The best restaurants in Carlisle North West

Worse cup of tea I've ever had in a Costa, including abroad... tasted nothing like tea Staff member pushed me to one side when I was looking at choice of sandwich etc to fill up. No excuse me etc

Travel plans changed, and I ended up at the Premier Inn just after 8 in the morning. The staff went out of their way to get my room ready for early check-in. Had a good breakfast at the restaurant. Friendly helpful staff & service. The room was comfortable and clean.

Great M and M Muffin and Pumpkin Spice Latte in my first visit since the refurbishment. My muffin man approved and even had this photo taken by a member of staff.

The food there is very tasty. It's a shame that you can only reserve by phone, not online. I also think it's a shame that on Fridays and Saturdays only solid dishes are offered in the buffet and you can't take anything from the menu. That was also the case on a recent Wednesday. Only Mediterranean food that wasn't on the menu was offered and you weren't allowed to order what was on the menu for lunch. But the cake, coffee and homemade lemonades are very tasty there.

Very nice place to have a drink with friends. Will try the food soon...shame it's closed now. It will open soon...i hope.

Waiting time over 1 hour. People getting money back waiting too long

Choice on the menu is great. Food is always really good. I have visited a few times but on Saturday the lady behind the counter was arguing and complaining about a younger member of staff in front of her to a driver and to customers. It’s very unprofessional and made the atmosphere awful. It’s not my closest Chinese so probably won’t come back as it was a very uncomfortable environment to be in.

Best in carlisle by a mile prices reflect this but rightly so would rather pay a tiny bit more for better quality

I had an hour in which to eat so wasn't interested in anywhere with a waiting list or that needed a booking, nor anywhere where the prices were upped because of posh decor and "in place" popularity - and there are a few like that in Carlisle! This looked under-appreciated and although I had only a quickly prepared basic Rogan Josh/Pilau Rice and Aloo Gobi dish, all was well cooked and well presented, no complaints anywhere and - a nice touch - the table linen was very high quality and swiftly renewed as soon as guests departed.

Great takeaway after recently opening up again after a few years being closed. Had a few meals from there over last few weeks. I always collect and it’s good to see your food being made in front of you in the new enlarged kitchen. Keep it up

Terrible service, staff have no manners and one is particularly rude, horrible atmosphere. The restaurant is also grubby and our menus were dirty. The food was just OK but the staff were hovering to grab plates away as soon as you finish, unfriendly and miserable. I see other reviews have said similar. My wife and I were looking forward to a nice meal to celebrate her birthday but the staff spoke to us like we were unwelcome gate crashers. Couldn't even be polite when taking our order. No customer service skills whatsoever. Never again. Miserable, rude and unwelcoming. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, avoid this one.
