Bad food terrible service here fir a birthday complete waste of money. Some of the food was good some inedible. The service from certain members of staff after I politely complained was shocking

Saw this place on Sunderland restaurant week Thought we’d give it a go OMG not disappointed Starter pizza and desert for £15 Massive starter The pizzas are unreal especially the homemade dough just delicious Desserts were equally delicious The waitress girls are lovely so friendly We will definitely be back Five big fat stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Just had Sunday lunch here and it was absolutely fantastic hubby had mince and dumplings said it is the best he has had the staff are lovely and very professional highly recommended this place booked in for next week 😀

Absolutely love Signatures, food quality is amazing, the staff are fantastic and prices are reasonable, can’t go wrong. Whenever I’m in Sunderland visiting family it’s the place to be! The Eaton mess is brilliant I’ve had a range of the mains all very nice specially the steak.

Can’t fault the place and the service offered by Gemma is amazing. My daughter has a milk allergy and she is always so helpful when it comes to allergy advice and making sure she is catered for safely. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she always makes sure our family celebrations are enjoyable.

Was nice but when I hot my Sunday roast was a hair in my mash got a nother for free 10/10 service

Booked for a party of 7, 5 adults and 2 children. Service was fantastic and food absolutely delicious. Restaurant was very busy but still got fantastic service and quality food. Also catered well for dietary requirements. We will be back again soon, thank you.

From the outside it is not appealing, but inside the restaurant is lovely. Visiting family in Sunderland and arrangements for 14 for Sunday lunch. A cheeky Aperol spritz to start. The service was good, but it was very busy with a good atmosphere. The decor is lovely in the restaurant and the staff are friendly. I thought I'd try the Chicken picante - okay, think I should have gone for Sunday lunch as served with seasonal veg. The Chicken Picante would have been better with Mediterranean veg... Sunday lunch is probably best on Sundays. A little disappointed but would try again in the week.

Great atmosphere and staff, seemed like the black pudding my partner ordered was microwaved. I asked for mushrooms on the pizza which they forgot, one of the waiting staff realised, returned the pizza to the kitchen, it returned very quickly with fried mushrooms added ontop, accompanied with deep fat fryer grease 🤢. The Pizzas are wood fired, so the base is beautiful (just don't ask for mushrooms 😉) Front of house staff are friendly and attentive 🙂. Apparently Sunday lunch is beautiful here, but I'm yet to try it.

Wow just enjoyed a wonderful roast beef dinner so tasty so full .The staff are so pleasant & friendly. I can't wait to return.

Unfortunately, Sunday lunch is no a speciality of this place the gravy was very rich and off putting, don't wish to say what it looked like. Mashed potatoes was quite hard, no taste with other stuff, quite bland. Service, well staff were all over the place bringing food out, no one asked there was anything else we required ie sauces. A barman who would rather listen in to other folk conversation rather than serve. Atmosphere, well as I was part of a large crowd, it was pretty dull as alot of us had the same thoughts on our food. Overall nice little pub/restaurant but poor quality and over priced.

Nice food and a good selection of alchohol. They offer take away as well which is great. However sometimes their phone manners could be improved. Parking is also horrendous I bet the local houses hate it.

5 stars is a understatement. First class service and fantastic food. Staff are A1 plus, such a friendly team. Give a try trust me you won’t be disappointed

OMG we love eating in.However today we a take out as iv been poorly. This take was Absolutely fantastic the presentation alone made you want to eat & enjoy the food.The roast beef lunch was red hot so tasty.Worth every penny Thanks.

A bit over priced for the venue. Food was OK, but not great. never offered a wine list just beer. Not somewhere I would hurry back to. Staff were very pleasant but very busy although it was only half full.

Another excellent night at Signatures for our granddaughters 16th Birthday. We had a large booth so had plenty of space and the food and service were outstanding as always. Our favourite restaurant of choice now, I can highly recommend it to anyone.

Great hidden gem! Beautifully light and thin pizza here, which you’d expect from that beast of a pizza oven. Will be back to try the pasta!

Food was lovely and I’d definitely come here again. Got the full rack of ribs and chocolate fudge cake for dessert, everything was very reasonably priced. The inside is very well presented and lovely and clean. My only down point would be the service, the place was pretty much empty when we came for dinner and yet service was very slow, asking us for drinks and to order etc took a long time. Once our order was taken though, food came out in a timely fashion so I won’t complain too much.

Visited for my birthday with large family group Sunday tea time - I’m gluten free and usually anxious about ordering however the waitress was so friendly & knowledgeable I felt comfortable. I had pork belly to start followed by Tuscan chicken and sticky toffee pudding - all gorgeous, fresh and reasonably priced. Little hidden gem in sunderland and can’t wait to be back to visit

We had a lovely meal here all 4 of us last night. So starters we had a prawn dish in cheese and the belly pork. Both dishes 😋 Mains was homemade chicken Kiev highly recommended by the lucky man who was eating it. 🤣 A hawian pizza with loads of topping and 2 of us having seafood pasta. The servings are very generous and high quality. The best meal I've had in a while. Not forgetting the great staff there. So attentive and helpful. Thank you!

Not sure whether they were having an off day but this wasn't up to their usual standard for Sunday lunch. We were there for a family get together and left very disappointed. Food was nice but not great. Seem to be concentrating more on takeaway orders rather than customers in the restaurant

Not a fan of the changes to the menu at all. Used to be reasonably priced, just paid £50 for what used to cost £30. The bread on the bruschetta was so hard it was inedible and I could have trained a chimp to have better customer service skills than the younger waitress with the long dark hair. Safe to say we won't be returning.

We were in the Sunderland area for my daughters graduation ceremony. My daughter booked Signatures for us all.We arrived and were given a nice welcome. We ordered drinks then the food. We all had pizza and my son in law had a rossoto. The food was absolutely amazing and very well cooked. I can't praise Signatures enough as I told a member of staff that it was the best pizza I'd ever eaten. If and when we are in the Sunderland area again we will certainly be visiting.I can honestly recommend Signatures to anyone,the service,food and the staff were great .Thankyou to all the staff. We loved it x

Over priced Undercooked Definitely off the list for next time

Having attended many times on this occasion we were let down though food had to be preordered they got a meal wrong and meant everybody else had to start eating as took well over 10 mins to sort the missing main . Also we paid £70 deposit and because 2 of our GP,s couldn’t make it we lost £10 . These serve the community of Silksworth so think it very upsetting that after speaking to the manager we were refused this to be deducted from the rather large bill. The practice will certainly not be returning .

Great food love it friendly staff

Bit annoyed about having to now put a deposit down for a table... We rang and asked for a table for 3 a week prior and paid a £15 deposit. A few hours later we rang to ask if we could change this to just 2. We lost £5 due to this. I think that this should be changed, fair enough for large parties but ultimately a 3 person table is just a 2 person table with a chair added to it. And it's not like we just didn't turn up. The food was however lovely. Its just a gripe with now paying a deposit.

Has had a beautiful refurbishment. The staff were lovely, they struggled to get food out quickly but we weren’t in any rush. The food was generally nice. I loved all of mine, my son didn’t like the prawn cocktail at all, the chicken & black pudding was dry and two pizzas were more crust than pizza. I would go back just for the Muscles they were delicious & my pizza was beautiful too. You can’t please everyone I guess. Marks out of 10. Starters: Muscles in Tomatoes & Chilli 10/10 Squid 5/10 Prawn cocktail 2/10 Tomato Garlic bread 7/10 Mains: Arrabiata 8/10 Chicken & Blackpudding 5/10 Pepperoni Pizza 10/10 Veg Pizza 5/10

Food was appalling...eg. prawn cocktail served with raw prawns and a spicy very greasy sauce...told it was because it has paprika in it! It certainly did not have Marie rose sauce and all who had it aged it was not nice. Basically told to suck it up! Main casse mussels..hmm. starter was the same size as the main! 20 mussels...small at that worked out as 79p each. The general standard of food has went downhill. We had pre ordered so we're expecting food service to be good...not so when some people were still waiting for over 10 mins for theirs or were given sides before their main arrived several minutes later. Please get a new chef and more staff...If we had not been their to celebrate a friend's birthday I would have walked out.

Food tonight, take out for a family of 7. Starters and mains, unbelievable. Everyone loved it and not a thing left on anyone's plate. Every meal was beautiful but a big shout out to the lobster ravioli and the gamberoni, the taste was unreal. Also lovely gesture from the restaurant, piece of cake and candle for the birthday girl. Awesome Sunday lunch with the best gravy I have ever tasted in my 57 years delightful helpful staff who go above and beyond to make sure their customers experience is as best as it possibly can be. Very poor today. Ordered penne arrabbiata and the pasta was like mush you could tell it was pre cooked and warmed up. The sauce was nothing but a greasy pool of tomato paste with no flavour. Salmon is listed on the menu as salmon is a tomato and spinach sauce came in a cream based sauce with 2 sun dried tomatoes swimming around again in grease and when we asked where the accompanying vegetables were they forgot! Despite stating our concerns we were told the food met their tastes and they had tasted it. If you can cook and have a far from basic palette then this is not the Italians for you!

Superb meal, full family thoroughly enjoyed it

Really impressed with our recent visit following the refurb, the place looks great. The staff are very friendly and the service overall was great. The pizza oven wasn’t fully operating but that didn’t make any difference to us as there was so much choice on the new menu. I had the cod wrapped in pancetta and it was absolutely delicious, we also had a mixture of starters, pasta and chicken dishes. I have already returned for a takeout and againeverything was perfect, this time the pizza oven was up and running and the garlic bread with tomato was delicious. I think this is my new go to Italian restaurant 😋

Unequivocally "the best" restaurant in town. Food is superb and always service with a smile. Been going to Signatures for a good few years now and just gets better and better. We'll done to the team and looking forward to next time 👍

we came to signatures on the 1st April for a family birthday. There was 16 of us including children. The staff were very friendly, quick service from start to finish. All our food was outstanding and served hot. I had lamb rump cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Sunday lunch our first time here for a Sunday lunch won't be our last it was so tasty really enjoyed our lunch.

Great service and food, managed to squeeze us in without a booking on a busy night. Will be back again happily! Wish we got some photos of the food but ate it before we could get a chance. Highly recommended

Came & had a meal a few months back & it was nice but since the, refurb I'll call it, it's not so good. Went with a few of us & the food was not up to much. Some got the food undercooked, some got it late & some didn't get it at all! We were told the oven was not installed properly so some of us who wanted pizza, which was pre ordered, couldn't have it. The whole experience was a costly mare!

Had a lovely family meal at Signatures tonight, service was spot on & the waitresses were friendly & knowledgeable. The refurb & new menu were amazing. Defo recommend & will be visiting again soon.

We decided to try out Signatures new menu tonight after a busy day. I had the Pork Masala with chunky chips and hubby had chicken Kiev. We were both very impressed, the food & service was excellent. Definitely a go to place. Beautiful food and excellent service.

OMG we've just enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch.Great staff lovely atmosphere. The restaurant has taken away its stag & extended the resturant brilliant idea.The Italian influence is so relaxing decor really enhanced the restaurant. We can't wait until our next visit.

Very pleasant service staff and the mince and dumplings are beautiful

We made a booking for 10 people initially. Another 3 people joined us and this was no problem at all for the staff. We had to wait a little while as they had to rearrange seating because of the very short notice of more people joining us. This wasn't a problem at all and we decided to have a few drinks in the bar while we waited. Brilliant service in the bar. When the table was ready we all headed through, and what an absolutely fantastic night we had. The food was fantastic and so where the staff. Would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. We'll definitely be going back. Food , atmosphere , staff and service fantastic. 👍

This was mine and my families first visit. What can I say. All the floor staff were brilliant, efficient, very friendly and worked so hard when it was so busy with a smile on the their faces. Sarah, Gemma, Cardyn, Lauren, Meena, Mia, Maya and Julie. Such lovely Staff. The food was absolutely delicious. We all enjoyed every mouthful. With such a wide selection of things to choose from. Also we didn't wait that long for our food. So well done to the chefs, Mario, Zia, Amine. We will definitely be back

We visited recently celebrating our friend Michael ps birthday. We enjoyed our first visit and looked forward to returning and we weren’t disappointed . The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food is amazing, so flavoursome and the portion sizes are good. The restaurant has a great buzz about it . We look forward to our next visit.

Our visit was to celebrate a birthday,very reasonably priced for the quality of the food, we all ordered different food and everyone agreed what they had was delicious. The service was excellent, very friendly, professional staff, attentive but not overbearing, we enjoyed it so much we've booked for Christmas lunch.

Went for Sunday lunch with my daughter and son-in-law. Got a generous plate of tasty well cooked food. It came quickly and was served efficiently by friendly staff. It's not a fancy restaurant in a fashionable area but it is very good.

Food was really nice, well presented and plentiful. Waitresses worked really hard, they were all friendly and polite. The only negative is the heat in the restaurant was overpowering, it was as really hot for customers so working in it must be a nightmare. Definitely...
