The best restaurants in Millfield Sunderland North East

I am reviewing the casino. We waited so long for Grosvenor to reopen this casino. It was fantastic. managements welcomed us. All staff greeted us. I can honestly say this casino has the best staff ever and we have been to quite a few up and down the country. No matter how busy they get we are always treated with respect and staff are always courteous. There are many a casino could learn a lot from Sunderland. Covid precautions excellent. Made us feel safe and secure totally understood our anxieties.All wore masks and constant cleaning, Cant praise them enough. thank-you.

Well worth a visit, do really nice food, band nights on Saturdays, games nights on Sundays, Quiz and bingo Thursday and cheap nights Mondays. All the staff are very accommodating and friendly. As you can tell we go often, oooh and the beer and drinks are really reasonable!

Visitamos Forhan's para una comida para llevar un domingo por la noche. Opté por el Steak Naan - bab. No tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para la comida, estaba listo en unos 25 - 30 minutos y era un pedido relativamente grande en todo. El Naan - bab tenía un gran sabor, sin embargo, el filete era muy duro, lo que se llevó de la comida ligeramente. La salsa que acompañó a la comida fue muy sabrosa sin embargo. Volvería a casa de Forhan pero probaría otra cosa la próxima vez.

Éramos 9 de nosotros - 2 familias fuimos a comer el domingo antes de ir a la pantomima y toda la experiencia fue genial. El personal era amable y servicial, el entorno era precioso y la comida era excelente. No somos de la zona, pero no dudaría en volver en nuestra próxima visita sin duda recomendaría.

We only stumbled upon this little gem recently, but it has become one of our absolute favourites! Especially for a spot of lunch. The cafe does real home cooked foods, from beautiful sunday roasts to an amazing chilli con carne. And don't even get me started on the home-made chips! The nostaglia this place makes you feel every - single - time is amazing. Anyone remember Dave's Cafe that was in sunderland town? Just a little cafe, nothing fancy, you got your cheesy chips and pop while your nana played on the slots after her 13th cup of coffee. Although there is no arcade, this place gives you full Daves Cafe vibes! Cheap and cheerful, with delicous food everytime. And a welcoming, friendly team of staff to top it all off! A point to add, I am currently pregnant and the staff have been amazing constantly allocating for all of my little craving whims! For the price, roughly £5-6 for a full meal, you CANNOT beat Taste Buds!

Visited for afternoon tea this week with a friend. You have a choice of 3 afternoon teas: a traditional, grandad g (savoury such as scotch egg, quiche, sausage roll and a cheese board to replace many of the desserts), and American (with burgers, chicken wings etc rather than the sandwiches). You have to book your afternoon tea in advance and pay a £5 deposit per head which is completely reasonable. We were served very quickly on arriving and the service was good throughout. However the food is the stand out, everything we had was absolutely delicious, all homemade and no faults at all with what we ate. The quantity of food served was huge, with 8 finger sandwiches per person on the traditional afternoon tea! There were 2 scones per person, and a variety of cakes each including a 3 tier slice of gateaux! The staff were happy to provide boxes for us to take leftovers home. I would 100% return for afternoon tea, and also to try more from the menu.

Best breakfast ive had in sunderland. After 4 hrs up A&e was very tasty. Very reasonbly priced and lovely little cafe . Even had heinz ketchup

Place was clean and prices reasonable. Friendly staff. Service was fast and there was a seating area too.

Went to waterstones today 30th September and was treated extremely professionally by two members of staff unfortunately I didn't get their names one was from Bulgaria and we had an amazing conversation the other was extremely polite and called me my lovely which believe me at 65 made my day. hang on to those two they will keep your customers coming back my sister and I certainly will. Well done

First time I have used this venue but will use again. I had the house special curry. Great portion size Good and tasty Price very competitive Ordered and the meal was ready within 15 mins

Our function was Sunday afternoon in the beer garden .and great atmosphere with our guests. However, the pub itself was empty. I think this was due to no food been available

Cosy. Staff were outstandingly helpful. Food was excellent,atmosphere great.

Good scran. Need to bring beetroot and honey mustard chicken back.
