Arrived early and asked the lady on the counter if she would make me a coffee despite not being open yet. She was kind enough to oblige (despite admitting to not being a barrister) and made me a lovely cappuccino! Extremely friendly too which is always a bonus after a 4 hour drive.

Uncomfortable seating, looks like ex school chairs, raving expensive at over £8 for soup and sandwiches and not that great either. Won't be going again, people who thinks it's good value must have money to burn

Very overpriced and not very good food. We had breakfast and the eggs were fried to a crisp with solid yolks, not fit to eat and astonished they even served them up. The rest of the food on the plate was poor value for the money compared to anywhere else we have visited. I don't mind high prices but expect decent quality. You do get an awful lot of bread though. Ordering is a mystery but it seems you have to order at the unattended till hidden in the corner. A sign above it to say "Order here" would be a great help. I had a hot chocolate which was both generous and pleasant so don't want to sound critical of everything. Others seemed to be enjoying their food so maybe the breakfast isn't the best choice from the menu. Have visited twice in the last 6 months, gave them the benefit of the doubt first time but second visit was no better.

What a lovely find! The staff were so friendly & the food was delicious & generous portions. Had the Turkey Club, with proper roast turkey, crispy bacon & a really good fresh side salad. Partner had huge pieces of cheese & chilli on toast with egg. Oh, the cakes looked amazing but we were full. Very good value too (£12 per head) & looking forward to a return. A few nice shops & garden centre for a mooch also.

Visited first thing on Sunday morning. Ordered 2 breakfasts 2 coffee's , & a takeaway Bacon & Sausage sandwich. Menu stated Doorstop Toast with the breakfast, waitress brought that before the breakfast said have no doorstop bread so gave us 2 pieces of *normal * sliced. Not 2 minutes after table behind us had doorstop toasted sandwiches.. odd....Food was ok, not as good as has been, poor sausages, black pudding cooked well. Coffee's were only luke warm. Takeout sandwich brought to table when we'd finished as I asked. Sandwich on doorstopbread!!!! Odd... & a fib 🤔. Service from waitress good. Defently not worth the £44.00 price tag. Unfortunately wouldn't return. Disappointed,

Unfortunately we had a bad lunch experience today, normally I wouldn't post online but as the staff failed to follow up and ask how our meal was so I thought I would leave the review here. We ordered a children's cheese sandwich only to be brought with the wrong order. They did correct the order straight away but instead of just apologising they put the blame on the person taking the order saying it had been put through incorrectly (this level of detail wasn't needed). The second sandwich we received (although the correct filling) was pre gated cheese (with the flour exterior) and the bread had no butter, you lifted the sandwich and all the cheese fell out, not something you could feed your 6 year old or 1 year old. Third sandwich came as big doorstop cheese - again not great for kids but by this point we had given up. Adults meals - oatcake and burrito were ok but far too much cheese If I were to visit again I would just stick to coffee and cake. It was far too expensive for the meals we received, and the children's picnic platter was not worth the cost

Great little gem just off the M6. Far better food than a motorway services. Reasonable amount of parking with the addition of a farm shop, very small garden nursery and a few other shops. Out of town area so plenty of fresh air. Seating inside and some sheltered outside. Excellent cooked breakfast is a good choice. Easy access for wheel chairs and buggies. One spacious toilet in the cafe. Definitely recommend.

My wife had the goats cheese and beetroot salad which was significantly better than my ploughman's. £12 for a few leaves, 2 pickled onions, a pot of Branston, a slice of bread, a few grapes and 2 fingers of cheddar cheese would have been overpriced at half of what I paid. As we're in the area for a week we had hoped that it may be a place to have lunch but cannot envisage returning.

First visit to the establishment and very happy to see that they have lots more than just a café (not that café on there own are a bad thing I may add) the fresh fruit and veg section along with in house butchers and other amenities will have you spoilt for choice, outside the seating area looks lovely although bitterly cold to sit there in mid December so will definitely be returning in the warmer months, also on the outside there seems to be independent retailers which offer a different twist from the garden centre (which as a gardener myself I found very reasonably priced) the golf barn looks intriguing as do the hypnotherapy and if you have managed to read this far the inclusion of a dog groomer and spa will also keep your pooches happy.

Stopped off today with my 5 month old baby and honestly was blown away by how nice the girls were and how helpful they were, you just dont get people like this often, I needed to feed my baby straight away so one lady came to me and asked could she get me a drink while I fed and said don't worry about paying until later, then they brought me a menu which you should grab yourself on way in, they took me a latte then took my food order, food was great and I didn't get chance to touch my latte so I asked could I take it away and another lady then kindly said I will make you a nice fresh one!! Nice enough little cafe, coffee and cake were good. Absolutely appalled at the audacity to try and charge £8 for a bacon/sausage sandwich. Cry foul on inflation or energy or whatever but you’re just straight scamming people at that price. Everyone knows the costs of Ingredients, even with local produce premiums. Having a laugh with that one.

I have enjoyed snacks and a drink here ,quite a few times, never disappointed.the staff and the food are both great.,---however you do allow dogs, and today for me this was a problem. I would think they would be better situated in the outside cover area.there were 2 dogs in the main area.one was continually sitting on the owners lap, snuffling the table and eating treats off it.the other one was carried to the till, and in its owners arms , it's rear was too near the display of scones.,!!!!!I truly am a dog lover, but they do have a place, not very hygienic.

I wanted to thank the staff at Byley yesterday as they were so lovely and couldn't do enough to cater for our needs as vegan's. Farm shops are not traditionally somewhere that I frequent being a vegan but as I was given a voucher I thought I'd try and I was pleasantly surprised as they were able to give me a couple of options for food, which in a small establishment is more than some others I have been to over the past few years. So a big shout out to the ladies that were in yesterday, thank you

I was disappointed to see that there were no vegan options so I had to make do with a bag of crisps. When asked, all they could offer was salad with a potato. When veganism is becoming more common, it makes sense for this cafe to move with the times. Not quite what I was hoping for to keep me fueled on a 60 mile bike ride.

Wow! Let me introduce you to an Australian delicacy, as highlighted by the 'Big Yin' Mr. Billy Connelly. Take a square steak pie from G&P, an Italian pasta plate filled with Mushy Peas and place said pie in the centre, season with salt & pepper, and perhaps a truckle of gravy/brown sauce. It's called a 'Pie Floater'. You will not be Disappointed. EXCELLENT!

I can’t thank the lovely ladies at Ginger&Pickles enough after my visit today! I visited with my 4month old baby to meet some friends for coffee and cake. Unfortunately my baby was very unsettled and crying a lot, I was unable to settle her straight away so went outside as other diners were looking at us and I presumed I was ruining their meal. This upset me as it has never happened before. A lovely waitress came out to me to see if she could help in anyway and when she realised i upset, she made sure we were both ok and made me feel much better after a chat! When I came back inside, the staff had taken away my cold coffee and bought me a fresh hot coffee. They all made sure we were ok and wouldnt accept payment for my replacement coffee! You have no idea how these small gestures and kindness can help a new mamma and I couldn’t be more grateful! Thankyou so much xx Oh and the cakes and coffee were delicious!

We went to the flower pot pub last year when we where on holiday from Australia and again several weeks ago while visiting again and enjoyed our meals that were served with friendly smile and very professional service. As a result it was a very special day for us today being my mother in laws 100th birthday today so we came back for a birthday Sunday lunch. The service was the same as before with the excellent meals and service, on leaving, to top it off my mother in law was presented with a bottle of bubbly, which was a lovely surprise and she was so pleased Once again we would like to thank you for a very special day and would like to recommend The Flower Pot for any occasion. We will see you again soon before our return to Australia Best Regards Reg Jones and family.
