Dropped in for a coffee and got tempted by the pastries on display. Had a discussion about them with the nice, friendly young Greek lady. She helped me choose, and even mimed how the Greeks eat them--with two hands, no cutlery. I forget what it was called, but the savoury tart I selected was delicious. Had similarities with both a calzone pizza and a Cornish pasty, as it was folded and crimped. The lush filling seemed to be cheese, tomato, and ham. The cafe was run by a young couple, the guy staying behind the scenes. Their charming little son a delight. The lady chatted to me in charming broken English about Greece; and then she brought me a complimentary raisin muffin/cake to have with my second coffee. A truly Mediterranean touch. The place wasn't busy, and I hope they do well. The Corfu Cafe made my day.

Friendly staff from Greece running the business! Superb food home-made and delicious . We find what we expected as a proper Greek family.

Came across this Greek restaurant on google maps and it exceeded expectations. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We ordered 3 chicken gyros, 2 with chips and one without, which were made in an open kitchen and it came quickly with a smile :) The pitta was lovely and soft and the chicken was very tasty. The prices were great, £18.50 for food and drinks which left us full and satisfied Would definitely recommend!

We saw immediately, that costs were high. We decided that if the food was well made and tasty, we wouldn't mind the high price, 12 pounds per head is quite a lot out of any takeaway we order for 3 people. The food was dry, bland and in some cases foul tasting. This was not freshly prepared, but reheated at best, and some parts bought in ready made. Even the chips were no better than tesco value frying chips, also bland and limp. I'm a greek myself, so i know how all of this food should be. It's plain for all to see, its all bought in as cheaply as possible with horrendous mark up on the prices. Its edible, but for the high price, ought to be far better. Its embarrassing as a greek to witness this poor representation of our national cuisine. Stick to a cheap and cheerful kebab shop, at least u get what u pay for.

First time visiting and will return. I popped in on a whim after getting my haircut around the corner as it always seemed busy/popular. I ordered a small cod, small chips and small gravy with a can of Dr Pepper and was £8.70 in total. I took the food to go and when I got home I was really pleased to open up the paper bag... It looked delightful! The cod was made to order and the chips were chunky and fluffy, perfect. The gravy was delightful, smooth and hot. No complaints at all.
