Visited on a Friday evening, seated upstairs. Ordered the Gamberi (king prawns in garlic oil) and the bruschetta to start with followed by Posh Hawaiian and Capra (goat cheese) pizzas with Pastaccio gelato and an Affogato (vanilla gelato, Amaretto, espresso & biscotti) for dessert. The food tasted authentically Italian, a very welcome change from the bland offerings you get from so many other places. Everything was fresh and delicious and reasonably priced too. Service was friendly and attentive despite the restaurant being busy (appeared to be family run) and the soft Italian music added to the ambiance without being intrusive. Modern decor with comfortable seating and good sized solid tables upstairs. We were visiting the area for a few days and searched Italian restaurants in Crewe. Delighted we chose Gio’s. Can highly recommend.

Recently moved to the area and had noted comments on social media about the best Chinese takeaways around. We tried one a couple of weeks ago that got rave reviews but fell well short of expectations so we decided on Goomet this week despite some of the below comments. Our experience......delivered within 5 minutes of the requested time, food authentic as we like it (proper medium noodles not thin vermicelli type ones offered by another) great taste, hot, and two bags of prawn crackers, one ordered and I guess one free. No need to keep sampling now.....this will be our go to. John, no relation to this business.

Not a nice place. Was sat at the bar minding my own business and one of the locals came up behind me and put me in a choke hold, which all his friends thought has hilarious. The staff were unsympathetic. We did not stick around.

Dropped in for a coffee and got tempted by the pastries on display. Had a discussion about them with the nice, friendly young Greek lady. She helped me choose, and even mimed how the Greeks eat them--with two hands, no cutlery. I forget what it was called, but the savoury tart I selected was delicious. Had similarities with both a calzone pizza and a Cornish pasty, as it was folded and crimped. The lush filling seemed to be cheese, tomato, and ham. The cafe was run by a young couple, the guy staying behind the scenes. Their charming little son a delight. The lady chatted to me in charming broken English about Greece; and then she brought me a complimentary raisin muffin/cake to have with my second coffee. A truly Mediterranean touch. The place wasn't busy, and I hope they do well. The Corfu Cafe made my day.
