We've had takeaway curries from Jalfrezi on many occasions and they have always been of great quality. It's that consistent level of quality and reliability that makes this place a winner. They cook the food in an open kitchen at the back so you can watch the magic happening - the smells are amazing.

Ordered online and I was charged full price even when my meal was on special offer. When I asked they said they could not do anything about it. After using Jalfrezi since they opened in the village I will go to the Pink Garlic from now on. This is day light robbery and definitely not good customer service.

We used to regularly enjoy good curries from here, but unfortunately over the last couple of months the dishes have been very poor. Wondering if the chef has changed. Tonight’s were bland again….one was so watery I had to drain the water off it ! It was more like a soup ! Such a shame; we won’t be recommending or ordering again.

There was a time around a year or two ago that I accepted that living in this area guaranteed a poor chewy lamb curry. I included the Jalfrezi in this. However I have been super impressed with the softness of the lamb in the past few curries .Almost exceptional. I may be just lucky but I would 100% recommend you give this place another go. Very impressed and tonight’s lamb saagwala was excellent!

Order a mixture of dishes for home delivery and a family meal. Food was delivered quickly and was piping hot. Food was really tasty, I had a chilli masala, we also had Chicken Tikka Masala, some starters popadoms and naan. Excellent value and excellent quality

Ordered meal at 5pm by delivery service. Guy on the phone didn't say when it was going to arrive so I presumed at least in 45mins (tops) I rang back an hour later to find out where our order was . The guy on the phone lied and said he said itll be just after 6. Then he said we should recieve it in 5/10mins. 6.30 still nothing we were all starving by now. We rang again and he said the driver should be with you soon. We then said sod we'll cancel and order else where. Then he arrived because we were starving we excepted it. And the food tasted bland nothing special at all. I wouldn't bother with this place customer service is abysmal they lie and the food isn't that great.

The best Indian food by a country mile. Beautiful food always. Cannot be any better. Exceptional!!!!

This is a really good Indian. Great choice of meals, lots of customised versions you can do on your order. Always get extras for free and the staff are really nice as well. Chicken tikka samber a winner. Fast delivery

Ordered a takeaway tonight & was really let down, poppadoms were gorgeous& mango chutney too, couldn't taste the garlic on the garlic naan bread, the chicken korma sauce wasnot creamy like it usually is....it was very very watery & no taste 😢😢

Ok, so I have held back from leaving this place a review, because I have been on the fence about.....its very hit and miss but recently the food has just gone down hill.

Mixed kebab starter huge and superb. Lamb meat ok, but no better, whilst chicken was excellent. Very tasty naan. Definitely will return.

The food here is awesome and now they deliver, so you don't have to pick up any more, my No 1 choice

We ordered lamb we got chicken. Actually we aordered £80 worth of dishes for American guests who had never tastes'our' kind of curry. Three were chicken, five lamb. The dishes were picked up with the naan bread and rice and we discovered, when serving everyone, all the dishes were chicken. We phoned to complain and were told to scrap everything into the containers and bring it all back to prove this. Nice!Although cold the dishes were ok. Sadly three people in the group don't eat chicken. The rice was awful but I guess we were all jaded at this stage because how rude they were on the phone and rather nasty in their comments. Not an experience to be repeated.

We ordered the chicken pakoras and lamb tikka for starter, chicken balti and chicken jalfrezi for main accompanied by mushroom pilau rice. So much amazing food! Well defined flavours. Will be back again soon.

I decided to order a home delivery takeaway when Jalfrezi opened at 5:00pm. I placed my order and it turned out to be worth the waiting time. Very very tasty Obviously I could not eat all of it (good portions). My starter was full of different flavours as was my main dish - all fresh and really enjoyable!

Wow it took 1hour 45 mins to deliver and met with so many excuses it was an excuse handbook master piece food cold but the hottest naan breads in Cheshire we will look else where

Can only say this is excellent. We ordered late on Saturday a chicken kebab and it's the best I've ever had .

Huge portions but average food. Chicken Tandoori was toooooo dry and rock hard. Overall, I am not going to visit this place again.

Visited here several times, The dishes are full of flavour and plentiful, usually go for the madras, but also had the vindaloo dish, all very good and recommended.

El menú es amplio con muchos currys regional así como el estándar "British curry y baltis". A la llegada de la toma, tiene una cocina abierta donde podrá ver preparan su comida y la habilidad de los chefs es el entretenimiento en sí mismo. Usted siempre recibirá una cálida bienvenida y su pedido será siempre contiene algunos cargos extras gratis es un buen toque. La comida estaba por encima de lo que esperaba y, de hecho, fue delicioso y no caen en aceite y algunas tiendas pueden como. Incluso lados los lados eran deliciosos y recomendaría este llevar a cualquiera. Really friendly staff, delicious food. What more do you want? Their starters are delicious and they do a discount on a Sunday if you can't be bothered making a roast.

Hemos tenido un poco de aquí y tienen en promedio ha sido muy buena. Tuvimos una comida hace 2 años que era tan grasienta que era incomible, pero ya que ha sido excepcional. Sin embargo, no sólo comer comida vegetariana aquí así que no puedo comentar sobre la carne o el pescado. Esta noche teníamos vegetal extra con coliflor, balti pilau hongo y cilantro nan y fue excepcional.

El Jalfrezi hace deliciosa comida hindú para llevar a un nivel muy alto. Hay una buena selección en el menú o el personal es muy dispuesto a hacer algo que te gusta, que si tienen requisitos especiales.

Comida decente, cocinado en una cocina abierta. El menú es estupendo y tiene diversas opciones que no he visto en otro lugar, así como platos recomendado que me animo a probar algo nuevo. No hay opción de entrega, que es una vergüenza.

Nos pida comida aquí cada dos semanas. Esta es la cuarta vez que hemos comido comida perder del orden. Se inventaron una que ninguno de ellos tienen coches. Se inventaron una que costó conseguir un taxi (en realidad, a pesar de no preguntar donde NECESITABA...

Disfrutamos de una excelente comida para llevar después de un día agotador en el campo. Generosas raciones servidas por agradable, personal amable. Interesante ver comidas preparadas a la vista del mostrador.

We had a good takeaway from here last night. Ordering online was very easy and collection quick.The food was hot, very good and a few freebies thrown in if you order over a certain amount. It did say on the menu free chocolate cake but we didn't get that, however we didn't need it. My dansak was the best I've had. Portions are quite good. Looking forward to another next time we come to Holmes Chapel.

My first visit to the Jalfrezi takeaway. We had the Sunday special, for 1, cost £9. 95This comprised 2 poppadoms, 3 chutneys, 2 enormous onion bhajis, a bag of decent salad, a huge curry, a huge portion of pilau rice and a whopping big naan bread. There were 2 of us to feed but even two of us didn't finish this "meal for one". And only £9.95 on a Sunday. You have been warned! It was delicious too.

We have bought take aways from Jalfrezi a number of times and it is always good - we've never had a bad one. It's always well cooked and doesn't usually take too long to prepare, so waiting times are nice and short.Our last visit was missing our naan bread though, so like all takeaways I'd suggest checking everything is there before you leave. I only noticed when I got home and couldn't be bothered going back for it, but it didn't affect our meal at all. Good tasty food and very reasonably priced.

I have just had a take away tandoori King prawn from here and it us the worst thing I have ever eaten from an Indian take away! The prawns were only slightly bigger than supermarket standard prawns. They weren't marinaded or grilled at all. A quick wash under the tap and they were back to pale pink! They didn't even have enough salt and pepper let alone spices. They were in a tin foil container swimming in a watery mix of peppers and onions and they tasted of a absolutely nothing at all. When I called to complain the person I spoke to maintained that these very small prawns had been skewered and cooked in a tandoor. When I told him that they had no holes in them at all and were too small to be skewered he informed me that they have very thin skewers!I cannot recommend them!

Love this place. Authentic Indian (British palate) food.Always promptly prepared and the food is restaurant quality, in fact, wish the owners had bought Fortune City when it closed last year.

Good food freshly prepared, take away, proper traditional curries, cooked in front of you quickly and good sized portions

Used to be OK but food now often tasteless as per my chicken Tonka, how can you make that tasteless! But more annoying than that is the complete disregard of the verbal AND web ordering food order details. For the FIFTH time I ordered a thin nan bread only to be supplied with another lump of stodge. Just really poor now and beyond what is reasonable. First bad review I have ever written as I always give plenty of chances but I have just run out of patience with this place now.

There is little I can add to what other reviewers have said about this takeaway - except to heartily endorse their comments.Everything about this takeaway is good: you can order easily on their website; the service is prompt and very friendly; the food is delicious; the portions are very generous; the cost is very reasonable.If you like good Indian food and want a takeaway, this is the place for you. We've used it often before and will always go back.

Chicken pili pili highly recommended. Always good and fresh food. Huge nan breads and freebies - poppadoms and sometimes a bhaji or two. Excellent easy to use website for ordering. Shame they don't deliver but there you go.

i let the employees on my brand new Segway and went in to buy some food and they gave it to me for free it was the best food I have ever had and recommend you to try it

Jalfrezi is a fantastic Indian takeaway in Holmes Chapel. The Sunday Special is enough for 3 people and only costs GBP14.95 - great value for very tasty food!

The food is very good very tasty and the staff were friendly the place was clean the kitchen open so u can see them cooking

....although rarely dissatisfied with the quality of the food, we did stray from this takeaway due to the attitude of the guy that used to manage the orders and take payment. Fortunately the owners have now addressed this and the overall experience is improved. The traditional dishes are always good, while I tend to try different chef specials, which are equally tasty and well prepared. Very importantly for a takeaway the food has always been ready on time during our last 5-6 visits. Keep up the good standards - we'll be back soon.

Delicious food cooked fresh and in full view of the customers. Service always great. Young guy in charge very polite. Up front about card charge but directed to cash point just 30 yards along the way at Sainsburys. I have been given pakoras etc..here while waiting and also have had help carry a particularly large order back to car. Tandoori chicken, onion bhajis and naans are immense. We don't use any where else for Indian takeaways.

Love a Ruby Murray, usually have Chicken Dansak (madras hot), naan bread (best ever) and pilau rice. Can't beat Jalfrezi, just wish they'd deliver

By far the best indian takeaway I have been to. I whilst jalfrexi on around once a month and I have never had any bad food! the service is great and staff are friendly. Will never have an Indian takeaway from anywhere else as it doesn't beat jalfrezi!

If you enjoy a well flavoured curry (and I mean flavoured not just hot), then this place may well be for you. The main Chef is excellent and creates really tasty dishes regardless of how hot you like them, and they will always make a cartain dish to your taste if you ask. The Jalfrezi Massala on the Chef's specials menu is excellent and now a favourite of mine - well worth a try if want to experience something a little different - a little like sweet and sour curry- tastes far better than that description!!!Generally speaking the various accompaniments are of a reasonable standard with fresh dips etc.. however they have a tendancy to undercook the naan so ask for it well done. They also typically throw in some sort of freebee, whether it's some extra dips and poppadums or sometimes a starter. They also give you loads of rice and in my opinion one between two meals is enough.As others have mentioned, the only annoyance is the surcharge for using a card to pay and there have been occasions where I have not visited because of this. Jalfrezi - this really is a silly policy that is losing you loyal business that would more than pay for the minor bank charges incurred.

My family loves this place which is always reliable and fresh. Service is good, friendly and there are always little extras with a big order. Meat eaters and fish lovers will be hoppy but I think it is one of the few places for a takeaway that is truly great if like me you are vegetarian!

Visited my son who lives in the area, after earlier watching the Wales/England rugby at the Victoria club near by (another gem there by the way) he recommend this Indian takeaway.I know its all about peoples differing tastes but after the last 50+yrs of enjoying some great madras,s in the Stockport area ( and a few bad ones) this was as good as any that I can recall. Picked up a curry fron this place whilst staying with friends. The food was fantastic and they had a good range of options including several fish curries. I had the pathia and it was awesome. The friends of ours were regular customers - and they tell me that the service was always as good as it was on my visit. Well worth another visit!

We have been a regular customer of this take-away since it opened. Food is consistently good and value for money. Ordering online is a bonus and always ready within the time stated. I would recommend this take-away to anyone in the area who likes Indian cuisine.

Again this is my favourite takeaway and it's now got even better as you can order online, collect and pay. We were also treated to some free breads and onion bahijis. A very nice meal again and enjoyed by all.

Walked in in need of a curry getting home late after work.... Stood at the counter waiting for the rude ##%% to finish texting on his phone and serve me........I Walked out.... So Wave goodbye to at least £60 per month of my future business.... Now do us all a favour and vacate the shop to let a more deserving business that doesn't sell supermarket grade curries move in!!

great food here. They have recently introduced a surcharge for using credit cards. This will put people off as other local takeaways don't do this. I would strongly urge you to rethink this policy or you will lose loyal customers like me

I have be a patron of this restaurant from the 1st day it opened every week until July this year. The food is very good here but my treatment as a regular customer left a bitter taste in my mouth. the young guy front of house told me on my last visit that I needed to pay a £1 surcharge if I wanted to pay using plastic (Visa). The guy was quite rude about it which I found unbelievable given the money I have spent there over the last couple of years. I have voted with my wallet and will not be returning. Every cloud has a silver lining though and the Spice Junction at the station overs food of the same standard and better value too.

We often get together with friends and always order from Jalfrezi. There is usually a complimentary dish included which could be a meal in itself. The curries are really good and of a generous size and there is usually food left over which we have the following day. I usually have the Rogan Josh which is quite mild - I can recommend it.

We were excited to get back to the Jalfrezi after our Italian holiday. Wonderful takeaway - easy to order on line and I love that I can sneakily add vegatables to everyone's order! Portions are generous and we always have lots of food left over for the next night making it great value too. So tasty. See you soon :)

We phoned an order through on a Friday evening. Our food was ready in twenty minutes and was very good. I would recommend the vindaloo...hot and sour as it should be. I will definately be calling again.

Staff provide helpful advice on menu choices. Food cooked in front of you. Spotlessly clean. Flavoursome well presented food. As it is cooked to order always piping hot when we get it home.

We have been coming here since it opened. The staff are friendly and pleasant, the food is excellent and it is truly great quality. The vegetarian offerings are varied and all of good quality. Our meat eating reminds say their meals have been great too. The kitchen is open so you can see how fresh everything is. I highly recommend it.

This is a fab takeaway, even though it is not our local we still make the effort to drive over to pick it up because it so good and offers value for money. In particular the set meal for 4 is our favourite and will serve about 6 people. The portions are generous and although not too spicy are well flavoured and enjoyed by all.

I think mine is the first review of the Jalfrezi in Holmes Chapel but I really want to give a thumbs up for this excellent Takeaway. The food is cooked in front of you and the staff are so friendly. You can order and pay online and then collect your meal within half an hour of ordering. The food is really excellent and tasty as well as being good value with good sized portions. I really like the fact that you can add your own selection of vegetables to any curry dish you choose. They always greet you with a friendly smile and have usually added extra poppadoms and bhajis for good measure. I think its brilliant.
