christmas dinner, the plate was full of all the trimmings, the turkey and roast potatoes were tasty, the staff were all so very nice, service were spot on, thank you to all prime cut staff for making our Christmas day special.

Disappointing visit! Booked as a family of 8 for the early bird menu for a birthday celebration. When I called to book, it was confirmed the early bird menu was available. Subsequent call to confirm the booking a few days later/day before the booking, also confirmed the early bird menu was available. When we arrived and seated, advised the early bird menu was NOT available and hadn’t been for the past month, and wouldn’t be available again any time soon. It felt like we’d been duped into making the booking - we left. We have ate here in the past, and it’s good. Interestingly I walked past the next evening, and there is a board outside advertising the early bird menu… Make your mind up management!

We were there on Sunday 29th December there were 17 of us the food was fantastic the service was amazing and we will definitely be returning again thank you for making it special.

Excellent Sunday lunch, amazing food and perfect service, all very reasonably priced. Tam was really friendly and helpful and Barbie was always there when we needed anything - she works so hard I'm sure she deserves a pay rise! Merry Christmas! 😃

Only Steak house I've ever been to who can't cook steak to how you order it. 3 times I've been now & 3 times they've over cooked my steak. Never again unfortunately cos the staff & atmosphere are good

Visited for a Christmas meal - staff were friendly and attentive, plus the food was delicious! Gluten free dietary requirements were well catered for, and patience with crying baby was much appreciated! Kindly and easily supported a discreet area to breast feed too!

Our first visit last night and all four of us were extremely impressed. Busy restaurant which is always a good sign.Extensive menu speciality obviously steaks which we all had.Cooked to perfection as were all the accompaniments. Nice to hear a bit of live music too. Highly Recommend

I have just rang to book a table for 2 tomorrow night 6pm. Was told yes but they were having a problem with their alcohol licence so I could bring my own. I then asked if there was a corkage charge and was informed, yes, but I would be charged £5 for me to buy, bringand then consume. Cannot believe. I am being chsrged for their problems. Lost a valuable customer and I will be pasding it on to all my friends.

Amazing steak and amazing wine and atmosphere Singer was good and the place was buzzing We even asked for cheese & biscuits which was not on the menu but they obliged nothing is too much trouble would highly recommend this place

Manager extremely rude when I complained about the food my wife had two bouts of sicknesses during and after the meal there obviously something very poisonous about her food for her stomach to reject it so violently no sympathy or apologies just aggressive denial from him On a positive note my lamb cutlets were good Pity we will not being returning such bad attitude from manager

We had an awesome evening, the food was extraordinary as always.Despite the venue being full we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes upon giving our order to the waiter. The food was spot on. Customer service very attentive and highly professional.

£92 for a burger, salad, and 2 kids meals. Rushed in and out. Came here for youngest daughter's birthday, without a reservation on a Saturday night. Can now see why it doesn't get fully booked. Were seated right by the door, which kept getting left ajar every time a staff member walked through, so was extremely draughty. Came here as they advertised an interactive kids menu - when asked for crayons to do the menu's colouring, wordsearch etc... the waitress brought over this sorry-looking selection of dried out felt tips and pencil crayons with no nibs (see pic). Food came quick enough, but then were equally as quick to get the bill to us.. optional tip automatically added to the total and the guy just put the full amount into the card reader, so not really optional to remove without having to cause a scene or justify why you don't want to add a tip ( definitely didn't warrant one). Food was average. House Slaw was like bog standard supermarket coleslaw. In all honesty, kids would have probably preferred the food from McDonalds and the experience of the McDonalds tablets, for less than a quarter of the price. Will swerve this place in future

3rd time at Prime Cuts and I had a great time as usual. It's a great place to visit with a fantastic atmosphere inside. Great decor, friendly staff and the quality of the food is top notch. Planning my next trip in a few weeks time and taking my parents for lunch this time.

This is undoubtedly the best roast in Macclesfield. Also the best value and ambience. We have tried all of the options, the short rib beef being our fave. A true chunky homemade yorkshire and quality of the food food is just second to none. The staff are always wonderful and honour of thier way to make you feel special. Cannot recommend enough as a true roast coniseur!

Wanted to try after hearing some positive reviews. Sadly we didn't see that, we ordered food, but the wrong items were brought out, in fairness the correct food did arrive 10 minutes later. Service team were distracted and appeared too busy to offer much. Drinks were served overflowing which were dripped onto my partners coat, then a napkin was placed on the table to serve as a coaster. Watched staff drop cutlery on the floor,the place them back on a table. In fairness, when the correct food was served, it was pretty good. The 10% service charge was added to the bill and also did not represent value for service. The place was busy so i guess they must be doing things right, so perhaps we just got unlucky,but I don't expect to go again.

Went for a birthday, really accommodating with great food. The wagyu was excellent, as where the lamb chops and the LOKKUM steak. Service was very good atmosphere was great too.

Absolutely delicious food. Service was excellent, eg bar staff making drinks while the order is still being taken, so they appeared instantly! Really enjoyed the beer selection, and the background music too.

This is a great place!! Food is reasonable or you can spend more on some of the more prime (forgive the pun) options. I come regularly with friends and my partner. Jenny the head bartender is wonderful and her cocktails are the best around without doubt! Aydin my waiter was friendly and couldn’t have asked for more. I had the arrabiata with prawns and it was utterly delicious. Will definitely go again!

The food was good, we ate off the main menu. There was a gentleman singing who was entertaining but we found him a little loud - we were a group of ladies catching up with each other and at times found it difficult to hear ourselves 😃

Poor quality food served 2hrs late. We were offered free drinks for the delay, but they never materialised. When the food eventually arrived it was very poor. We expected more, but did the typical English thing, paid but will not return.

The food was great but took a long time to arrive . Complained to service staff about extremely loud volume of live singer near us which meant we couldn’t hear each other talk. She fed back that the singer refused to reduce the volume and that was just the way it is. Really ?? What a shame as this spoilt our evening and doubt we will return

A friend and I met for lunch at the Prime Bar and Grill on 19th July. For starters, my friend had soup of the day (tomato and basil) and I had the Mac and cheese croquettes and we both had the steak and eggs with chimichurri for our main course. All of the food was delicious and the fixed price lunch menu, at only £14.95 for two courses, represented amazing value and I will definitely be back. The sirloin steak with the main was perfectly cooked and although the eggs were a little over cooked it was still very tasty.

Lokkum steak and Pina Coladas. Honestly one of the nicest steaks I've ever had.

Having chosen to pass on a first course I was dismayed to find that the majority of the dessert menu was unavailable. Fine if you wanted ice cream but no to anything else. No apology just a statement of fact. Customers expect more than this.

Not only is the Restaurant stunningly decorated, the atmosphere is so incredibly relaxed and friendly, with service that would rival a Michelin starred premises. Tam and the team were so attentive and the strawberry daquaris are too delicious! 10/10, would recommend to everyone

We placed our order through just eat. Delivery time was getting pushed as they couldn’t find a delivery driver. My burger was over done, it was like chewing sawdust, it came with a minimal amount of sauce or toppings, two leafs of lettuce and a single cherry tomato chucked in the burger box. The chips were also overdone, sweaty and just about warm.

Went for my mum's birthday, food, service and atmosphere was all excellent. They went above and beyond to make it a special occasion.

So a friend lives in the area so decided to asend on his area for a change and agreed to try here. All in all in wasn't overall impressed however wasn't disappointed ether I'd say just run of the mill for a steak house of its kind. What was disappointing is all the share steaks were nit available and was only a Thursday. Myself and a friend looked forward to sharing a platter but had no of any type. Very dissatisfied at this. However the food and choices we did make where good and very nice. Am not entirely certain on the quality of the steaks as seemed quote thin and flat given the price. However am no expert. I'd much prefer a bem brisl style for vaule of money and choice. Over all good hence the 4 star but not as expected.

Despite order being accepted by the restaurant, and the map showing a delivery driver bringing my food to my house, the food didn’t arrive! I called the restaurant to be told that the machine wasn’t working and they didn’t have my order. No food, no assistance. Absolutely appalling.

Great service! Great food. Portion sizes little large couldn't quite finish but great food. Tam is lovely and made sure everything was ok with our food. I had the chicken salad which had lots of flavour and was a great lunch 😊

This was my first visit to the bistro and what a find. The welcome was great and we were looked after all throughout the evening. Lots of choice on the menu and all our choices were delicious. Great atmosphere and fab entertainment. Well worth a visit.

Came for a last-minute meal out with my boyfriend and the team welcomed us in with open arms, even on a busy Friday night. I have been to Prime Cut a handful of times, and even on the busiest nights their attention to each guest individually is unbeatable! I can see why it was busy, as the food & service equally makes it a very pleasant experience & I loved the lamb quinoa salad so much I can’t wait to come again.

Great service. Fantastic food. I had the prawn linguine, and onions rings (random combination I know). The food was beautiful. I asked for chilli for the pasta dish (I like spice) and they brought me more out straight away. The linguine is great for those who want a warming of spice, and I gladly could have eaten the whole dish again. Onion rings are beautiful (managed to nick some coleslaw of my friends plate too) bloody gorgeous! They have a great selection of drinks, my fave non alcoholic is the appletizer, however if you want an alcoholic cocktail, Jenny makes the best margaritas. The menu is so varied, we went on a Sunday and although I didn’t want a Sunday dinner, they looked banging. Great place to go to in the centra of Macc.

Came for our Christmas works do. Decided to wait in the bar area and have a cocktail first. The young lady on the bar, Jenny, was very welcoming and polite. And she definitely knows her way around cocktails! Eventually the rest of my party started to arrive so we were seated upstairs. The food we had all pre ordered started coming out and wowsers! Everything was delicious. Sadly could not finish the desert as I was full. Everything was cooked beautifully, the staff were so welcoming and managed to serve the very large group patiently and politely. Shall be coming back again with out a doubt!

Food excellent, service good ,atmosphere good ,,very expensive but the food was good £30 for a steak then like £4 for anything else like onion rings etc so mounted up and £25 service charge I strongly advise u read the small print and decline that only saw them twice

Last minute decision for a birthday meal for a family member. Age range from 2years to 60plus Absolutely brilliant service and atmosphere. Food was sensational. First visit for some of us but won’t be the last, thank you.

Such a shame because we love coming to prime. Everything was soggy the bread on the burgers was wet and mushy. We ended up putting most things in the air fryer.

Went for valentines day with girlfriend, food and service was brilliant.

Visited again, yet again fantastic. Tried the breakfast menu this time, the steak and eggs is perfect! Service perfect, get location, great access for the pushchair!

After hearing mixed reviews from friends, I decided to try for myself. The decor is beautiful, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere had energy but the food price does not match the quality. I ordered a baked Camembert with bread to start and the bread smelt like fish (my 12 year old daughters comment and I agreed) For the main, I chose the duck breast as recommended by our waiter and it was quite chewy - not what you’d expect for duck. My daughter chose macaroni cheese as one of her favourite meals and she ended up leaving half (child’s portion) as it was too sickly she described. However the very kind waiter noticed and offered a free dessert and she enjoyed that! I think spending £19 on duck I was expecting high quality and I was disappointed. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

The music was painfully loud, so we couldn't enjoy our meal.

Came for dinner for my sons birthday. We were the last table on a Sunday night. No one rushed us, service was just right; attentive but not too pushy. Out steaks were cooked to perfection, the strawberry daiquiri delicious. To top it all, they heard us speak Spanish and immediately put on Spanish music for us. Decor is gorgeous, very pretty! Had a wonderful meal yesterday evening. I had the salmon and it was perfectly cooked. My husband had steak. He was unsure of how to have it cooked but the manager recommended medium rare and it was perfect. The atmosphere was really relaxed and we were made to feel like special guests. Our daughter and son in law arranged for the meal and we had a wonderful evening. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent atmosphere. My family treated me to my birthday meal on Saturday night. There was superb live music, buzzing atmosphere like being in a night club but more personal. The decor and ambience were stunning. Cocktails were smashing. Service and food were a little slow and cold on arrival but you could see they were very busy. Manager noticed the delay and apologised and gave complimentary deserts. Wow, no one does that. The special touch to the birthday song and the whole room singing HB made it a delightful night to remember. Thank you Prime Cut. Will definitely return when in the area. 👌🏼👏🏼🙏🏼💕
