Absolutely delicious and great value

The worst. Arrived 9:30 supposedly as much as you can eat which is impossible when your having to wait for food coming out as they only cook small amounts at a time. The chef had no urgency to get food out to the constant long queues as it was clear he did not enjoy his job by the miserable face on him as he was slamming dishes down. To top of the start of a bad experience I found a hair in the beans. I couldn’t tell you how the breakfast tastes as I decided a refund would be better at this point but it didn’t look great and other customers seemed to agree with my complaints but obviously too polite to demand the refund they’re entitled to. I won’t be back poor selection / options of food, poor service and hygiene questionable

Five of us booked for a meal at 7 pm . Hugely disappointing, we have been going to Marcellos or over 35 years. Seated down stairs , waited ages for drinks order to be taken. Husbanded ordered draft pint of moretti, waited at least 35 minutes for it to be brought , after repeated requests and being told the keg was being changed. Eventually food orders were taken and as we ordered we are told there is no asparagus not thatwe asked for it and asked if we wanted extra spinach instead of asparagus , which we said yes to. The food was fine . We asked for a dessert menu , left it with us while we decided what we wanted to order , decision made and waitress came back and said “ I’ll tell you what we haven’t got” which then reduced the dessert menu to about four items. I ordered pannacotta, a favourite of mine. Two others ordered flat white coffee to be told the coffee machine was broken . Pannacotta arrive a thin watery custard in a glass with some squirty cream and a couple of wafer rolls, it was so liquid it couldn’t stay on the spoon. Two of our party went to the toilets and came reporting that barely a dribble of water came out of the taps for handwashing and the hot air dryer was broken . A waiter asked if everything had been ok and when I said no he wasn’t very happy in fact bordering on rude . My first comment was that we had paper napkins while every other table had linen napkins, his argument to that was they had been very busy and that the paper ones didn’t have to be washed, I pointed out every other table had linens not paper even all the empty tables around us. He then said that we were late in the day coming in ( we booked for 7 pm and arrived a few minutes before that) I takend about the wait for the beer, and the poor quality pannacotta .he didn’t seem to think that anything said was of import. By this time we had asked for the bill three times and it hadn’t arrived so we asked again. Bill arrived and when I went to pay he took off the price of the pannacotta. I was really disappointed, we were there to celebrate a birthday and I’d hoped for a good experience for our family. We won’t return which is sad because we have had many happy times there in the past.

Este es el lugar perfecto para comer antes de un espectáculo en la estación de bomberos. La sala de máquinas tiene un ambiente acogedor y el personal encantador es atento y amable. El menú tiene un montón de opciones y nuestras hamburguesas estaban deliciosas. Me recomendaron la “legendaria” Crème Brûlée y ciertamente no decepcionó! Qué velada tan encantadora. Muy recomendable.

We stopped for a hot drink whilst in the area on business and the assortment of delicious looking cakes and savoury items on show looked amazing. We restrained ourselves and had an almond hot chocolate and a banana nut latte and both were really tasty. Staff were really friendly and it a warm and inviting place to go. Would go again if in the area.

Encantador pub cerca del Imperio perfecto para bebidas pre-teatro. Gran servicio y buen ambiente. Vale la pena visitarlo.

Fue absolutamente terrible esperó tanto tiempo por la comida y cuando llegó aquí faltaba una caja llena y cuando intentamos llamar al restaurante no respondieron a la llamada

I eat here often as i work locally. I find the choice of food to be varied and look forward to the welcoming smile of the Owners/Staff. I believe this is the best 'Sandwich Shop' in Sunderland and would highly recommend.

Rotten straight in the bin worst ever wouldn't even give it to the mut ya want to be ashamed of yourself

Sundays dinners are lush here. Great value for money too.

Went to subway today and I had the tastiest sub! I was served by such a kind, lovely lady who provided me with amazing customer service. Will be back again and I encourage you to go was fantastic!
