Beautiful place to sit and relax by the river, homemade sausage roll very tasty 😁

Only had a sausage roll, but what a sausage roll! Lasted me most of the day.

Excellent cheese pasty with a latte coffee - surrounded by trees, birds singing,.... very pleasant.

An amazing coffee shop with a big heart. Whatever the weather, they have visitors. Arriving on foot, cycle or even horseback, the visitors travel from miles around to sample their coffee and their delectable selection of snacks. I'm no connoisseur, but I'd argue their coffee beans trump the high street brands. Exercise with a coffee along the way, what's not to love?

After getting caught in a downpour, we arrived at Riverbank Coffee for some refreshments, wet and muddy. I love the fact it’s outdoors by the river, away from the hustle and bustle. We had a bite to eat and some drinks. The Latte was superb and we will be returning again on the next family walk.

Geat coffee, great space with tables under the trees and some little huts with views of the river, and a couple of old rowboats to sit in. Also since a while the cups have recyclable compressed paper lids, as well as there being (unobtrusive) separate bins for recycling!

Always a lovely walk & scenic location with lots of tasty choice in food...just be aware on busy days food can sell out

Nice long walk to the cafe where we had coffees, cakes and an egg barm. My double espresso was smooth & creamy and the food excellent. Plenty of seating, most in the open but they have about 5 4-seater glazed "sheds".

We had a lovely bank holiday breakfast here today. The location is really nice. There is plenty of seating area for sunny and rainy weather. The food we had was really nice. The food we didn't have looked really nice. The home made food actually looked home made. Good prices, and the staff / managers were well organised for such a busy day. They were really polite and accommodating. I couldn't think of one thing they could improve on.

A lovely place for a pit stop if you're walking, cycling or out with your horse.

The coffee both hot and iced are great. A good selection of different foods with pasties, sausage rolls and breakfast rolls. And the staff are lovely and friendly. It's a great little pit stop on your walk along the river

£14.72 for a milkshake, sausage roll and cookie is pretty expensive. I'd asked for 2 milkshakes so thought it was an OK price but then when I went to collect I was told I'd only ordered 1 so had to go and pay another £3.99 for the 2nd milkshake. Not sure I'd go back to be honest.

An excellent stop off with a good selection of snacks and drinks, loads of seating, some with shelter, can be a bit muddy but a great location next to the mersey, opens til five o clock in the summer, I'm going again on my bike today!

I love stopping off here on a walk. Always friendly staff and delicious hot chocolate and they have the best sausage rolls I’ve tasted. 😋

I have a walk here at least once or twice a week. When the sun is out, it's a lovely 2.5mile walk for me each way. But also when the sun is out, it can be pretty busy. Especially at weekends when they do breakfast barms, although sometimes they do them during the week too, and during holidays. Always a nice atmosphere though. I'm actually sat there\here writing this review now, and it's busy with a full spectrum of visitors, and a few dogs. Be aware that if the weather isn't great, the walk can be pretty muddy though. Food is great as are the drinks, and although I've never tried them, apparently the sausage rolls are brilliant. Well worth the walk. Hidden next to the Mersey and only accessable by foot. Nice to look out at the various birds too around here. Occasionally u may even see the parakeets. Prices are very reasonable, and coffee is good too.

Great idea. And therefore usually busy with customers. Lots of room and seats. No bike stands, but able to secure to a fence post whilst there.

Coffee, egg barms (2 perfect fried eggs with runny yolks), & bakewell tart was very good value, delicious, & quickly produced. Staff friendly, picnic benches & little cabins perfect by the river bank. Toilets were spotless Portaloos.

Sausage rolls are incredible! Perfect little stop during a walk

Went for the first time last Saturday and what a find. A perfect place next to the River Mersey for a pit stop, a drink and a bite to eat. The sausage rolls are probably the best I have ever tasted. Already been back today on my walk for another! I'm sure to be a regular customer over the coming months and no doubt years.

Come here most weekends to grab a coffee on a dog walk. There have a great choice for vegans, usually 2 or 3 cakes/cookies and oat and soy milk for drinks. The biscoff cookie is incredible. There are also toilets which are very handy! The queue is sometimes quite big but always moves fast as they have lots of staff on and a good system.

It's really good with excellent food and drink😋! I highly recommend it. Really friendly staff and great place for dogs to hang out as well ( sadly I don't have a dog😭)

Great little coffee shop and more, to break your walk along the River Mersey. Full of dog walkers and cyclists, who want a rest and something to eat and drink before they continue their journey. Family atmosphere with lots of children enjoying a bit of countryside and fresh air. Lovely view if you're lucky enough to get one of the shelters.

Nice place to walk to and possibly would be better if I got something else on a different day. Cake was below average and the service was ok but he seemed rather distracted and made multiple mistakes in a short interaction.

I’m very grateful for this lovely little place on my local walk. There is a lovely shaded area to sit and enjoy the wide range of drinks and snacks they have. There are toilets too. A great place to relax and read a book with a brew 😌

Absolutely love this place. I hadn't been here for a while but it's nice to see their prices haven't skyrocketed like the rest of Manchester. When we arrived the queue was quite big, but they've got a good system going which meant we were served pretty quickly. There's plenty of seating, sheltered with canopies and they have some cute little huts too. Food and drinks are really yummy with a great selection of pies, baps, cake and drinks. The toilets were a welcome addition and meant our walk could continue a little further 🤣. I highly recommend this as part of a walk or bike ride along the river Mersey!

Cannot fault this place! Great walk to get here, always a great atmosphere and plenty of woods and dogs for the boys to play with.

Actually went to San Carlo in Manchester for breakfast the day before my visit to the Riverbank....No comparison, the atmosphere, friendly service, location & food of the Riverbank is perfect. I know its not like for like but ask me where I'd rather have a breakfast and it's down by the Mersey in a lovely copse of trees every time. A fantastic place to visit.

Deluxe hot chocolate very nice.They have little cabins to sit in if it's raining. Always seems very popular.

Absolutely lovely little spot on the riverbank. Beautiful memories of sharing my sons 2nd birthday with a friend here. The cabins are a lovely, simple addition. The waffles are amazing.

Not bad but a little expensive. The little cafe across the river at the cricket club is much better value. Shame they dont sell a pale ale or two.

Lovely tranquil coffee shop on the banks of the river Mersey. The coffee is delicious and the service is fast! Lots of delicious home made cakes, very tempting! The staff are very friendly and always greet you with a smile. It has been great to see this business expand and be successful in a short space of time. What a haven Dane and Jennifer have created here. Fantastic that they've added to the seating area and there are toilets here too. A perfect pit stop on a bike ride. The staff are always warm and welcoming. I love coming here to sit, relax and look out at the amazing riverbank views.

Without doubt, the best coffee shop for miles around. Knocks the high street/town centre shops into a cocked hat. My wife and I visit several times a week as part of a circular walk or longer cycle trail ride. We've been doing this since it opened back in 2020 and it gets better with time. Much credit to the owners and staff for excellent service. The coffee is proper barista standard and the quality of the food is excellent. The sausage rolls are already legendary but the pies are also top drawer. As for the ambience of the place, we love it. The peace and tranquillity in the early mornings is calming. And the place transforms with the seasons, not something you see in the high street. So get your boots on or your bike out and pay it a visit. You'll be glad you did.

Riverbank is definitely our favourite place for our daily dog walks! AMAZING coffee, lovely staff, beautiful views and tasty food!! It’s the perfect place for a family walk or to catch up with friends over a tasty cuppa and a delicious treat - the caramel shortbreads are SO GOOD! The team are so welcoming and always up for a chat! We love visiting almost everyday! Highly recommend!!

This is an amazing place to visit and so peaceful. I used the space as it really helps with my mental wellbeing. That said, the incident with the horse was really upsetting and quite unsettling. Thank goodness the horse owner was asked to leave the area, as it was 'unsafe' for a horse to be there. I know the owners pride themselves on building a fantastic business and health and safety has always been a priority! Horses are often around but definitely NOT in the middle of customers! People need to respect the safety of others. Riverbank Coffee is amazing, thanks guys
