The Chesters is a great pub. Very clean and tidy. Food was great and the service was fabulous. I must shout out to the clean toilets! 10/10 visit I want to come back and try more menu items.

We went in for food a few days, we weren’t sure what to go for some we got some recommendations off Matthew at the time as he was serving us. He helped us through some good recommendation and he give us some good recommendations for food and drink and they went down a treat. Can’t thank Matthew enough for both the food and drink recommendations. We will back again soon.

Came for a pint and lunched got served by a waiter called Ibrahim made me feel welcome so nice definitely coming back due to his kindness

Had lunch with family and was really nice, food great and we had amazing service from Louisa, she was very pleasant and went above and beyond to help us, nothing was a problem at all, well done and keep up the great work

Went in a few nights ago with some friends girl behind the bar with glasses was happy to help us and was friendly bringing our app order to the table. Food was great and girl with the southern accent was lovely!

I just wanted to say we visited The Chester’s last night for quiz night. We weren’t sure at first but must say we had a brilliant evening. The atmosphere was great fun (mostly so when we didn’t know the answer to a question). The staff were very polite and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this pub as there is a great menu with lots of choice and great choices of gins too. Something for everyone 😃

Always guaranteed a good night in the chesters, fantastic atmosphere and staff always quick service. Lily, Jack and the rest of the staff always helpful and happy to chat. Couldn't say enough good things about the place.

Visited the chesters last night for an anniversary party in their function room was an excellent night. Young girl behind the bar was amazing couldnt do enough for us. The buffet spread was great and more than enough for everyone and the girl off the bar even offered us boxes to take what we couldnt finish home. Great night from start to finish will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend.

I went outside my with partner when i returned i discovered that a waitress named lillie served my daughter without asking ID she is 16 she looks older for her age yes could have been a mistake but even so she certainly does not look 18 if you look under 25 challenge no ID dont serve them appalling Not a manager in sight either

Great friendly pub but the food was absolutely awful! Lasagna was a disgrace. One sheet of pasta, with no bolognaise! What has happened to the place recently. I wouldn't give my dog the food. Scandalous for the price!! We have been coming to the Chesters for years...what an appalling meal. Such a shame.

Came for the match as had a table booked young lassy who served us wasn’t very polite and canny abrupt a nar it was match day but the look of things all customers were happy to wait their turn; but staff was just rude left as soon as match finished and went to another pub which had happier staff considering the outcome of the match

Due to visit today for football. Booked table on January 1st for table of 6. Thought I'd better check this morning and booking has been cancelled 2 days ago. No explanation . How am I supposed to get somewhere now.

Went for Christmas lunch and was very disappointed. Firstly it took 6 attempts for them to get the parties number right and the last member of staff who rang was very rude. Canapé were soggy crackers with something plonked on top. The main came with veg already plated whereas I would expect the veg to be separate and it was very under cooked. The Christmas pudding and custard came plated with a drizzle of custard. The service was slow and couldn’t wait to finish and leave. Also the function rooms is in a desperate need of a good lock of paint.

Used to love this place but since the start of this year it’s gone down hill massively. Food is never hot majority of bar staff are rude judging my other comments I am not the only one to experience no personality staff members.

What a cosy local pub. Plenty of ales to choose from and you even get a collectors card with it. Food was delicious, steak cooked perfectly and friendly service all round. We'll be back

Lass with glasses behind bar took at least maybe 4 minutes to even acknowledge me and my partner due to her being to busy having a little flirt about with the other young worker behind the bar and when she did eventually come over to take our order she didn’t apologise and may I mentioned there was nobody else waiting before me! It was just plain ignorance. Usually can’t fault the Chester’s but won’t be returning
