been going here with my parents for years, back when they had fun days for charity. Still go there to this day, amazing people, amazing feel.

No real ale which was a disappointment but an excellent gin and tonic which was suggested more than made up for it. Very friendly and we felt completely safe as everything very Covid conscious, masks were worn and social distancing securely practiced, would definitely visit again if we were in the area. Thank you.

I had to call round to the local scrap yard for parts for my wife’s car I have to pass this bar in way in & out so on way out I called in for a beer as weather was atrocious I asked bar girl if it would be possible to get a chip roll she said it’s not on menu but I could have one, Spot on eh! There menu had a good choice and with plenty of beers on hand you can’t go wrong they are dog friendly and a lovely open fire it’s a cosy bar on a bad day it’s not an easy place to find but if you put it up on trip advisor you’ll get directions to it so give it a go 👍

we were looking for somewhere to eat in carlisle on a sunday evening and with a dog. a tall order it seemed after phoning all the local pubs near to where we we staying. we were not expecting much of the food . we were wrong we had a fantastic sunday dinner with two roast meats and all the trimming plus apple pie and custard for under a tenner each. the bar was lively but everyone in it was friendly just what we needed after walking 18 miles. thank you guys

The people who visit here are great as well as the people who work there. I enjoy the jukebox and playing pool with friends.

Food terrible i had chicken nonflavour and very watery, all new decor is nice but takes away the feel of the tradition pub feel
