The best restaurants in Carlisle North West

Really good food, four us went for lunch, pleased they had an open side door as the front was completely blocked by roadworks in the square. Late lunch and we all had main meals, two smash burgers, looked great to me, I had chicken tenders in a buttermilk batter, and my wife who is gluten free free had crispy haloumi which she declared lovely! The girls had cocktails and the boys had shandy, served quickly by the good waiter. Food was delivered in good time, was hot and tasty, service was nice. Prices were fair £85 for us Inc. drinks.

Something gone wrong with this place, one time favourite for good Italian. Now the usual rubber garlic bread like all the other take aways in chorley, Lasagne-hardly any pasta, Sloppy with huge lumps of mince, Spag bog chillied up. Disappointed. I liked the starter though.

What’s happened? We have been dining for over 10 years and today was awful. We waited over 40 minutes to be served. My soup looked like a diluted (see photo) curry, the noodles had veggies when we specifically asked for none and their excuse was that they were busy with telephone orders-any other tables were served before us! We won’t be returning and the staff were just damn right rude- such a shame :( chef was off on one and th e waitresses just didn’t understand. Guess they’ve got greedy now!

Great customers amazing atmosphere with quiz & bingo

Ordered a Salted Caramel Frappe With Coffee and you couldn't taste the caramel. Didn't ask if I wanted coffee in it I had to ask them. The staff did not say thank you for anything so overall not a good experience.

Not a lover of Weatherspoons, but when there was no-where else, it was fine

Can't comment on food because we didn't eat. We went for the karaoke night on Saturday 19th April. What an incredible night. Such a supportive and fun atmosphere. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Will definitely return. Nice one Mandy xx

I've only ever been in the afternoon and it's nice and they've got a good menu but I haven't eaten here yet!

Friendly, welcoming place, absolutely spotless. Superb food, superb beers. The staff are what make it though. What a find 👍
