Ming Gardens in Sunderland

Have been getting take out from Ming for a number of years after I was introduced to it by friends. The restaurant is now under new management and it would also appear they have revised the recipe to the both the crispy beef and crispy chicken in hot sauce. Both really tasty and huuuuuge portions. A nice treat

I ordered a munchie box & it didn’t disappoint! Enough for 2/3 people and delicious

Food lacked any taste and chicken was jelly like, under cooked.

Waste of time, Tell you your food is out for delivery when it's not. Then mark as delivered on app and turns up cool 30 minutes later...

Excellent good quality food every time, perfectly cooked.

Ordered Chinese food as we have many times from this takeaway. Food was absolutely delicious. Not expensive and piping hot. Always good portions. Would recommend this place anytime.

We had to wait over an hour for our food. When it arrived the chicken didn’t look cooked, was quite slimy. The batter on the fried chicken wasn’t cooked

food cold collected 3min after collection ping nd drove 4 min bk was cold not stone cold but not hot enuf to eat

Disgusting service, order at 6:10pm and 7;45pm still not here! Rang restaurant and told driver has left and no idea what time he’ll be. No apology no nothing Won’t be using this service again

Probably the worst Chinese I think we’ve possibly had. Food was freezing cold, delivery was late. Chicken soup tasted like dish water.

Use to go here all of the time, never again it was an hour late and so salty. Probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. It had to go in the bin the chicken had a weird taste

2 hour wait for warm pop (despite requesting cold pop!) and cold food. Not impressed

It took 2hrs 10 mins to receive our order, we also had to put in the microwave to warm, food tasted fine but you shouldn’t have to reheat

Food over an hour late. Spare ribs dry as sticks. Egg foo young burnt and very watery. Very disappointing.

The food was disgusting. Tasteless, greasy soggy chips had buckets of salt on top. The soup even smelled rotten. Inedible, went in the bin- not happy spent that money and didn’t eat one thing. The food was also 20 mins late and the delivery guy instead on ringing the door bell banging on the door loudly when there was no need I felt he was in a rush. Never ever order from here again.

An hour late so food was cold, spare ribs and chicken was dry and chewy too. Sauces on the mains were okay but very disappointed overall.

Food not as described, states crispy chicken and it wasn’t. Garlic dish was Tasteless, soup was vile even the smell of it. Curry tasted like plastic. Salt and pepper chips were just normal chips with bucket of salt tipped upside down on them. Order was also late. Food went in the bin- waste of money and still hungry sit Saturday night- thanks mings 🤢

Ordered satay chicken was delivered sweet and sour chicken plus being 1 hour late I was not impressed

Don't know whats happened recently but the service has dropped so bad lately. Took 2 hours for delivery, and 30 mins past the eatimate. When arrived was freezing cold and missing half the order, phoned the restaurant and told will be at least another half hour for missing order to be made. Not willing to wait. Asked to cancel order and have food picked up for refund. Was told to keep food as compensation. Nice woman on the phone but everything else was such a let down. Going through just eat for my refund.

The chicken and pineapple had no taste and the chips were stale

All food was placed in the bin, freezing cold and very salty. Will not order again in the future

Ordered king prawn chowmein. Ended up with chicken chowmein. Being a pescatarian this was a bit of a problem as I couldnt eat it. Due to the time I collected this the shop was shut before we got home.

Spent a fortune on my order and requested no fish in the mixed meat satay and no lettuce in salt pepper chicken . Which wasn’t read . Had to bin both

Noodles was separete from prawns(do I have to cook them all together by myself?:D) Half noodles was burnt. Chicken was seperate from sauce I asked for sweet and sour got different style of chicken and also separate from sauce again.

Waited 2 hours for delivery rang the shop to be told my order had left rang back half an hour later because still hadn’t received order finally arrived food was cold and just disappointing ribs burnt what you pay for what you get is terrible wouldnt order from there again

Extremely weird situation. Our order was wrong like opposite bar the munch box so we rang they rang back and said the driver has our order he’s on his way back. They then asked us to re wrap our food. The drive came and asked if we had re wrapped it so he could deliver it!! We explained we opened everything (how could we tel it was wrong without doing that) and explained had ate couple of chips and opened the boxes… he said it’s fine never ordering from there again

The restaurant says there’s no minimum order for delivery until you get to the check out. Caused some confusion. Food was great.

Lovely food but a bit too salty.

Food arrived at requested time by a very friendly delivery driver. All food was hot. Everything was delicious and tasty. Great variety in the munch box.

The food arrived 30 mins late and was cold and overcooked. It all ended up in the bin, trying to chew the chicken and spare ribs was painful, it was just so overcooked and tasteless. I was really disappointed as I have really enjoyed the food from here in the past.

All of it was bland. Vile. Soggy, meat was horrid, curry isnt nice. Very very disappointed, sadly went into the bin. Such a waste

Food is lovely but sweat n sour sauce could be a bit thicker, apart from that everything is spot on. Delivery could be a bit quicker

It was the worst dinner value I’ve ever had .veg and potatoes plenty of, as goes for the meat full of fat beef ! and the rest of my meat the way it was cut was like scrap ends you would only feed to the dog not happy at all fuming

Ordered a takeaway for three of us and it arrived in a reasonable time. Food was quite good although curry sauce was rather bland. Chop suey was popular.

No major complaints, but sadly most of the food just wasn’t great. Noodles and rice were very plain and tasted oily, the sweet and sour sauce was really runny, and the ribs were a bit too dry. Chicken balls and salt and pepper chips were nice though. The food was delivered on time but overall a bit of a shame as spent a fair amount for a treat and barely ate anything. Was also a bit frustrating that they were unable to serve the salt and pepper chips separately to the rest of the munchie box. They did call to say this after we requested it so it’s not like they went against their word. But just as feedback for the future, I don’t think it would be too hard to just pop something in a separate box :)

Food was great however I don’t appreciate the delivery driver having his dog sharing the same seat as my food ! Surely this shouldn’t be allowed !
