My daughter had her wedding meal here and the food was simply magnificent. The service superb, and Ella our hostess was incredible meeting every need or request.
Popped in for a bacon roll and coffee ahead of my journey to London. Delicious bacon sandwich with proper HP brown sauceand a very tasty black coffee.
Picked myself up a loyalty card as I will definitely be visiting again.
Excellent value for £6.50

Eat a fair share of Thai food and this rates up there as one of the top ones.
Great food, lovely service, spotlessly clean, i would recommend getting in touch to check on wait times as she can get very busy.
Called in for a quick drink with friends on a Saturday evening in March 2025, as a first time visitor.
The place was clean and nicely laid out, and we were greeted with a friendly smile from the staff.
Staff were polite and we didn’t feel rushed at any point, even though we were only having a drink and toom our time perusing the drinks menu. The atmosphere was relaxed and really made for a good experience. We all ordered cocktails, and none of them disappointed – I had the local variation of the Long Island Ice Tea and it was delicious: very well made, really good size of drink, and at a good price. Also the gents toilet – although compact – was clean and fresh.
Would recommend, and will visit again. In fact, technically we did as we left to go somewhere round the corner but it was busy so we went back to the Wild Inn and had the same again!
Popped in for some lunch after a walk. Absolutely lovely ladies and food was delicious - really warmed us up after the heavens opened! Can’t wait to come back!
this place is amazing we went for a three course xmasmeal on dec 12th for20 pounds each the place was full.it is run as an academy .the staff are brilliant and they workas a charity.we sang carrols for xmas.it is not open every day but you will get a well cookedmeal for 10 pounds on normal days.
Whilst trying to amuse my two young son's on a recent visit to Cumbria I took them to the vintage farm. And while that itself is great the real highlight was The Chicken Shed cafe on the site. The food is lovely with the homemade cakes being among the best I have ever tasted. The lady who runs the place is a great host and when my 9 year old cheekily asked for a beer she passed him a bottle of child friendly shandy that made his day. There's also a wide variety of homemade ice cream available which was music to the ears of my 6 year old (and me). Even if you don't fancy visiting the farm itself the food and hospitality at The Chicken Shed is worth seeking out.

We popped in on a Saturday night and Bar 25 had a Freddie Mercury tribute act on who was brilliant. Toy guitars and stick on moustaches for the crowd made for a funny set.
