The best restaurants in Central Barrow-in-Furness North West

Today was the first visit since it reopened as a cafe/restaurant. Serving breakfast, snacks & main meals. We were greeted on arrival by a lovely young man, he was friendly & professional. Hubby had a no.1 breakfast, which consisted of 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 slices of black pudding, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. I had a no.2 which was 1 of everything no black pudding & 2 halves of fried tomatoes, plenty of mushrooms (my favourite) We had 4 slices of toast, 2 cafetières of tea, with a biscuit on the side, then when we had finished the young man brought us a Turkish dessert. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated & welcoming. Thank you we enjoyed it & will return.

An absolute gem! This small family run business makes everything from scratch and you can tell!! Amazing pizza dough and the toppings are perfect. Service is great too!

Food was excellent. The delivery driver was very apologetic as the food arrived a few minutes after its scheduled time and gave us £5 back as a good will gesture. Quality food and quality service.

Great plant based food and great beer, shame we had to get home for the babysitter otherwise we’d have stayed here for a few extra drinks.

Lovely freshly battered and fried fish and good size portions. Very friendly, helpful and chatty. Felt very welcome. Thanks

On outside had scaffolding etc so though oh dear, when got in bar pleasently surprised, staff was chatty helpful, bar well stocked...we booked into room no hassle was clean tidy and exactly what required , shower toilet bit in small size but good, would recommend this at 75 pound that night a Saturday was good IMO

OMG best Chinese food I've ever eaten from a takeaway! Great selection of starters, lovely duck with all the pancake doings, nicest hot and sour soup, egg drop style, and our meals included fillet steak and king prawn. Not steeped in the high sugar levels and thickeners that so many takeaways seem to use, just great flavours and as corny as it sounds, cooked to perfection. I mean the veggies in the king prawn XO sauce were actually crunchy! Everything tasted different from everything else! Gorgeous stuff.

Ordered from here pre ordered at 2pm delivery for 6pm latest 6:30pm it is now 7:35pm and still nothing, i am more annoyed as I ordered from a different Indian under the same owners as taj mahal and that was nearly 2 hours late, after leaving a bad review spoke to the owner and they said to order from here instead and to contact them if we have issues with an order, tried to contact them no reply will not be ordering from either of these places again, beyond disappointing if I could give 0 stars i would.

Service was extremely slow. 30 minute after arrival we ordered drinks and food which took nearly another 30 minutes to arrive. Even then only three of the starters and three drinks from our group order arrived. The other starters subsequently removed from the bill arrived after the mains had eventually arrived. We also received garlic bread we did not order. When the food arrived it was ok but not as good S we have had here previously. Another party left because of the time things were taking while we were there. Disappointing as we have previously had good experiences here.

Very disappointing experience. Limited choice & what was left was either not being replaced or was dry & past its best. Overpriced for average food & overrated as a restaurant. The customer service was appalling due to very rude staff so I won't be going back. I've had far better buffets in city centres & especially all you can eat buffets in the US.

Back again for a meal and enjoyed it definitely the best place to eat in barrow if your very hungry would visit everyday If I could 😋
