Order some meal deals to pick up to and eat at the park. We ordered a hot pork sandwich, crab salad and ham and cucumber for the little one. All came with crisps a cake (we all got the pink slice) and a drink. The bread was soft and fillings plentiful and delicious there was even enough left over to give the birds some bread.

We always go for food and love the venue, decided to book the function room for a party. It was advertised as free on Facebook and in the restaurant but were told we had to place £100 deposit. We still booked it months in advance for a small family party, then when called to confirm number for the buffet, we were told it was a minimum of 40 people. Again this was not advertised on the Facebook page or in the restaurant. Despite this they still catered for us and the price seemed reasonable. On the day we were not impressed with the buffet, the food was nice but was not enough for what we paid, we expected everyone to be fed. The room is lovely and suited us perfectly, just small things ruined it. We were told music would be playing for us but then we had to connect a phone to do so, which wasn't an issue except it was an ancient phone cable and only 1 speaker worked in the room so the music was very quiet. Despite several Tv's non of them worked or were even connected. The stack of chairs next to the buffet didn't look very nice either. No baby change upstairs was a bit awkward having to walk down stairs through everyone eating to access. To be extra picky the tables the food was served on didn't look very tidy, like old school tables. The staff were great, giving us early access to decorate, keeping the cake in their fridge etc. Emma who ran the bar for us was amazing and highly recommend her. Was an amazing day overall just thought the venue let us down a bit, don't think we would use the function room again.

This was a first time order for a special anniversary. We were meant to be going out but I wasn't feeling too good (I have Fibromyalgia) so we decided to order a posh meal instead of the usual takeaway fare. The Bruschetta starter tasted strongly of basil and had melted cheese overpowering the tomatoes. I have never had Bruschetta cooked like that and I've eaten in many Italian restaurants including real ones in Venice and Rome. It's usually small diced tomatoes mixed with diced red onion, extra virgin olice oil and basil. Sometimes there will be a little drizzle of balsamic. I couldn't even detect the garlic rubbed on the bread. The tomato was whacking great chunks which had turned to mush under the huge smothering of cheese. The salad garnish was nice at least. My husband enjoyed his Smothered Potato Skins but did comment on the very large portion! Not a bad thing, I know lol. The mains - My steak was cooked to perfection (not lean though, as promised on the menu - I cut off quite a chunk of gristly fat) and the chips were to die for. However, the Diane sauce just tasted of cream - the mushrooms had no flavour and there was absolutely no hint of Brandy at all. It was very disappointing. My husband didn't enjoy his Chicken Parmo as he felt that there was far too much cheese and that's all he could taste. The Sticky Toffee puddings were amazing though - generous and moist with a lovely toffee soaked airy texture. The portion of cream that accompanied mine was laughable, however. It was the size of a dip pot and quickly soaked into the pudding so was undetectable anyway. I had to add ice cream from my own freezer to enjoy it. My hubby had custard with his - wish I'd had the same. Service was good and on time, everything was packed well and portions were very generous (apart from the cream, lol!) Based on everything not having much flavour though, and the weird starter, I don't think I'd order again. It's a real shame as it did put a dampener on what should have been a perfect evening. I really wished we'd gone out instead.

Have been getting take out from Ming for a number of years after I was introduced to it by friends. The restaurant is now under new management and it would also appear they have revised the recipe to the both the crispy beef and crispy chicken in hot sauce. Both really tasty and huuuuuge portions. A nice treat

This is the second time me and my partner have ordered from here the first time we ordered for delivery and they changed the price when they arrived at the door and just never thought anything of it and we have just tried to order again tonight they took forever to answer the phone then when they took our order they couldn't even tell us how much the food was they said it was between 20 and 25 something then hung up the phone and when we tried to ring back they just were not picking up the phone disgusting behaviour from the staff feel like they were trying to rip us off to be honest

Not impressed at all , apart from the building and cafe layout , which was very clean . Staff were helpful and pleasant , but , unfortunately the food (sausage and tomato pie) was awful , as was the ‘Cappuccino , probably from a sachet . The other items on the menu may well have been very nice , therefore my review is for the ‘ Pie’ and coffee alone , can’t comment on anything else . Won’t be paying a second visit ….. sorry .
