My wife & myself go here twice a week and it never disappoints,friendly staff and reasonably priced we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Visited Nantwich for the first time today. When we arrived we quickly looked around as it was Lunch time and we were hungry. The smell of the Fish and Chips initially pulled us towards the Pepper Street Fryer.We were immediately sat down and looked at the menu, both opting for the Fish and Chips meal with Bread and Butter, Mushy Peas and a drink for only £8.50.Our meal was with us in minutes and was fresh and hot. The fish was lovely, especially the batter. The portion size was very generous and it was great value for money.I have to say in all my years this was the best fish and chips I have ever had!! Looking forward to our return visit.

I have visited Pepper Street Fryer Nantwich Today Tuesday 8th September 2020The number of tables have been reduced in line with the Covi-19 restriction's, I had to wait a short time, but this was worth the wait. the Tables and menu's were all wiped and cleaned before I was shown to the table, I felt safe !The Meal was as usual excellent, and the owner has kept the pricing the same even though the number of tables have been halved.I did not eat out to help out, as the quality of this meal and previous meals is so high I would struggle to see the quality or value for money. even with the discount at other establishments

Food. Cleanliness . Staff. Portions. All first class. Love it. No need to go to whitby for great fish and chips.

I had chips and curry very nice , but disappointed that when asked if the chips were suitable for vegetarians , was told no as the sausages were fried in the same oil so no choice for strict vegetarians. Of which my daughter is one , even I could taste the difference so I am sure she would , this visit was before face masks had to be worn .only 2 people allowed in for the take away , and a few in the dining area

I have visited this fish and chip restaurant for the second time this afternoon. The first time was just over three years ago with my soon to be mother-in-law. The second time was today. The fish, chips and peas were just as amazing as I remembered them being all those years ago. Absolutely delicious. Crispy, thin and well cooked batter. Perfect chips. Really tasty peas. Well done to all staff.

Nipped in late afternoon for a quick tea and were mightily impressed. Opted for the special of Fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a brew for £8.50. Lovely plate of well presented food, crisp golden batter on the fish and everything was piping hot. Recommended. Please note that the restaurant closes at 4.30 although they did accommodate us, and the takeaway closes at 5.00.

Called in at lunchtime to the restaurant. Good sized portions, but was too much for the wife. We had the set fish and chips meal with tea, but the tea was served in metal tea pots that soon went cold.Good service and friendly staff and overall good value for money

If you come to Nantwich then treat yourself to a lovely fish and chip meal.We live local so sometimes we have takeaway meal and other times we go in the pleasant sitting area and have a full meal of fish ,chips peas and bread and butter,plus a pot of tea all for £8-50 The owner and staff are very friendly and smart in appearanceEverywhere is lovely and clean and tables cleared promptly There are also very clean toilet facilities on the ground floor.

First visit today, excellent service and food. Will be back. Cash only payment but cash point near by.

Found myself in Nantwich centre on a damp Mayday and spotted this chippy. Great haddock with crispy batter, cooked to order and served with a smile. Recommended

Hot fish and chips on hot plates with mushy peas steaming hot. Pot of tea and bread. Perfect sit done dinner. Staff friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. Toilets clean.

Great little chippy and at a good price. The portions where good and very tasty. Great staff to boot will go again next time I am about this area.

Lovely chip shop very busy , but we didn't wait long , we had fish chips peas bread and butter and pot tea each , it was lovely very friendly staff , very clean will deffo go back again

Decided to "eat in" , nice clean dining area, prompt service, had Fish, Chips, Curry Sauce with Bread & Butter, also a bottle of water, all for £8.50, which I found to be pretty good value, Lovely piece of fish with just the right amount of batter, chips could maybe have been cooked for just a little longer, but even so were nice enough.

The best fish and chips in nantwich and surrounding area....always do fresh fish lightly battered as requested......nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely fish and chips, and big cones of chips. Chips fluffy with crisp outside, and white fresh tasting fish. Friendly staff and fast service. All nice and clean surroundings.

Hubby and I decided to have a couple of hours walking around Nantwich Cheshire, we said we would have some lunch out whether it be fish and chips, restaurant, pub. We came across the Pepper Street Fryer, took a look in and decided to have lunch there. We went and sat down, the place is spotless, A young waitress came and took our order, not long afterwards the food arrived. What a plate full of beautiful food. The fish was absolutely lovely, the batter was so golden and crispy and when I cut in to the fish it was so white and flaky. My husband noticed how lovely the cutlery was, shiny and very clean and the tea cup was spotless, not marks at all. I have to say that the next time we go to Nantwich we will definitely be going back there, from start to finish the service and food were first class. Well done Pepper Street Fryer, keep up the good work.

Great meal. The haddock was delicious and the whole meal nice and hot nice coffee as well Good service even though the shop was very busy

Have ate in here a couple of times now. Fish is beautifully fresh (whether cod or haddock), and the batter is golden brown and crispy, just as it should be. Great chips, good portion of them and the mushy peas aren’t sour and runny, like in some places. Excellent meal!

On a day trip from Leicestershire to Nantwich with a friend (I lived in Wistaston 30 odd years ago so a bit of a nostalgia visit). I had read the reviews about Pepper Street Fryer and decided to give it a try - we were not disappointed. Beautiful white fish and nicely cooked chips and peas (all served piping hot), bread and butter and tea all for £7.50. Loved the fish shaped plates. Perhaps the assistants could have been a bit more welcoming when we went in but even so we would highly recommend this chippy.

This Fish and Chips is the best I have had in a long time. We ate in it was a bargain £7.50 Fish Chips, Tea, Bread & Butter Great Value Pipping hot, excellent service waited few mins and food was there

Was drawn in by the lovely smell and was not disappointed. Bought fish and chips and still lovely and warm....and crispy when I got home in the car.

This little fish and chip shop is excellent - so tasty and perfectly cooked haddock and chips - highly recommended and great value.

Great little fish and chip restaurant ( seats about 40). The food is good, equal quality whether you eat in or take away.

Best chips we have tasted. Piping hot and plenty of them. I would highly recommend a visit, a real treat.

This place is definitely one of the best fish & chip place in Nantwich, if not THE best. It is quite small and busy so it can be crowded quite quickly! The fish is just so good here and chips as well! Sadly though it's not open during the evening....

Popped in with the family as this is their local. Place is well decorated and quite roomy, far bigger than it looks from outside.

Standard chippy fayre, with a sit down plate service area if you want it. All things good, except, oddly - the chips. I like mine golden and well cooked. These are always floppy and very pale. Shame.

Called here one afternoon with my sister and niece, and had a really good meal. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was served quickly. This is a really good chippy

Right, straight to the point - the fish and chips are just excellent, cooked really well and the restaurant is very pleasant - BUT - the young girls who are serving at tables are totally appalling, the worst I've ever seen - miserable bordering on being rude and offensive.

Both my partner and myself have been many times to eat here. The food is always fresh and tastes great with good sized portions. The fish bites meal comes with six fish bites, all are large and full of fish. The decor is pleasant. The only downside is that the young girls who serve never smile and seem quite rude, and they only do fruity curry sauce which is very sultarnary, I would like to have a plain chip shop curry sauce from a chippy not a fruity or spicy one.

Well worth the money, had fish and chips. Everything cooked just right, polite young staff and the premises is spotless. Well done

Ordered large portion of chips as quite hungry. Very disappointed when I opened container as could actually count the amount of chips inside. They were barely warm, soggy and mingled with little crispy bits. Put most of them in nearest bin. Will not be using again.

I work nearby and visit this place regularly but I don't think they understand the concept of service with a smile. It's a shame really because the food really is good - just don't like change being dumped into my hand and all done with a complete lack of eye contact

Ordered a takeaway as we wanted to sit by the park nearby...The portions are pretty big so it was quite filling.The fish was good but the chips was a little soggy. We also get to choose sides from peas mash, bbq sauce or curry...

A good quality Fish & Chip shop set in Nantwich town centre. High standard of food although I found the service below average, a bit more instruction to the young girl behInd the counter would not go amiss. However the Fish and Chips I ordered and was served were excellant, far better than the chip shop on the next street which I've also recently tried, from now it will be Pepper St. Fryer all the way

Excellent service as soon as arrived, prompt delivery of drinks followed by our fish lunch. The batter was excellent, thin well cooked and crisp best i have had in a long time. The chips hot and fresh. The fish and chips are as nice as i can remember and wont be long before i return.

Quick service and great to be served chips that are edible ! Lovely chips & battered sausage.The only down side was that it was very warm in the cafe and i dont like eating when feeling too warm.I seen they had air con but it wasnt switched on ! the heat from the friers made it unpleasant.Apart from that a lovely chippy !

Just came back from Greece today and my wife suggested fish and chips as neither of us felt like cooking .... she didn't need to ask twice, this is the best cod that I've tasted in years and always cooked so well by the owner.

Visited here today whilst having a mooch around Nantwich. The food was fabulous. My partner had the fish special and I had the sausage special. Portions were huge and the food was very tasty and filling. My partner said it was possibly the best fish and chips he'd ever eaten. Friendly and quick service just added to this excellent experience. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again 10/10!!

We deliberately made a stop off in Nantwich to visit this cafe. We had been before and we were NOT disappointed.

Popped in for lunch and found some of the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. The service was fast and efficient too, and the place was spotless, including the toilets!

This is the best fish & chip bar for miles! The staff are lovely, the cafe is spotlessly clean & the fish & chips are delicious. Portions are quite big & if we are not very hungry we share one meal, weare always given an extra plate. Can't recommend this place enough.

I Visited Pepper Street Fryer Nantwich, Saturday 16th January 2016. The table I choose was immediately re cleaned; I was given time to make my choice, the tea, bread & butter arrived by return, after a short wait the Fish & Chips arrived delivered politely. It was a good portion that filled the plate, hot, an excellent meal, good value for money. The waitress checked if everything was OK!!

In addition to the usual Fish & Chip options you can also sit at the sizeable restaurant.The all-in option includes a drink and bread and butter,is excellent value and has table service.

The best fish and chips we have tasted in a long while. I was reluctant to try the place as I am usually disappointed with the quality of fish and chips. Our usual eating place in Nantwich was full so we decided to try this chippy. What a pleasant surprise, excellent food and outstanding service. the young waitress went out of her way to help us and other customers. Will definitely return and hopefully my love of fish and chips will be revived.

This is a wonderful sit-in chippy. The fish dinner being excellent value, very nice fish and an ample portion. The cafe is spotless and well presented with efficient staff. Thoroughly recommended.
