First time here food was lovely service excellent highly recommend

i have been here twice got food poising both times thought it might have just been a bug until last night when i tasted off chicken chicken was still pink

We were on our way home from Preston and trying to think of a good chippy in Blackburn but sadly we realised all the good ones were no longer open. We came across Cherry Tree chippy but wondered if it would be ok as it’s a Chinese take away ( not that we’re averse to a Chinese) . We ordered steak pud ( Hollands) chips, large mushy peas and large gravy. Theirs plenty of chips for 2 in a portion of chips. It was absolutely delicious and hot even though we were several miles from home. Took a menu and we will certainly be back. Staff really pleasant and quick service.

Went here for my granddaughters christening on the 27/4/2025. I have to say all the staff were fantastic and very friendly and welcoming, also the food was amazing. Lovely outdoor play area for the kids which was a bonus and lovely terracing on the back of the pub another bonus as the weather was beautiful. We will be returning for the Sunday roast one day which looked lovely. Thanks everyone concerned. 👏👏

The foods good here & value for money. The chef, Nathan (?) knows his onions & all other ingredients!!! Some staff engaged better with clients better than others - some prefer, almost exclusively, to stare at the food ordering screen! Not all committed to the client experience! We shared pate starter, companion had SotDay & loved it! I had gammon & brought some home! We prefer eating in the bar area. We had some company!

Brilliant staff. Could not be more helpful. We are new to the area and wanted to know about the history and they knew the perfect person to ask. Great atmosphere 😃

Not good, everything except the John bull was cold, chips looked and tasted like the day befores leftovers, won't be going again, very disappointed as this used to be the best chippy around

Visited for a friends birthday on a Sunday afternoon. Service was great, staff were friendly and attentive. Food was brilliant - had their Sunday lunch. Portions are huge so no room for desert but they looked great. Would reccomend and we’ll definitely be back!

Food was cold and late arrival! Not normal for holly tree they are usually awesome

We called in to meet with family and friends on New years day, stayed 30 mins, was very busy, no mention of paying for parking that any of us saw. 15/1/2025 3 PARKING TICKETS @ £100 EACH. Disgusting !

Whether you go via the drive through or in the building, the food is cold, been 3 times in as many months and not yet had a warm burger. Not sure how that can happen when it’s so busy and food is been turned round quickly. Very disappointed won’t be returning. You go once and get cold food you’re disappointed, but by the 3rd time it shows how rubbish the place is and something is not working right and needs to be improved.
