The best restaurants in Central Barrow-in-Furness North West

Today was the first visit since it reopened as a cafe/restaurant. Serving breakfast, snacks & main meals. We were greeted on arrival by a lovely young man, he was friendly & professional. Hubby had a no.1 breakfast, which consisted of 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 slices of black pudding, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. I had a no.2 which was 1 of everything no black pudding & 2 halves of fried tomatoes, plenty of mushrooms (my favourite) We had 4 slices of toast, 2 cafetières of tea, with a biscuit on the side, then when we had finished the young man brought us a Turkish dessert. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated & welcoming. Thank you we enjoyed it & will return.

An absolute gem! This small family run business makes everything from scratch and you can tell!! Amazing pizza dough and the toppings are perfect. Service is great too!

Food was excellent. The delivery driver was very apologetic as the food arrived a few minutes after its scheduled time and gave us £5 back as a good will gesture. Quality food and quality service.

Great plant based food and great beer, shame we had to get home for the babysitter otherwise we’d have stayed here for a few extra drinks.

Lovely freshly battered and fried fish and good size portions. Very friendly, helpful and chatty. Felt very welcome. Thanks

On outside had scaffolding etc so though oh dear, when got in bar pleasently surprised, staff was chatty helpful, bar well stocked...we booked into room no hassle was clean tidy and exactly what required , shower toilet bit in small size but good, would recommend this at 75 pound that night a Saturday was good IMO

OMG best Chinese food I've ever eaten from a takeaway! Great selection of starters, lovely duck with all the pancake doings, nicest hot and sour soup, egg drop style, and our meals included fillet steak and king prawn. Not steeped in the high sugar levels and thickeners that so many takeaways seem to use, just great flavours and as corny as it sounds, cooked to perfection. I mean the veggies in the king prawn XO sauce were actually crunchy! Everything tasted different from everything else! Gorgeous stuff.

Really tasty food - The young lad who works there is really friendly and welcoming - Nothing is a problem for him and he's very helpful. Dishes can be vegan, he helped with this also - 10/10

Salt and pepper box and garlic bread were really tasty

Pre booked our Christmas meal. 18 people. Took the pre order in, in person, 3 weeks ago which included items ordered off the Christmas menu which is on the site when it comes up on the Google search. They rang me 2 minutes before I walked into the restaurant and was in the carpark to tell me there is no christmas menu. So the pre order was useless.also the menu online was out of date so prices people were expecting to pay were wrong. I was made to feel belittled as the manager told me I should have known it was an old site that I got the information from. I pointed out that if the pre order had been reviewed 3 weeks ago then it would have easily been sorted as i had also put the prices we were expecting to pay next to each item. It couldn't have been an easier fix if they had just looked at it! Really bad and embarrassing experience. The food was really good but I wont be going back for further team events.

Ordered last night, spent over £40, chips were raw, prawns were like mush only way to describe it was frozen and not cooked properly, got 2 pizzas, 1 margarita and 1 ham and mushroom both like rubber *cheap cheese and frozen dough, fatty suspicious perfect squares of ham thrown on last minute. Also ordered squid and I have no idea what it was but it was not squid, the batter was rock hard, so expected squid to be over done, squid over cooked...would be chewy this was watery mush with no flavour at all. Only thing that may have been edible was the burger although bun was soggy and found a hair in it!! So disappointed as waited over an hour for it and couldn't even eat it!! Avoid at all cost and save yourself some cash!!

Friendly and efficient staff. Good choice of food. Good for the price. Obviously a local favourite. We saw a family celebrating a birthday - another couple clearly enjoying the food as they went to refill several times.

Back again for a meal and enjoyed it definitely the best place to eat in barrow if your very hungry would visit everyday If I could 😋
