I wanted to leave a review as I couldn’t believe there was even one bad review on here! Really delicious breakfast and great service, we had the steak rosti, which was cooked to perfection with a perfect runny egg! It’s great that there are a few different breakfast options on there, which typically you don’t get in other places. We even overheard someone saying “it was the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had” as they were leaving, so I know what I’ll be getting next time :)

I have had many breakfasts/brunches out in my life, and had many fry ups, I can honestly say they do the best fry up in the UK, huge sausages, bacon is always cooked perfectly! Hash browns are to die for! I have never seen such a perfect poached egg! Always remember my Tabasco sauce when I sit down. Staff very friendly and personable! Couldn’t recommend more can’t wait to go back once the renovations are completed.

Not been here before and just called in this morning on the off chance as shopping in Holmes Chapel. Had a large breakfast which was really lovely, very hot and all ingredients were of high quality and cooked to perfection, lovely sour dough toast on the side. Fast service even though it was very busy and staff were very friendly without being intrusive. A lovely menu with lots of different choices which all sounded delicious! Took home some of the delicious looking home baked cakes to try with my family later. Most definitely would recommend and will be going back.

Absolutely fantastic! Delicious food served by friendly people in a cosy setting. Every course was 10/10!. I was so full before the dessert but had to finish every dish. We'll definitely be back, thank you ❤️.

We’re lucky enough to eat out three or four times a week & have visited The Village Kitchen twice since it launched. The menu is a little different to the norm (which isn’t a bad thing). I’ve tried the Grilled Cheese with Tuna, Cheddar & Mozzarella, which was amazing! I’ve also had the Eggs Benedict which was one of the nicest I’ve ever tasted. My husband had the Bacon Sandwich which got a big thumbs up. Only slight criticism was the coffee which he loved on our first visit but isn’t quite as nice since they recently changed supplier. Looking forward to trying more of the menu on future visits. A definite welcome addition to the village.

It was with high expectations that we entered the newly established cafe, new owners since September. We are making it our goal to sample all of the cafes in HC this autumn. Can the recently acquired Village Kitchen beat The Cobbles?? Let’s find out. I ordered vegan sausage and mushroom on toast and he ordered a small breakfast. I was saddened when my two sausages and albeit large mushroom arrived on one paltry round of sourdough toast with no butter/margarine. I could not believe it. I asked for another round of toast immediately. The small breakfast was nice but barely any beans at all! Essentially my take on this experience is that we are supposed to be supporting local businesses but I am finding it difficult to justify £10 for a sausage and mushroom sandwich. Yes £10. Not going there again. Cobbles still the clear winner

Following the excellent breakfast I'd had here previously I this time decided to try the bird and beast burger. It was, without a doubt, one of the best burgers of my career! The quality was superb with some outstanding fried chicken 👌 Can't recommend here enough, top knotch food and lovely people.

Wow fantastic! Having recently come under new ownership we have visited a few times recently and it has to be said these guys are creating something very special here. The staff team has increased in numbers and offer a really efficient friendly service, but its the food where the quality shines best. You can tell immediatly that the food sourced is of the highest quality and from reading the menus, mainly all produced locally. With Homemade Scotch eggs, and homemade sausage rolls baked each morning and the best breakfast around, we just want to say thanks for adding something special to our village

We called in on the second day the new owners took over for Brunch. I went for the Big Breakfast. Wow! Fantastic plateful. Two of everything cooked to perfection. The sausages and black pudding were outstanding. Friendly staff, speedy service and great atmosphere. I couldn't resist taking home some sausage rolls and slices of egg custard. Heaven help my diet.

Lovely afternoon tea for three. Two of us vegetarian but didn't feel like we missed out at all. Everything freshly prepared and friendly service - even after I got the time wrong and arrived 30 mins later than expected! Would recommend highly.

This is a brilliant cafe. Giving employment opportunities to adults with a learning disability. Lovely tables and comfortable chairs. I had a lovely latte and bakewell brownie, my son enjoyed his tea and brownie. I purchased a lovely loaf of bread. No bread baked today but usually you can see the bread being made. Great service. Amazing place.

What a great place! The breakfast was excellent, the decor beautifully done with a mixture of themes and all the staff were fabulously cheerful and helpful. What’s not to like? Great to see an independent doing so well in these days of multinational chains. They have lots of regulars coming in and not surprising! Highly recommended! Thank you to you all.
