The best restaurants in Dane Valley Cheshire East North West

Well, what can l say, warm welcome, excellent service and really good food. Thoroughly enjoyed it, will definitely return on my next visit.

I wanted to leave a review as I couldn’t believe there was even one bad review on here! Really delicious breakfast and great service, we had the steak rosti, which was cooked to perfection with a perfect runny egg! It’s great that there are a few different breakfast options on there, which typically you don’t get in other places. We even overheard someone saying “it was the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had” as they were leaving, so I know what I’ll be getting next time :)

As soon as you walk in you get a warm welcome, great atmosphere, and the cocktails are great lots of different choices. I will definitely be back to try the food and more cocktails.

We’ve always loved Holmes sweet home and we’re so delighted when they upgraded to their new shop - it’s a great venue. The menu is far more than a dessert shop with great breakfast and lunch bits as well as amazing desserts, milkshakes etc. Staff are always friendly, helpful and squeeze us in if we haven’t been able to book.

My first ever review on here ! I don’t normally write reviews but this little gem of a place needs a mention! Lovely warm welcome by the owner and her small team, met with proper coffee and a superb lunch - I had Welsh rarebit and my friend had the poached eggs on toast - both done to perfection! I don’t even like coleslaw, but decided to try it after my friend said how nice it is - it didn’t disappoint, you can tell it’s all freshly made by the big give away of them making everything in front of you fresh to order. We took home some scones and tray bakes for our families- they went down an absolute treat! Apologies for the gushing first post, but when you find somewhere that’s as welcoming, and great food, you want to support them, especially with it being an independent business.

I had booked a table for 3 family members for last night and gave the restaurant a list of my food issues. The guys at the restaurant could not do enough to make sure that the food I had pre-ordered was good for me and just kept checking that the meal was fine. The meal was great for all 3 of us and the service was just fantastic - so well organised and all the serving staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Called in last Friday evening after deciding to go for a run out in the car to try somewhere different for a change. We looked it up online before we went to see if it was dog friendly. On arrival, we walked past a group of lads who thought it funny to make a comment and have a good old laugh about one of the people in our group who happens to be disabled, like they've never seen a disabled person before. Didn't even bother to wait until we were out of earshot before pointing and joking to his mates. What a lovely welcome. We couldn't get near the bar to get served for all the locals clogging up the bar and not one of them had the courtesy to move aside to allow us to get served. There was a fella with a big black dog clogging up the thoroughfare who could see I was trying to get past and just sat there with no intentions of getting his dog to move out of the way. I either had to step over it or walk round the other way. He clearly had a sense of entitlement. We'd just called in for drinks but the first woman who served us told us we couldn't sit in the main part of the pub as we had a dog and had to go and sit in the back room because it had a wooden floor, even though the main part of the pub was full of other dogs as well as a few rowdy kids playing darts, so not sure why we weren't welcome in the main part of the pub. We were shown to a room at the back which was dark and dingey and had no atmosphere because nobody else was in there except us. We felt awkward and far away from where all the atmosphere was. We'd specifically chosen to go to this pub because it said it was dog friendly and it looked like it had a warm atmosphere on the photos with it's wooden beams, real open fire and cosy seating; it looked like a traditional country pub. It was this part of the pub we really wanted to be in not some dark candlelight back room on our own. It felt like we were about to conduct a seance. Not sure why we were pushed in to sitting there when the rest of the pub was full of dogs and there were tables free by the fireplace. I went up to the bar for a second round of drinks and asked for a vodka and coke and the girl reached for a bottle of coke from the fridge to which I said, "No, I'd like draught coke please" rather than pay through the nose for bottled coke. Rather rude and condescendingly I was told that the draught was Cola and NOT coke, like it was my mistake for not specifying. Surely it's obvious that when I say coke I mean it in the generic sense. She should have asked rather than just assume trying to make me look stupid. She was just being pedantic and rude. We felt overall the staff and customers were quite rude and ignorant and made us feel quite unwelcome as if it was a locals pub for local people. We decided after two drinks to head back home as we didn't feel comfortable staying there any longer. The locals starred at us as we walked out like we were aliens. Rather apt given the name of the pub. Wouldn't be surprised if they gossiped about us after we left. A local village pub with rude, small minded people. Quite expensive for drinks as well. Not worth the visit. Won't be returning.

Nice pub, friendly staff, average pub food, nice village with some lovely walks.

Un maravilloso salón de té. Pedimos, por adelantado, cena de cordero asado. Fue muy, muy bueno de hecho. La zona es pequeña , sin embargo la muy buena comida y el personal muy acogedor lo compensan. Los pasteles se ven divinos y saben deliciosos. Sentí que nada era demasiado pedir, ya que el personal es tan amable. Una verdadera joya local.

El club de la cena es increíble! Nos encanta gbe café también, pero no podemos recomendar la experiencia mensual de la noche. Un menú bien preparado con maridajes de vinos que son tan sabrosos que volveremos a por el tercero este mes. Es muy buena relación calidad-precio también y el personal es servicial y el servicio es rápido.

¡Algo de la comida era excepcional! ¡Algunos eran pobres! El servicio era amateur, algunas damas de las comidas escolares. Nos ofrecieron una mesa diminuta para dos, a lo que me negué. Entonces me ofrecieron una mesa de tamaño razonable con un mantel. El personal estaba desinteresado en nuestra orden apertif y a £ 30 para dos hubiera esperado un mejor servicio. El menú carecía de carne y un Filet Minion de 6 onzas a más de 22 libras probablemente necesitaría una lupa. El servicio del vino era débil, las damas no parecían saber lo que estaban haciendo. ¡La idea de beber vino con el entrante de salmón ahumado se consideró extraña! ¡Gambas reales! ¡Del tamaño de mi pulgar! ¿Alguna vez han estado en Tailandia? Las patatas dauphinoise parecían sin cocinar y dejé las mías en paz. Tan cerca de ser excelente, entrena al personal que espera y puede que reciban un gourmand Bib!

Pedí el kebab de cordero de su menú de parrilla de Zayn. Afortunadamente no había mucho cordero y era muy masticable. No es realmente de gran calidad allí. Puedo imaginarme solo salirme con la suya en un curry pero cuando se expone en un simple kebab seco no se sostiene. Es una pena porque los sabores están ahí. Un kebab básico de cordero cuesta unos diez centavos, así que buscas carne decentemente tierna y suculenta allí. ¡Vamos Jalfrezi, puedes hacerlo mejor!

La comida, el establecimiento y el servicio son atroces! Me desconcierta quién le ha dado a esto una calificación de 5 estrellas, lo más probable es que hayan atado amigos y familiares para calificar. Pedimos que se entregara comida que era tarde, que podría haberse pasado por alto, pero la comida era asquerosa. Probado y las 3 piezas que estaban en el korma no se cocinaron! Terminó arruinando todo el lote.

Tuvimos una muy buena experiencia disfrutando de una cocina sabrosa, fresca y auténtica. 1/4 de pato, tostadas de gambas y pollo con chile. Buen servicio de las chicas. La única razón para el 4 no 5 es £ 2. 90 cobrado por un pequeño ramekin de salsa extra hoi sin. Hubiera sido una propina más grande. Volveré.
