Recently moved to the area and had noted comments on social media about the best Chinese takeaways around. We tried one a couple of weeks ago that got rave reviews but fell well short of expectations so we decided on Goomet this week despite some of the below comments. Our experience......delivered within 5 minutes of the requested time, food authentic as we like it (proper medium noodles not thin vermicelli type ones offered by another) great taste, hot, and two bags of prawn crackers, one ordered and I guess one free. No need to keep sampling now.....this will be our go to. John, no relation to this business.

We ordered a beef satay and crispy chicken in black bean sauce, no sauce whatsoever! Rung up and said no sauce on the black sauce meal, so said they would redeliver the meal in 10 mins, which they did and had the audacity to say “order more sauce”, there was no sauce whatsoever in the first meal, totally different meal second time which was wasted as gone past it, rice was already dished on the previous meal

Great food, lots of choice. Arrived on time. I have used this Chinese many times in the past and after reading the recent reviews was a bit worried. However, we couldn’t find anywhere else in the area with good reviews so ordered anyway. We were very happy with our order and will be going back again.

Ordered online after setting up an account. Paid £55 for my order, which included a delivery fee, only to get an email seconds later saying they won't delivery as i lived too far away, I live in CW2, the same as there postcode!!! I literally take 15 minutes from them to us. Disgusted to also read in the email that I won't be refunded my money for 3-5 days.. TIP: Don't take orders or money if you can't honour it

I visited here many times when it was a restaurant and was always very happy. Sadly it has changed from an excellent restaurant to a very poor quality takeaway. On this visit we had salt and pepper spare ribs, which were hard dry and quite unpleasant, followed by a chicken curry which was bland, tasting of nothing but a heavy dose of flour which had not even been cooked out properly. The chicken and curry sauce were lacking in any flavour and most of it went in the bin. 1 star for the prawn crackers which were fine. Don't waste your money it's truly terrible.

Sadly this in my opinion has gone down. the quality of the food is not as good as it used to be - taste is there but I feel they are rather heavy handed with the MSG and you need a hosepipe to struggle through a couple of courses.

Extremely disappointed!…. After waiting over an hour and 50 minutes it arrived stone cold bearing in mind we only live 5 minutes away from the restaurant, once we rang back to complain a lady answered and was extremely rude, she responded what do you want us to do about it and told her to go elsewhere!!! Never received such awful customer service, it was a shame because we have ordered from here before and the food has always been nice.

We have ordered from Goomet twice in recent weeks, seeking an alternative to our usual Chinese having recently moved to the area. The first time we were pleasantly surprised, then the second time just confirmed that this is an excellent takeaway. The Hong Kong Sweet and Sour was beautiful, really soft chicken pieces in a tangy sauce. The Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup was excellent, as was the Crispy Beef in Chilli Sauce (albeit a touch sweet for my palate, my partner loved it). The Salt and Pepper Chips were a touch indistinct, which is the only reason I can't give 5 stars on this occasion. The Gyoza, ordered with scepticism as it's traditionally a Japanese item as opposed to Chinese, were phenomenal, super tasty and with a lovely sticky dip. Excellent. We will be along to try the restaurant dining in soon, we're looking forward to it! Normally, restaurants with a huge menu tend to fail to deliver consistent quality across all items, but with the multiple things we've had across a couple of visits, I can't say that here, top stuff.

Great food. Would use again. Plenty of food and would recommend to others in the Crewe or Cheshire area.

Having ordered an average of 3 take away meals a week from Goomet over the last three to four months, the food is fair. However, what is not fair is when the Lady owner of Goomet decides when and if she would like to take your order and your money! When telephoning for a takeaway order, if the restaurant is quiet and they have no other orders to cook, you are met with the normal disingenuous politeness. However, woe betide you dare to call on an evening when they have a couple of orders already waiting to be cooked, that's when that phoney customer service really shines through! Last night (Friday 16/04/21) for the second time in a couple of weeks, I was told quite rudely they would not take my order and not to call them when they are busy! Let that sink in for a moment! Absolutely appalling customer service.

My second takeaway from here. I recommend the crispy chicken balls, and the salt and pepper chips. Will order again. Prompt delivery, polite driver, hot and tasty food. What more can you ask for?

I have eated inside this restaurant, and I have recently had a couple of takeaways too and I think the food from here is amazing. Whenever we feel like a takeaway, this is always top of our list. Keep up the good work :)

The food here is perfect takeaway fare. We had ribs, noodles, sweet and sour chicken and the satay chicken. All were absolutely delicious. Not too fatty or salty, just full of taste. You only had to look at the ribs for the meat to fall off, and the chicken satay is fantastic. Service: The food was delivered quickly and a (slight) error was rectified immediately. All done with great customer service. If you live in the Crewe area and you haven't been here yet, you're missing out.

Ordered prawn udon noodles and they were inedible very disappointed and they also missed one portion of food. Not impressed at all.

After ordering a takeaway at 8pm we knew we’d be waiting an hour or so for food. Nearly 3 hours later it arrived. 10:45 the order came only for it to taste like a bag of salt...what a waste!!!It’s completely put me off Chinese food, nothing fresh and all artificial. I’d be surprised if I’m not diabetic in the morning.Avoid at all cost, unless you want to waste your money and probably wake up in the morning being addicted to salt and MSG.

We are sat in the restaurant, the food is some of the best I have tasted. You order what you want and it is brought to your table fresh and then you just keep going till you cant eat any more. Everything I tried was beautiful and fresh. I will be bring more people back here...

Started off well with all our food coming out together and hot but with more people coming in and it getting busy our orders were coming out wrong and we were waiting ages for food with some food going cold before the rest of the order arrived.I don’t think they can cope with a full restaurant!!Along time between courses.3 hrs in total(too long)Won’t be going back again

We booked a table for 9.30pm and received a warm welcome when we arrived on time and were shown to our table for two. The restaurant was completely empty, we ordered drinks and the black current was like colored water with no taste so after taking it away twice it finally resembled a pint of black current.The starters ordered were Veg spring rolls, prawns on toast and salt & pepper chicken wings and we should have known at that point what to expect from the rest of the meal ! All were deep fried, greasy and tasteless. When the main courses were delivered Satay Chicken, Mushroom Foo Yung, curry sauce, Chips and Egg fried rice it was evident the quality just wasn't there the fired rice was really all that was edible although my wife made an attempt at the foo yung.Nice people and a clean dining room but the quality of the food is average at best, Thai Corner across the road is in another league to be fair.Lesson learned when a restaurant is totally empty and another has several tables full there is a reason.

We've been ordering takeaways from here for a few months now and have always been happy.I'm occasionally concerned that when we order there is never anyone, or hardly anyone, in the restaurant but the food has always been good.The food has always been ready by the specified time.

I was waiting on my order for two hours, bare in mind we order from them nearly every week and it never came when I rang them up they told me they had cancelled the order as we were too far away.

If you’re planning to eat in at this restaurant for the first time, it’s important to read their website first so you know what to expect. The ‘Buffet Menu’ isn’t a buffet at all, i.e. it’s not a ‘help yourself’ format – you order the dishes you want. They do say on the website that there will be a wait, as all the food is ‘freshly cooked to order’, but extra starters took a very long time to arrive and staff weren’t at all attentive – it almost seemed they were reluctant to live up to the ‘all you can eat’ promise! We enjoyed the crispy duck, which is the second course, then each ordered a main course. When these were served, the menus were taken away, making it clear that there would be no more food served. All the food was delicious though – probably a great choice for a takeaway, which may be their main business. We won’t be returning. Perhaps others make the same decision, as it was very quiet in there for a Saturday night – no buzz at all.

I have actually managed to find the best take away for chicken curry ever! Oh my days i have tried so many different restaurant's and take away's over the years and now i have found them my search is over! This was recommended to me by a friend after i was complaining about the lack of a quality restaurant/take away. I phoned them and even asked them not to make it too spicy as some can be, they did not let me down. It literally took them 15 mins from ordering to a very polite delivery chappie turning up at my door. I am so impressed by the quality of the food and the service i felt it only fair to leave them a great review. Very well deserved and i will definately not be going anywhere else in the future, i am hooked!

Visited here with my wife last night.loved the food,cooked to perfection.very friendly staff and nothing was to much trouble for the young waiter.I reccomend the chicken with ginger and spring onions.will be returning.

This place is a hidden gem! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend & I’m quite a fussy eater. Salt & pepper chicken wings! Yum yum. Seriously though I can’t believe this place isn’t busier, it’s just soo good. The young lad who served us was friendly & nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely be back!

The chicken satay was like a whole tub of peanut butter had been poured in. They was no other taste. Very disappointed ☹️ as hear very good reviews about the place. I think I would try again but definitely a different dish

We were looking for an eat in Chinese when we came across this place. The outside looks okay but it looks better on the inside. It’s a Chinese buffet all you can eat and the food here was really nice and the service was fast and friendly. Been here many more times since, would recommend for a good Chinese.

Honestly how this place isn’t busy all the time the food is just out of this world the chef is amazing and the staff are so friendly and attentive we had the Singapore vermicelli and the garlic chilli chicken with salt and pepper chips and gyoza chicken for starters and it was beautiful. Myself and my partner have eaten here many times and we’ve never had a bad meal

Such good value, had this twice , we couldn't finish it . Only point is on a personal level needs to be more salt and pepper and a choice of accompanying sources would be good if you don't like what's on offer x

The salt and pepper prawns were delicious but the chow mein noodles and egg fried rice lacked in flavour. I’d suggest Thai Taste for those two and it’s more worth it for the price. However I do want to sit in and try the Sushi menu and give it a fair chance

We came here on a Thursday night and the place was empty.

A party of 8 (plus 1 baby) came here this evening to celebrate my sister's birthday. We chose the buffet option.There was a big collection of starters and we were able to try a bunch of new things! We skipped the duck course as we wanted to leave room for mains; and they were amazing! You can order two mains at a time; but reorder as much as you want.

The staff are amazing! So friendly and made us really welcome, attentive without being overbearing. My friend is always cold, even abroad, the chap noticed she hadn’t taken her coat off so brought a little heater to pop next to her, which was such a kind gesture.

Booked in here on Friday night with my wife and kids (7 & 2).

Food is amazing, staff are so welcoming, friendly and accommodating they will let you know which foods are suitable for food tolerances and can change them to accommodate your needs.

We decided to try the all you can eat was not a buffee you order as much as you like of the buffee menu cooked to order no have to get up and down to food that everybody had been in appealed to us plus...

Booked a table and when we arrived it was not ready and they were not busy. Tables sorted sat down no drinks offered. Waited 10 minutes before a waitress decided to serve us. Then they decided they had better clear the table next to us...

Horribly disappointed in this restaurant. It came up high in TA reviews in the area and as we were visiting...

Food is always spot on. Can't faultit love it here best Chinese food in Crewe. Very friendly staff. Even open the door for you on the way out.

4 times they have accused us of not being in when they have tried to deliver!!!! 4 times they have actually not bothered to knock on the front door!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are a joke!!!! They are liars and when you confront them about it they block the number and deney they have spoken to you!!!!!! DO NOT call me and my partner liars!!!!!!!!!!!! Never again!!! You disgust me!!

5 of us visited here early on a Saturday evening, and were all very impressed. We went for the all you can eat £15-90 a head buffet menu, which is all freshly cooked for you. I have been to these type of places before, and the portions have always been on the small side. That is not the case here though, where they are more than ample. We all thought that the quality was excellent too, and the service was good and friendly. Well worth a visit.

I didn't take a photo of my food so you'll jusy have to have to take my word for it when I say that the portion sizes are HUGE!

Love this restaurant... the sushi is top notch, the menu now is more Chinese than Japanese and I miss the tapanyaki... however the food is still very good.

We just got back from our visit to Goomet and absolutely loved it. After a few trips to various Chinese restaurants around the area we have found our favourite! My girlfriend and I had soup to start, the Chicken and sweet corn and the Hot and Sour; the chicken soup was lovely, full of chicken and flavour. The hot and sour soup was perfectly seasoned with the right balance of heat and tang and contained lovely veg, prawns and chicken. We shared the set menu A which was great value with generous portions, we had to take some home! We really enjoyed all the dishes we had, they were tasty and looked very appetising with plenty of flavour and unlike many Chinese establishments, the food WASN'T so salty that you need to drink your bodyweight after the meal. I will absolutely be returning to Goomet restaurant with friends and family! Lovely service, friendly staff and amazing food.

My wife and I visit often, especially for the sushi but always greatly enjoyed every dish we have ordered. Service at the restaurant is great and not rushed, so it gives me time to enjoy my meal and sip my wine. I also recommend the Szechuan Beef and Singapore Chow Mein if you do not feel like going out and so go for home delivery.

Visiting Crewe for a wedding we took a quick gander around to see which restaurants were easily accessible near the station and Goomet popped up as a Japanese restaurant with decent reviews, as well as offering Teppanyaki.We were seated and began to mull over the menu, only to find that the Japanese section of the menu was limited to four or five Teppanyaki options and a couple of other items. Having munched through a bowl of prawn crackers we ordered, only to be told the Teppanyaki 'wasn't on', so that was not an option. Considering the menu again we selected a couple of things, only to be told that those two were unavailable. Third time lucky we tried ordering (two starters, two mains) and awaited the dishes.Starters were pretty good, particularly the chicken and mushroom lettuce parcels. Mains were decent quality - great quality for a takeaway, average for a Chinese restaurant. I'd not go out of my way to come here, but maybe the Teppanyaki would be worth a go, if it's actually on.

We attended as a group of 16 and spent the whole evening with the restaurant to ourselves, the owner is constantly cracking cringeworthy borderline offensive jokes which just causes awkward silences.The food on the "all you can eat" menu is nothing special and very bland. Although it's all you can eat you are discouraged from ordering more than the bare minimum of which is provided on tiny plates and takes a good 20 minutes to appear after having been ordered.Generally not a nice place to visit.

I love having a takeaway from here as it's always full of flavour and tastes good, delivery is always way before the time given. However I do think it's quite pricey for a takeaway.

Met a number of colleagues to wind down after a busy week. Service was exceptional and the food was very good, everyone was impressed with their choices. Couple of colleagues had vegetarian choices, which they shared were exceptional. For starters the Big and Vegetarian Combination Platters went down very well. For dessert, had what must have been the most alcoholic pancakes ever made!

Absolutely fuming!! Order 2hrs ago to then complain n the woman 2 hang up on me!! There suggestion was if I could take food back I could have refund.. sorry but sat night most have had a drink.. so it was either get a taxi that would cost me prob more than food!! £20 down n ad nothing 2 eat! 2 somewhere I wud recommend 2 never going again. The hanging up on the phone was just appalling!!!!

Ordered food online at 7:15 this eve with a delivery time of 8:15 which you can choose online. By 8:45 it wasn't here so called to be told to give them 5-10mins because they're busy. Fair enough, but someone should have called us. Still nothing by 9:15pm and spent 15 mins trying to call and get through but constantly engaged so clearly taken the phone off the hook. Then the driver arrives and we say we're not happy and won't pay the full cost and he says there is nothing he can do. Waited over 2 hours. Total joke. Sent the food back with him it had been so long. Won't ever be using again and will certainly be telling friends to go elsewhere as well.

Food was averagely nice the coke was bit flat, I drank it, so my own fault... My biggest bug bear was the phone ringing( very loud) constantly while eating our meal... Wouldn't go back again, wouldn't really recommend it.

On pick up the lady was very nice, great customer service smiled etc. The Place itself looked clean. They only tell you how many sashimi you will get on the menu list. For £10, I received 2 salmon nigiri (one of them, the skin was no t cut off properly) and 2 tuna nigiri and 4 thin pieces of salmon sashimi.I don't believe I got value for money, but that's the Sushi.

Had a very nice evening with a large group of work colleges.We had the teppanyaki cooked in front of use on the large hot plate The last time I came here the teppanyaki chief was exceptional and put on a great show.The chief this time was very good, but lacked the flare of the other one. Now me and my Husband are yet to have eaten in here so this review is based upon their takeaway service.Firstly, the consistency of quality is amazing here every dish is always cooked perfectly. The food always arrives hot and fresh.Secondly, this place does sushi, and it has to be the best place serving sushi in the local area. Great variety and also for takeaway/delivery.Thirdly, the Chinese pork is especially delicious from here so soft you won't be disappointed.This is the only place we will have Chinese/Japanese, nowhere else compares.We can't wait to eventually pop down and dine in.

We've been to Goomet several times usually for their Teppanyaki and can't recommend it enough. The food is always flavourful, fresh and well cooked by a skilful chef right before your eyes. The chef also puts on a bit of a performance with flames, it's great fun and the food is consistently of high quality. Highly recommended!

After mum telling me how amazing the chef was at goomet on the tappenyaki I thought I'd treat them as it was their 40th wedding anniversary. However the previous chef had left due to some petty customers complaining about his style of cooking, the food however was lovely nice and fresh tasty can't complain.The chef cooking was lovely but very quiet didn't speak much but the owner I presume was fantastic couldn't do enough for us very friendly I will definitely return it's just a shame that a small minority have to spoil a great restaurant.Thank you for a lovely evenimg

We had food from the menu on this occasion as opposed to the Japanese hot plate. I would recommend the sushi and the sweet and sour. The food was served hot and fast considering how busy the restaurant was. The food in this restaurant tastes better every time I visit. There is also a good choice of wines and Asian beers.

This restaurant has gone downhill. It used to offer value for money with the buffet which was freshly prepared. The wine was over priced but now all the food is overpriced especially for a restaurant in Crewe. It does ok for people on business but you don't see many locals in anymore. Our food wasn't hot and when we mentioned this politely, we were told the chef would be told. A few years ago this restaurant was good.

Had a takeaway a few times from here with friends and on the three occasions we were disappointed by the food. There are far better places to order good Asian food from.

As a Japanese food lover we thought we would try a Teppenyaki meal at Goomet.I take no pleasure in leaving a poor review, however this place is very disappointing.Firstly the Teppenyaki Chef doesn't have a clue. It was more like stir fry on a hot plate. Also the food was very greasy and poor quality. If you like Japanese cooking and Teppenyaki then you would be wise to give this place a miss. It is more like a Chinese trying to cash in with a Teppenyaki table.Finally at £30 per head for a set menu it was very expensive for the quality of food. We won't be returning even if it were free

You won't be bored here. The food is very good. The staff are helpful but have some difficulty understanding certain requests.

Never in million years will order again from this place!!!waited 2 hours for food which is double the time they said it'll be!!!honestly 2 hours?! some joke!no sorry or anything from them. I'll make sure i'll tell all my friends to never buy anything from there!!Disgrace!

Fast delivery and came hot. Opened the salt and pepper chicken and I couldn't get my fork through it, let alone chew it. No chicken whatsoever, burnt, crunchy and not nice whatsoever. What a waste of £20, definitely don't recommend!

Visited here with a colleague for dinner.Very clean and seated promptly. Huge range of options and unlimited portions available for under £15 is fantastic value. Went for the three course meal and each dish was delicious and perfectly portioned. The crispy shredded beef and egg fried rice is some of the best I've ever tasted.Staff were efficient and very friendly, even holding the door for me as we left.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great Chinese meal in Crewe.

We made our booking after seeing an advert for the buffet menu.We arrived and were friendly greeted by our hosts and shown to our table.We were told about how the service works, all you can eat all cooked fresh to order and brought to our table.We started with a mix of starters, there was a large selection on the menu including sushi,spring rolls, soups. All the food we ate was amazing, not what you would expect for £14.90.We then had second course which we also ordered a mixture.Some ordered shredded duck and some ordered minced chicken in lecture wrap. There was even a vegetable option.Next up was mains and again there was a large selection to choose from. Chippy shredded beef in honey and chilli was lovely and we also really enjoyed the singapore vermicelli.Few of our group hadnt eaten alot of chinese food before so it gave them a chance to try some new flavours.Thank you to the staff at Goomet for making a work night out a great night.Main Points.1. Food was Amazing2. At £14.90 it was great value3. The service we got was second to none. We were laughing and joking all night with our hosts and everyone commented on what a good job our hosts did.Go give the guys at Goomet a call and see when they can fit you in.You wont regret it!*The guys also do a teppenyaki evening if you wanted something really special.

Goomet. is a Japanese restaurant that cooks the food at your table the skill of the chef's have to be seen to be believed it's not cheap but the entertainment is worth the bit extra The chef's chop and juggle the food so fast you come away wondering how they do it the food is fresh and delicious so give it a try .

The food here is really good. I've been coming here for a few years and can't believe more people don't visit, it's always quiet and should be really busy. Staff are very friendly and food is great.

Haven't been for a while , but not disappointed had the tapanyaki the meat and fish menu seated straight away and the chef was excellent and made it special for us , food cooked perfect and tasty forgotten how good this place is ! Lovely bottle of high standard prosecco great service and value as well , didnt have the sushi this time but have had it before and its a high standard too and will be having it next time , will not be as long till the next visit , if this place was in Alsager i think it would do a bomb , please open one in alsager !! Cant praise the place enough

Some of the best Sushi I've ever had, never waited an unreasonable amount of time for delivery and the staff are extremely lovely and friendly whenever I go in, would recommend highly, with a good range and quality of food and service!

I went to Goomet restaurant with my brother on a Friday evening and we had the teppanyaki menu. There are various teppanyaki menus to choose from for all tastes and budgets. I had one off the fish menu and my brother chose a meet menu. We were lucky enough to share each other menu though. The food is cooked to perfection (it was very tasty and cooked to perfection) and the chef had a good rapport with the customer. There was also a waitress and waiter who looked after us and made sure our experience was a good one. The atmosphere was really relaxed and welcoming. My brother used to live in Asia so his standards of good Asian food is high. Goomet definitely met his expectations. This will be one of may visits to this restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant for business and for pleasure.

Goomet never disappoints every time I go, the food is excellent. And defo the best sushi in the area. Surprises me how it isn't busy all the time I feel if Goomet was in Nantwich business would triple.

Me and my husband have been here a few times. The food is lovely and it's not overly expensive. The service is always great and I would recommend a trip here to anyone visiting/living in Crewe.

The Tepenyaki bar is great. Not a huge fan of the takeaways but for evening out with friends the tepenyaki bar is a great experience, the food isn't cheap but it is exceptional.

Unless you are in a big city you're not likely to find a decent Tappenyaki but Goomet is not bad if you don't want to go to Manchester, Liverpool, Chester or Birmingham. Quite expensive for the "Theatrical Dining" but good fun and nice food. Worth it once in a while for something different with friends.

Love love love grommet!! Staff are always so friendly and lovely. This is the only take away we use in Crewe and the food is brilliant! Great portion sizes and excellent value for money. We have eaten in here on numerous occasions also and the buffet is excellent for the price! There are so many dishes and everything is cooked fresh and bought to the table. 100% recommend to anyone such a brilliant restaurant.

We visited for a leaving do at work so with a 12 strong crowd it was going to be an interesting test as I've only been here for teppanyaki before which is as delicious as it is entertaining. The service has always been faultless.Tonight however was a buffet menu affair and once again the food did not disappoint. It was tasty, varied and most importantly got and delivered together. No one was left out and everything was hot and according to order. I felt the food was prepared well and we were not kept waiting for long at all.Our waiter, a stalwart professional, tended to drinks with ease, organised our understanding of the menu and informed us what we needed of the essentials such as rice and noodles to share.Well done! Look forward to next time

Looked up Chinese restaurants on trip advisor as we did not want to eat in our hotel for a 2nd night and had never been to Crewe before. This came out top and we understand why. Waiters were very friendly/funny (almost trying a little too hard tbh but we'd rather that than they be cold), service was good and we loved the food. £15 for an all you can eat, each of 5 ordered as you go. We had spicy salt and pepper starters, then hot and sour soup, (definitely on the hot not sour side) we skipped the crispy duck as thought we'd be too full, then Cantonese chicken/beef and finally banana fritter. It was all lovely and our 16 year old thought it was the nicest Chinese he'd ever had. Really pleased Trip Advisor helped us to discover it, if we're ever back in Crewe we will return. Great that it was open on a Sunday night too!

So far excellent value for the all you can eat buffet, all cooked to order. Host is a stand up comedian and really witty. Don't understand why it is not really busy.

Ate here for the first time following a recommendation, service was brilliant nice friendly staff who explained the menu, we had the buffet, all the food was lovely very tasty, freshly cooked, excellent value for money would highly recommend this

My goodness. - what fabulous sushi. Drove 40 miles for take out sushi and it was ready for us, made freshly and so tasty. Chan took our order and it was delicious. The portions of salmon are generous and the maki is properly hand made. Must call back for hot food!

New to the area and recommended by a friend....what a great find!Decor isnt the best inside or out but dont be put off.The host was very funny and had a great manner with all the customers.The food of course is the main thing and.... is great! We had the all you can eat for £14 menu. This isn't a buffet.. u order as u go along so u don't get the dried up unwanted left overs normally in buffets. Let me say after what amounted to 4 courses i was stuffed full of good quality fresh food!In short...ignore the decor and appreciate the food, price and host.

Excellent night. Good choice and range of food, freshly cooked and of a great quality. We had the all you can eat buffet, which was a fantastic price for all you can eat. Service was great too, they were attentive and funny, making us laugh throughout the evening. The food does come out very quickly, we were almost too full to finish our mains. So I would suggest asking the next course to be delayed by 10mins, just so your not eating alot of food in a very short time. The venue was clean and tidy, though maybe slightly old on the decor. But I would definitely recommend Goomet to everyone because of the food and service!

Whilst staying outside Crewe decided to book this restaurant for evening buffet, Served from the menu and waiter prompted us each time for next course. Thus it arrived piping hot and straight from the kitchen.Staff were very pleasant. Only one other couple and small child in - for Tepanyaki - but did not cause any concern. Restuarant looked a " Bit tired " but certainly good value for money / taste when compared to buffets kept under heat lamps. RECOMMENDED
