Nice pub, decent food, limited atmosphere but so so expensive for what you get. Gastro pub prices for dark kitchen type food. Ranked down for lack of value for money.

I went to the flower pot recently for the first time a few nights ago for a few drinks with friends. What a lovely place! It's clean, modern and the staff were great, especially Lewis behind the bar who was run off his feet, but still found the time to be attentive and funny! Would definitely go again.

Really friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, clean, flower themed interior, tasty food in generous portions, good toilet facilities, easy access for wheelchair users.

Great first experience and will be back! Sunday dinner was lovely, could well be the best Nut Roast I've ever had. Glenn was really helpful with excellent customer service. We will be back!

Just had a wonderful Easter Sunday family meal here, the food was delicious very filling although I still managed to squeeze a Light Dessert with a Cappuccino. The pub is clean staff very friendly and helpful I would highly recommemd it to anyone who has not been before, I have NEVER had a bad meal here it gets 5 star rating from me.

Everything was great apart from the food. Nothing bad but at best mediocre. We got a roast and fish and chips. Neither me nor my partner were impressed unfortunately, if anything we both felt underwhelmed. We were really looking forward to a good meal after a long hike, but unfortunately it didn't happen.

Food,drinks and overall experience with staff were very good. I think it was just a bit overpriced

Well!! What a pub!! Great staff, the team were so attentive, food really really good, nice walk round Macclesfield forest followed by a late lunch / early dinner at the pub! That’s what family days are about!

Big pub at an excellent location. Has a lot of outdoor seating, great lighting and choice of food and drinks. The vibe is one of the best you could get, there is a pool table and occasional live music. Staff are friendly and offer good service. The only downside in my opinion are the prices - definitely a bit on the higher side. Excellent for an occasional visit with friends or family, but perhaps not that budget friendly for frequent visits. I'd still rate 5 stars as it serves what it advertises and I liked it. Plenty of parking, so likely to find a space almost always.

From arrival to meal to leaving. We had a young lady called Beth, who served myself, my daughter & my friend. She smiled all the time spoke to us as though she was glad to serve us. As a Deaf person I was happy to enjoy a lovely meal just the right amount & very tasty 😋. I received a 33% discount on the bill and the food was amazing, especially the tomato soup and fries.. super crispy as requested by us with lots of grana padano cheese.. cheese garlic bread was so soft and delicious. I just hoped you could have informed me about the 33% off via email as your loyal customer with a history of repeat patronage! Always great food and top service at the flowerpot. Glen is a great landlord and always looks after the mother in law when we visit. Would highly recommend.

Great chain pub with good food and plenty of parking. Can get a bit busy at times making it hard to find a seat but much easier with loads of outdoor seating in the summer.

Food was great, the staff were nice. There were nice little flower pot touches such as the pictures on the toilet doors and the pots for the sauces. Would definitely go again!

Have eaten here many times before. Cant fault the Staff, so friendly & attentive all the time. Thank you. Back to the food - I do love the Chilli beef Salad. Had another amazing meal there today. You’ve really got to try the Fish Chip Shop fries. I’m a bit partial to the Helles pint of lager. Light & crisp… thanks Flowerpot!

We celebrated our Book Club Christmas Party at the Flower Pot a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time! The pub was beautifully decorated with fairy lights everywhere, the food was delicious and the staff brilliant. They went the extra mile and even decorated the table! Thank you for making the evening so magical 🎄

Local, but popular, well run, food good but old school pub feel preserved. Worth a visit.

Spacious pub with plenty of parking. Ideal place to meet up for drinks/meal. It’s got a good menu and the food is very good. It’s reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. The Robinson’s beer is great.

Had a Sunday Roast 😌 it was nice, filling, and we enjoyed it.

Visited with Rock Choir who were singing at the venue. The staff were great and very accommodating considering the large amount of people that arrived all at the same time! A number of us stayed for lunch and the food looked good. I opted for the mushroom and truffle tortellini which was delicious.

Food waa fantastic, couldn't fault it. Only gave 3 stars however, as the service was not great. Staff were stood around chatting, rather than serving, had to keep going up to ask for everything, and no check backs, which is a shame as the place is lovely.

We went to the flower pot pub last year when we where on holiday from Australia and again several weeks ago while visiting again and enjoyed our meals that were served with friendly smile and very professional service. As a result it was a very special day for us today being my mother in laws 100th birthday today so we came back for a birthday Sunday lunch. The service was the same as before with the excellent meals and service, on leaving, to top it off my mother in law was presented with a bottle of bubbly, which was a lovely surprise and she was so pleased Once again we would like to thank you for a very special day and would like to recommend The Flower Pot for any occasion. Poped in as we had a big let down in a local nearby pub🤪 I was with the wife and her close friend; best meal we all had in a very, very long time; I always go for my favourite dish which is fish and chips and I cannot remember a better fish and chips that I’ve eaten anywhere in this country; the two ladies couldn’t believe the quality of the meals served to the three of us - superb; had a chat with manager as I was leaving and found that he was related to an old friend I had the crack with many a time 5* management for me 👍 going tomorrow for another favourite meal of mine 👍

We didn't actually eat here on a visit to Macclesfield. We popped in for food to be told it was rammed and there were no seats. When we asked if there were SIMILAR places to eat the staff sent us on a wild goose chase to what can only be described as a miners welfare down the road that looked scruffy and run down . Try better guys it's not a joke or competition we might have returned had we not been messed about

Great lunchtime food. But... your chunky chips were a little "Al dente"?. Fry them hotter and longer... get them crispy 👍

We went forc3 big Birthdays and it was a group of 11 of us. Food was great service was great and all food came out together for a big group that good. Staff were amazing 👏

Came for a date nite with the wife the staff were amazing in everyway we ordered food were the wait was 25 min it came piping hot and wow it was amazing a credit to the chefs . Stayed for drinks after the atmosphere was great and a great feeling . Beth was exceptionally in every way and a asset and a great person to promote robbinsons brewery

If not one of the best pubs in Macclesfield, with great food and drinks. Is always really busy and a large beer garden front and back which makes it ideal in summer. Regular customer and always recommend it to friends

Sam and glen are the perfect hosts for any occasion you wish to hold. Such lovley staff to. they all made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond for us and our guests at our marriage blessing. the pub looked amazing glen does a fantastic job at decorating it for your special occasion. he puts in such lovley touches we were absoloutly overwelmed with how beautiful the pub looked.. the food was delicious all served to the guests on platters by the lovley staff and plentyful. We very highly recomend holding any event at the flowerpot. Thankyou so much your both the most amazing hosts. Mr & mrs turner.. 😊

The manager ben is a very angry little man. Very rude and abrupt. Wouldn't recommend. Was shouting at some children playing on the grass in a manner where if was my children he would have been on his back side. Seems to have anger issues. Idiot seems very narcasstic. Won't be returning

If I could give a 0 star review, I would. Totally unprofessional. We paid and booked part of the pub for my brothers 30th birthday party months ago, and they rang me today and said they have double booked and are cancelling my booking. A week before the party. Too short notice to book anywhere else now, invites have been sent out and everything. One of the managers I spoke to on the phone had little man syndrome and ended the call abruptly on me because I told him how poor of a service this is and how I’ll be sharing my experience. Won’t be coming here again.

The cheese & onion pie was disappointing and unnecessarily served with gravy !. Everything else was fine although warm not hot. Large portions & adequate choice.

Lovely pub with a great beer garden. The Sunday roasts are fab, and there's a great choice on the main menu. Not fine dining but really good pub grub!

It's an ok large pub, but won't be visiting again since they allowed David Cameron and David Rutley to visit as part of a PR stunt for the Conservative party.
